We really were.. the night time close down the park was the best decision we made all trip!!

We have never really done Disney in the dark...your report makes me def. have to put it on our list for this year!! Great TR!!

Love the cartwheel pics! And Declan's blue tongue on Buzz. And, everytime there is a pic of your DH on Buzz, I laugh. His face is always so serious.

My favorite though? The Splash Mountain pic. I didn't even think Jadziah was on there and then I saw the top of her head. I thought you were missing a kid!

Great update. The MK is so beautiful at night. I love being there then!

LOL..yeah my Hubby doesnt have the "goofy" gene at all..lol.. and LOL.. for once Dec wasnt the one that looked like he was missing..lol

My family loves closing down the parks. We get so much done at a park in that time, especially at Magic Kingdom.

So we are up to September 23rd 2013...

After shutting down Magic Kingdom we were all beat..so we slept in..and I mean it this time! Even after we woke up we didnt do much...for awhile

We decided to head to Hollywood Studios.... The kids wanted to see Sorcerer Mickey!

Mission was accomplished!

Now they just goofed off a little!

We HAD to ride Star Tours..

we had a bite to eat then we headed out.. HS just isnt our park at all..

We had ressies later at Cape May so we wanted to stay in the area..so we hopped the boat to Epcot.. Taejan was thrilled to see turtles by the boat ramp!

and then the rain began...

I love this area..

We opted to get out at the Y&B club and walk the rest of the way..we saw the reminants of a wedding..

I so wanted to be over there.. staying there..loved the Boardwalk!

and thus we got to the International Gateway..a first for us..we've never entered this way!!

Next..more more more rain!

So we went through the International gateway.. into the gift shop and bought ponchos.. it was raining with no signs of letting up!

We hadnt yet had shaved ice so that's where we headed!

in the rain...

now before I get any further..the rain DOES NOT BOTHER me.. in fact if the buildings werent so COLD we wouldnt even get ponchos..but being wet in AC is not ok!!

we headed off to the Maelstrom..we love this ride!

It was pouring so we hung out and colored for awhile

we basically did that as we meandred and wasted time until our Cape May ressies

we found a dry spot..under the Monorail..LOL

Of course we rode Living with the Land..but I must say..the amount of rain dripping in the green house was..well..WOW

Then we hit the Seas..and watched the divers

and headed back outside..into..you guessed it..the rain!

So we are outside..in the rain..

and we let the kids play in the fountain..afterall they were already wet!

then we headed the other way back towards the International gateway

and I wanted some pictures!

It was still a little early for our ressie but we headed to Cape May anyway..it had been exactly a year since we ate there to the day and I was so ready to eat again!!!

Cape May here we come!

So as I type this report..I really just want to finish..we just had to cancelled our Sept trip.. so I want Disney off my brain..

We got to Cape May..stopped for a little pin trading again of course!

Sat in the exact same area as the last trip..lol..and there was a mom from my Sept 2013 planning facebook group there..whoot!

Yes..it was Taejan's b-day..again..had he already done this once? I cant remember..but it was.. he LOVES crab so its fitting!

Ziah's favorite thing is the desserts!

Then it was back to the resort via a boat to HS and a bus. We crashed and chilled in the room...it was too rainy to do much else! We did end up swimming in the rain for awhile too.

And thus concludes another Disney Day!

Sorry you had to cancel your September trip.

I love your rain pics. We don't mind the rain either. I figure if we're going to spend that much on a vacation, I'm not going to let a little rain stop us. And when it's 90 degrees and raining, it's not so bad. I'd take that over the polar vortex we're dealing with now!

I really want to try Cape May. It look so delish!

And the pictures of your kids jumping in the room. Fantastic!

Yeah we are in the vortex too..sucks!!! Cape May is awesome..

We cancelled because honestly we didnt want to go.. 3 trips in 25 months that amounted to nearly 6 weeks there.. its overload

Thank you for this trip report. I spent about the last 2 days reading through it! It was so nice to see a family (about our size) staying at POR at about the same dates as we are sept 2014. Great seeing what we can expect for MNSSHP and such.
