The Last Trip: An (Eastern) Fantasy Food Adventure-Bonus Feature, Pam & Her Mom Pt 2 Sept 17 the end

Lunch was great and super filling!

That is a nice spread on the island.

I wasn't paying close attention and I thought I was getting a Strawberry and vanilla cone, but it turns out that it was strawberry and banana. It was surprisingly good, I never would have expected that.

Glad you liked it! I would have been mad it wasn't a Dole Whip.

The skies looked ominous so we decided to head back to the ship in case the rain came back.

Bummer that it wasn't a better day for you there.

This decal was on our mirror for the Star Wars day. I now have it on our french doors in the family room along with the Captain Mickey which was gifted to us on the Alaskan Cruise! It reminds me daily of what great times we had on our cruises and how much I want to go back!

Very cool! Always nice to have those memory triggers around.

We ended up talking for the entire time. She had seven kids and six were on the ship, so she was hiding from her family.

:rotfl2: I can relate.

I wanted to stop by Skyline for a drink before dinner. This is my favorite bar on the ship and we had only been in it for the Mixology class.

I can see the appeal! Looks like a very cool bar.

OMG! I'm trying to catch up buy I just saw the first part of the Castaway day and I love your tank top!!!! It's HM right? Where did you get it? I might have to find one for myself.

Is the spa co-ed? Like the main parts? Just wondering if I could go with my husband or not.

Fun update. The lady at the jacuzzi was hiding from her kids. :lmao: I know the feeling. ;)

The kids did look ominous; glad you didn't get rained on. I was very happy as well with the buffet on CC.

Strawberry/banana? :scared:

I seem to be following your food posts tonight. YUMMY meals!

That poor lady in the jacuzzi. SEVEN kids? WOW!

Looks like it's been a great cruise.

Playing a bit of catch up and have enjoyed the chapters of your day from the BBQ and fruity drinks by the sea. I'm glad Fran's scooter worked on the packed sand; there have been times in past TRs where it hasn't worked out so well. Dinner looked yummy as usual. You know... I"ve never tried Beef Wellington. I need to change that! Mmm! Looks great.

I love the CC BBQ, so much good food and it tastes better with an island breeze!

I can see why that bar would be a favorite. Very nice in there from your photos.

Every 12 minutes you are whisked away to another beautiful nighttime skyline in a famous city, it so cool!

Star Wars Day at Sea sounds very interesting and see all those people all dressed up is neat as well especially with the mini Stormtrooper.

It was fun! So many people got all into it!

Very nice pics with Vader. I can never get tired of seeing your food porn pics during your DCL trips. The desserts look good and at Animator's Palate looks amazing.

Thanks, all the food on DCL is so good. I really love being on the ship.

Nice to read that you will be going back to Florida in Oct/Nov. With the Disney Parks which rain scares the guests away just like at CC.

I'm really looking forward to it. While it won't be the two week Panama Canal cruise, I will be meeting up with a few folks!

Glad that Serenity Bay was not raining and had quite a nice time. Dinner at Enchanted Garden looks great. I always say that about your food pics but it is nice to see all the different dishes that you try during your DCL.

We kissed the rain at Serenity Bay which was nice!

Great last day. Lunch at SB is always a favorite of ours with all that fresh yummy food. Glad the packed sand was easy for the scooter. Also glad you avoided the rain.

I've never eaten at the regular place and doubt I will. There are just a few extra offerings that I like, and it's so much nicer without kids running all over.

Lovely to spend more time in the RR.

Love the SW decal!

Well done with your packing early.

Part of the reason I got to go to the Rainforest Room was that I packed up most everything on the day at sea.

From the latest reports, people are dropping chum off the coast of Long Beach to make the shark sightings even better.

Brilliant.

:sad2:

I was kind of wondering how you didn't recognize it....

Because I'm stupid.

Our first meet was with R2D2 and C-3PO.

No way!! Super cool!!

(Totes envious.)

OMG! I love your skirt!

