Ok yall, so this whole fp thing for Disney SPrings and now the extra fp for CL members has got me worried about getting the fp we want....

Also I posted in theme parks forum but I wanted to get my Sept folks input.. What are the crowds like now in Sept does anyone get the crowd calendar? We use to go every Sept but haven't been since 2013.
    Someone ease my mind....

We were there last Sept just after Labor Day and I would say it was pretty quiet but the lines were longer than they had been during our last visit Sept of 2014. Based on what I saw on the news sites, the long lines may have reflected reduced staffing. Still one of the slowest times, but just not what it once was. Based on the crowd calendars I have looked at (touringplans.com and wdwprepschool.com) Sept is still ranked as low crowds. As far as FP+, I would say that is depends what you want to do and how long your trip is. Ours was only 4 days (3 park days) and I could get FOP or 7DMT for the first two days. I was able to get them by checking after 60 days, but I had to try frequently.

I'm interested in seeing what other experience between now and then with the new policies!

I'm slightly worrying about the new policies, but trying to just be calm and wait and see....

Ok thanks yall, I will remain calm as well, AND they Disney did say it was a pilot program so it may not be a permanent program...

Just upgraded our room at the Contemporary to CL theme park view. I'm hoping to cash in on this new 3 extra fastpass deal! Signature services wont let me book it yet but will let me submit my times for my FP choices in advance.

90 days from checkout day. We are only doing it on the more crowded days. 5 of the 10.

We just finalized our DVC rental this morning! We’ll be staying at AKL Kidani in a savanna view room September 15-20!! This will be our first time renting DVC and our first deluxe stay.

I’ll admit that this is the furthest out I’ve booked a Disney trip! What do you all do to pass the time until we can book ADRs and FP+? I’m so excited I can’t stand it!

COngrtas! Exciting isn't it? We booked our first DVC rental for Sept9-16th with a split stay between GF and Poly I'm excited to see what its like too, I have stayed Poly and GF before but it was CL.... IT will take some getting use to not having a club lounge for food and drinks lol

We normally book out as far as we can so we have more time to pay and more time to save up spending money... Those shops get me every time..

Just booked our flights today!!!!!!! :cloud9:
We will be staying off site at Sheraton Vistana Villages in a 2-bedroom lockoff with my mom, DH, DS who will be turning 4 on this trip :bday:, and DS who will be 10 monthspooh:! Dates are September 11 to 22!

    Things I'm looking forward to:
-low crowds (previous trip was Christmas week 2015, and while I'll always cherish the memories, NEVER AGAIN:crowded:!)
-Food and wine! Anyone know dates yet?
-maybe MNSSHP? I went in 2010 with ex-BF and had fun (lol, don't tell hubby!), but think it might be too late for our kiddos and think DH and I might like a solo night at F&W rather than MNSSHP? Thoughts?

    Things I'm worried about:
    -how hot it'll be :scared:
-if Toy Story will be open? Any rumours?
-no 60 or 30 day FP+ (will be going with DSis guest passes who will be a CM and so we can only make FP+ 7 days in advance). Hoping lower crowds alleviate the necessity for these.

    Happy planning to everyone!

NOt that its any of my business but if your going to be with a CM that CM can also book you a room on property very cheap... I'm only saying that bc I was a CM in 2014 and that's what I did..

Its rumored that Toy Story will be opened end of Summer

If its anything like a normal Sept in FLorida it will still get in the 90s why we take swim breaks daily it really helps, we go back to the parks 5/6 feeling refreshed

Congrats! We did three DVC rental stays last year (two trips, one with a split stay) and it worked out so well! Our first was at AKL Kidani, too. I think you will enjoy it and be glad you did the savanna view!

We have booked a few trips well before 6 months now and I spend most of the time between booking and ADR time (and between ADR and FP) planning and replanning our days! Probably not the best activity, but it is fun to dream!

We stayed in 2 rooms with the CM discount for Christmas 2015 when she was a CM! While it was wonderful, I'm looking forward to more space at SVV! Plus, mom is an owner so she's treating us! Can't beat free!!!

Think swim or nap breaks will be a must in that hot weather. My problem is I end up having such a great time in the parks I end up wanting to stay. But with 2 little ones in tow, they will dictate when breaks are needed.

Adjusted our trip dates to 9/1-9/8, as we cannot fly in on 8/31. Saves us a bit of money, since we would have been taking a late flight anyway. I'm ready to start planning park days! :D

Food & Wine dates won't be released probably for a couple more months, around when Flower and Garden starts probably. Toy Story is rumoured to open in May during the long weekend.

I was there (solo) Sept 2017. More crowded than my first trip in '07. But still "low" crowds. I suspect Irma kept the crowds away...

It was quite quiet the first few days of our trip, we came to Disney the week after the hurricane. I don't remember it being unmanageable in how busy it was, just so crazy hot. We very stupidly went out midday when it was at it's hottest instead of going to the parks in the cooler times of day. Mind you, on our MNSSHP night it was still so hot and humid even well well after nightfall!

Woohoo just bought tix off Unofficial Ticket center I saved $60,now I just have to wait for my Confirmation number they send me from Disney so I can add the tickets to MDE
I was reading how in Feb they normally increase price of the tickets so I figured I needed to go ahead and bite the bullet.

Also paid for DDP on the first half of our DVC stay (VGF) so now all I have left is to pay whats left of my DVC Rentals by July 26th and add DDP to my second half of the trip at Poly Villas.. I cannot wait to start making my ADRs and FP!