I thought R2D2 was a virtual door stop, but he moved to give more room when Fran got in the picture.

Cool! Did he make any R2 noises?
I would imagine that he was remote controlled and didn't have someone inside.

Unfortunately they lost the PP photo of me and Vader,

Well, that sucks...

so I'm glad we had the handler take pictures with our camera as well.

... but those turned out well.

Throughout the entire meet and greet he was continually talking about us being recruited, and to be ready when they came for us.

Holy crap, the dude is tall!

On the way there I started stalking this Tusken raider, but he completely ignored me.

Maybe you didn't have anything he wanted to steal.

These are the ladies I'm looking for...

Auto focus on the camera got turned off so a lot of the next pictures are blurry.

I hate when that happens. Done it a few times. :sad2:

Dude. Put a shirt on.

Then we got a couple roast beef sandwiches, chips, pickles.

Pickles. Lots of pickles. No wonder I like you.

It was time for our Remy Dessert tasting.

Oh, man. I would so do this! Dessert? Yes!!

Our first dessert was an apple thing. I wish that I could give you a better name, but all it says on the menu is Pomme.

Well, that about says it all!

That looks really good.
You don't really say, but... any standouts in the desserts?
Any you didn't care for?

Very pretty presentation.

These are from somewhere in slovakia and are very pricey per ounce. The sweetness and fermentation of these wines was discovered by accident, but has become a treasure!

Really! Had no idea.
How was it?

and supposedly the little lump of cream was coconut infused, but I couldn't taste it at all, neither could Fran.

A good coconut is an absent coconut.

But I suppose a tasteless one is a close second.

we found out that we had already had that wine on the night we dined at Remy, so he substituted a Cabernet Sauvignon Ice wine for our last two desserts. This is one that they would normally serve at this tasting, however, on this cruise they did not have enough for everyone so they substituted the one on the printed menu. He had just enough for us, so he let us have this one.

Nice.

There was a cannelle of caramel ice cream and they poured a warm vanilla sauce around it.

:faint:

The final dessert was something they playfully referred to as a French Kit Kat. The base was made from crepes that had been baked until crisp and then crushed into a crust. On top of that was a sort of chocolate mousse which was then enrobed in dark chocolate.

Wow. Not a huge dark chocolate fan, but.... want.

Great shot of you guys!

There was this bottle of Lasseter wine sitting out. He always produces a limited amount of wine for each Pixar feature

Have you ever tried it?

Wasn't an easy choice, but I'm picking this one as my fave.

For appetizers we both had Jar Jar Binks Nyork Chowder.

So was the chowder excessively annoying?

We both agreed that we should have split an entree. Not wanting to waste anything, Fran had a baggie in her pocket. She sliced the meat Into strips and put it in the baggie.

Would they not give you a doggie bag if asked?

I wasn't feeling so good, and thought if I just took a little time, the food would settle and I'd be ready for some dessert.

Uh, oh...

But as I sat, I realized that wasn't the case. Fran noticed too and sent me back to the room. I made it just in time for my own worship ceremony. I blame either the coffee from the dessert tasting or the rich chocolate. No more after meal coffee for me, just in case. Now I'll only drink it before or with breakfast.

... Oh, that's too bad. Sorry to hear that Alison.
Hope you weren't ill for too long.

While I was back in the room suffering, she did get a final picture of our servers.

Evidently when she got back to the room, I asked her what took her so long? But really I didn't know anything from squat. I had passed out and barely remember her coming back to the room.

Awww....

This was the towel animal on the bed when I back to the room.

Love it.

So another Real Life update. We lifted the Travel Ban!

yay!

It's just been so overwhelmingly hot here, we are taking baby steps.

How hot has it been? I haven't been watching. In the 100s?

We have two major furniture pieces still to list on eBay/Craigslist. So the end is in sight, pretty much.

The relief must be palpable.

The 1st class/business flights that we used to take for 25K miles for each jaunt are now 45K each flight.

Whoa. That is quite the jump! How do they justify almost doubling it???

So for that reason, we went ahead and booked flights to Orlando in Oct/Nov.

Oh? When?
I am pondering another solo trip to the world in the fall.
Although, TBH, it would probably be in November.

The agent who helped me book our tickets told me that we get our money back for the third seat regardless, but I am skeptical.

Yeah... sounds a bit off the cuff.

We had decided to wait to go on the island since the barbecue in the adult area didn't open until 11:30.

I had to scroll back up to see which island you were at.

Sheesh, Disney. Put the dome up for Pete's sakes!

While we ate Breakfast she requested that we watch Beverly Hills Chihuahua.

Never heard of it. Is that new?

Since there was no one in there, I snapped these shots.

Always tricky. But thanks for all those!
I got to look around an area that I may never see. :)

I don't know why, but I really like those benches.

First I went in the Turkish bath (similar to a steam room), but it wasn't as nice as an actual steam room. So I went into the actual steam room.

So what was the difference?

Hot tub with a view. Nice!

I have seen almost this exact photo.
I think I was looking for ideas for loungers.

They're heated and soothed my aching shoulder muscles.

Niiiiiiice.

The rain had long since let up

Oh good!
From those previous shots, I thought it would rain all day.
Maybe others thought the same and that's why the beaches were empty.

I stopped in the Cove Cafe to get my double Americano and realized that I forgot my coffee card. This was my last one before I got another free one. The CM was so nice he gave me a new card with 5 stamps on it! Perhaps adding on an extra tip (even if it's small) helps out.

 Score!!

I also tried to get mayonnaise, but when I pumped the dispenser, the nozzle shot off and hit the floor!

Whoops! But then again, better on the floor then on your clothes.

As we rode down in the Elevator I noticed a photopass photographer in the Atrium so we went back up and were rewarded with photo ops with Mickey and Pluto in their beach wear.

Good timing.
And cute shots!

The sand looks dry. Was it?

Anything interesting? Or mostly Disney stuff that you could get anywhere? Or more Castaway Cay specific?

She really liked the idea that the area was all paved,

I can see how that would be appealing.

Soon we were boarded onto our tram to Serenity Bay and heading down the airstrip to our lunch.

That just boggles my mind. Having worked in aviation pretty much my entire career...

A tram on an airstrip.... makes me nervous!!

Love that shot.

The mahimahi caught my eye and would've been the first thing I'd try.

They had gazpacho and Fran was all over that.

As would I!

Aw! Look at that smile! There's one pleased as punch lady! :)

The area was sandy, but the sand was so well packed that she didn't have a problem with her scooter on the packed sand.

I was wondering about that. Glad it wasn't an issue.

We got tomato salad, potato salad, cous cous, corn on the cob for veggies. She got a burger, I got a hot dog to split. I also got a pork rib and some Mahi Mahi. She also asked me to get her a plate of fruit. Lunch was great and super filling!

:faint:

Want.

Fran skipped dessert but I decided I would have an ice cream cone. I wasn't paying close attention and I thought I was getting a Strawberry and vanilla cone, but it turns out that it was strawberry and banana. It was surprisingly good, I never would have expected that.

Huh. Never heard of soft serve banana. I'd try it. But would be hesitant, to say the least.

I had to have a coconut to go with our mug collection.

No.

Well... Okay. I kinda like them.

You may get one.

Of course we just missed the tram

Making up for having one waiting for you earlier.

This decal was on our mirror for the Star Wars day. I now have it on our french doors in the family room along with the Captain Mickey which was gifted to us on the Alaskan Cruise! It reminds me daily of what great times we had on our cruises and how much I want to go back!

:goodvibes

But first I stopped by Guest Services to increase the tip amounts for our servers and stateroom host.

You are the opposite of my Mom. She goes and reduces the tip.

Former teacher. Notoriously poor tippers.

One of the hot tubs was occupied by a couple, but the other had just one woman in there so I climbed in.

I couldn't do that. Not in a tub that size, anyway. If someone's in the tub already... I'd just leave.

We ended up talking for the entire time.

However... that's nice. :)

She had seven kids and six were on the ship, so she was hiding from her family.

:lmao:

I wanted to stop by Skyline for a drink before dinner.

This would be my number one spot that I'd like to see.

She also got a bowl of Lobster Bisque

Yum!

She had the Beef Wellington and was very happy with this.

Never had Beef Wellington. And I'd sure like to! I watch Hell's Kitchen and they're always talking about it.

Our tablemate got the same plain chicken that she liked so much.

To each their own, I suppose.

Clever towel animal.

Well eventhough the weather didn't completely cooperate looks like you had a good CC day, that lunch looked great.

It was a nice lunch and I like sitting at that bar watching the ocean. So I accomplished my goals for the day.

Glad you were able to get in another rainforest visit :thumbsup2 6 kids in one family? Yeah I'd be hiding from my family too at that point :scared1:

I don't have kids, but if I did, I would probably hide from them! :rotfl:

Loved Enchanted Garden, definitely my fave restaurant on the Fantasy! Looks like a great last dinner (sad though....last dinner....*sigh*) Also seeing your SW decal reminds me I forgot to take ours from our mirror, I remembered it a couple days after we were home and looking at all our photos :sad2:

I like it too, it's probably my favorite MDR.

Can't believe your report is nearly done!

I'm sort of glad it is. I have plenty of bonus material from my day trips to DL. Once I've finished this TR, I can post my bonus features here and then I'll only have one TR to keep up!

Packing the bags... never a fun task. Not a bad afternoon/evening though! I really think the Skyline bar looks cool. I've obviously never been in any of the bars on a Disney ship, but I can see how this could be an easy favorite.

I do have to say that I only visited one other bar in the adult entertainment district, but I love the idea of seeing the Skylines of various cities.

That is a nice spread on the island.

Something for everyone! :teeth:

Glad you liked it! I would have been mad it wasn't a Dole Whip.

I don't think they had any Dole Whips on the ship.

:sad2:

Very cool! Always nice to have those memory triggers around.

Especially when they're already included in the price.

:rotfl2: I can relate

I bet you can!

I can see the appeal! Looks like a very cool bar.

:thumbsup2

OMG! I'm trying to catch up buy I just saw the first part of the Castaway day and I love your tank top!!!! It's HM right? Where did you get it? I might have to find one for myself.

Is the spa co-ed? Like the main parts? Just wondering if I could go with my husband or not.

I got the tank top at the shop in DL where they sell HM and Jack Skellington merchandise. They're out of the purple ones and are selling gray ones now.

The changing rooms are separate but the Rainforest Room is co-ed.

Thanks. I meant to say that I liked your light saber skirt too! You always have the best outfits!!!

Fun update. The lady at the jacuzzi was hiding from her kids. :lmao: I know the feeling. ;)

Yeah, except your's are old enough that you have to get creative on where to hide because they can go most anywhere you can!

The kids did look ominous; glad you didn't get rained on. I was very happy as well with the buffet on CC.

We did luck out with the rain on this trip.

Strawberry/banana? :scared:

It was actually pretty good!

I seem to be following your food posts tonight. YUMMY meals!

Chances are if I'm posting there is food involved.

That poor lady in the jacuzzi. SEVEN kids? WOW!

Well, it's not like she didn't know what she was getting into... :confused3

Looks like it's been a great cruise.

It really was. I can't wait to go back!

No way!! Super cool!!

(Totes envious.)

OMG! I love your skirt!

Thanks, it took some work on my part to be able to fit into it!

Cool! Did he make any R2 noises?
I would imagine that he was remote controlled and didn't have someone inside.

I think he did make some noises, I was so engaged with C-3PO that I wasn't paying much attention to R2D2 and then he moved! I was so blown away by that, and the photographer flashing the camera I was sort of on sensory overload!

Well, that sucks...

... but those turned out well.

Thanks!

Holy crap, the dude is tall!

I didn't even notice that until you pointed it out!

Maybe you didn't have anything he wanted to steal.

I guess not.

These are the ladies I'm looking for...

I hate when that happens. Done it a few times. :sad2:

I'm glad that I figured it out before the dessert tasting!

Dude. Put a shirt on.

Well in his defense there are pools on either side of the food court. You can't see them but they're probably less than 25 meters away on either side.

Pickles. Lots of pickles. No wonder I like you.

I would have preferred a pickle spear, but those don't go well on hamburgers so you have to eat a lot of slices to make up for one spear.

Oh, man. I would so do this! Dessert? Yes!!

It was very nice, but I'm not sure I would do it again.

Well, that about says it all!

That looks really good.
You don't really say, but... any standouts in the desserts?
Any you didn't care for?

I liked all of them, but probably the one with the caramelized pineapple or the "soup like" one would have been my favorites.

Really! Had no idea.
How was it?

Oh, it was very good. We went to a winemaker dinner once where they poured only Tokaji wines. It was super expensive and they only gave small pours, but wines were very good. I think you would like them, they are sweet.

A good coconut is an absent coconut.

But I suppose a tasteless one is a close second.

I was afraid to try it at first, but when Fran said that she couldn't taste any I got brave.

Great shot of you guys!

Thanks!

Have you ever tried it?

I have not tried any of the wines with Pixar labels, but I've been to a Lasseter wine dinner (with John and his wife present), and a spoiler alert on the other TR, one of the wine demos that we went to on our last day at the F&W Festival was with Lasseter vineyards. We are even members of their wine club. I just had a bottle of their wine the other night.

Wasn't an easy choice, but I'm picking this one as my fave.

I just don't choose, but it's hard to weed out which ones I'm going to post.

So was the chowder excessively annoying?

:lmao:

Would they not give you a doggie bag if asked?

No, you can't take food "to go", which is weird since you can take it from the buffet or the quick service back to your room. Something to do with germs and disease breaking out. Like if you don't put it in your cooler and then eat it the next day. And who is to say that you're going to eat your room service order right away? But no they don't want you taking food from the dining rooms.

Uh, oh...

... Oh, that's too bad. Sorry to hear that Alison.
Hope you weren't ill for too long.

Well once I got whatever it was that was bothering me out of my system, I went right to sleep and felt fine the next morning.

How hot has it been? I haven't been watching. In the 100s?

Well luckily not in the 100s in Long Beach, but in Palm Springs it's been up to 122, we've been in the high 80's but with 90% humidity. We always used to say it was a dry heat, but with all the climate change and such our summers have been full of monsoonal moisture.

The relief must be palpable.

Well since nothing has happened again for two weeks, there isn't much relief.

Whoa. That is quite the jump! How do they justify almost doubling it???

Well as I think about it, the last couple trips we paid the 45K, but that was because we wanted the non stop flight and didn't want to change in Dallas. However now even the flight's with a plane change are 45K as well. Ever since American and US Airways merged it's been going downhill. The used to bake cookies near the end of the flight. That stopped as soon as the merger took place.

Oh? When?
I am pondering another solo trip to the world in the fall.
Although, TBH, it would probably be in November.

Bummer. We leave Nov 2nd. We get there on the night of the 25th.

Yeah... sounds a bit off the cuff.

Well we will just have to see. It would be nice to get some $''s back if that is the case!

Sheesh, Disney. Put the dome up for Pete's sakes!

I know, is a little climate control too much to ask?

Never heard of it. Is that new?

No, it's a fairly old movie. 2008, I just looked it up. George Lopez and Drew Barrymore were the main stars (voices). There have been two sequels since.

Always tricky. But thanks for all those!
I got to look around an area that I may never see. :)

I doubt you would ever get to see the women's locker room!

So what was the difference?

Both were humid heat, but the steam room has a big burst of steam every few minutes. The room is so steamy you can't see across it. The Turkish bath you can see everyone clearly. I think I like the anonymity of the steam room better.

Hot tub with a view. Nice!

I can't wait until the next cruise to get in it on a day at sea!

I have seen almost this exact photo.
I think I was looking for ideas for loungers.

I can't imagine how much these heated ones cost!

Oh good!
From those previous shots, I thought it would rain all day.
Maybe others thought the same and that's why the beaches were empty.

That's the thing about a lot of these storms, they pass through and it's nice the rest of the day. Usually.

Whoops! But then again, better on the floor then on your clothes.

Very true.

The sand looks dry. Was it?

I done know. I never went on it!

Anything interesting? Or mostly Disney stuff that you could get anywhere? Or more Castaway Cay specific?

Just about everything was Castaway Cay specific. Only place on the planet you can get it.

That just boggles my mind. Having worked in aviation pretty much my entire career...

A tram on an airstrip.... makes me nervous!!

Well considering that planes don't land on it any longer, I don't think it's an issue. It was only when the island was used for drug smuggling that the trams could pose a problem for planes.

The mahimahi caught my eye and would've been the first thing I'd try.

That was my entire reason for wanting to skip the family buffet. That and the Rib Eye were exclusive to the adults beach buffet. Perhaps some of the salads as well. When I went up and took a peek at the family buffet, I immediately saw no Mahi Mahi, and that clinched the decision for me.

Aw! Look at that smile! There's one pleased as punch lady! :)

I wish she would never that happy at home!

I was wondering about that. Glad it wasn't an issue.

Me too!

Huh. Never heard of soft serve banana. I'd try it. But would be hesitant, to say the least.

They had lots of odd flavors at the soft serve machines on the ship. I'm not a huge fan of soft serve, so I only went there the one time to get her a tub of it, earlier in the cruise.

Well... Okay. I kinda like them.

You may get one.

Thank you, it looks nice along with our Iron Man, Haunted Mansion mug, Spaceship Earth....too many souvie mugs!

Making up for having one waiting for you earlier.

Karma. Always gets you somehow. Evens everything out.

You are the opposite of my Mom. She goes and reduces the tip.

Former teacher. Notoriously poor tippers.

Actually you can't do that. The sheets they leave for you are the minimum amount you have to give your host/servers. But we have always had such excellent service we feel they should be rewarded. Besides, they are paid almost nothing. The only pay they really get is from tips which is why they are so willing to do almost anything for you.

I couldn't do that. Not in a tub that size, anyway. If someone's in the tub already... I'd just leave.

I can understand. If it were a guy in there, I would have been reluctant to get in.

This would be my number one spot that I'd like to see.

There are so many places on the ship that are just spectacular. But this one is high up there!

Never had Beef Wellington. And I'd sure like to! I watch Hell's Kitchen and they're always talking about it.

I've only had it at Disney, on the cruise ship and at a place that you have dined at.

Clever towel animal.

They usually save that one for the end of the cruise. I think they think it's the most creative one.

Day 9

I woke up at 6AM to find we were already docked at the port. That was a relief. At least we wouldn't be subject to the nightmare of last week at the port. We still had to pack our carry-ons, and I had to pick up our picture USB drive and get my free cup of coffee!

Amazingly enough we were out the door of our stateroom 10 minutes before the 8AM suggested (well, mandated) departure time. We went back to the Enchanted Garden and we had the table to ourselves. The tablemates had let us know that they planned to do the walk off early and wouldn’t be coming for sit down breakfast.

I got Eggs for the Road with eggs over easy, a V8 and a couple danishes.

She got a V8, Chocolate milk, chocolate croissant and blueberry muffin as well as the Route 66, her eggs were a tiny portion, so it was good I only planned to eat one of mine.

We both surrendered to our breakfast and gave up before we could join the clean plate club. Then it was “get off the ship” time. They weren't even making the announcement that “all remaining passengers should disembark the ship at this time” yet. We were doing great timewise!

Once we got off the elevator to the room where you find your bags, a spry old broad singled us out and swooped in to help out. She was small but mighty and handled our seven bags (including carry-ons) with ease. Customs was a breeze, other than the customs agent calling me Goldilocks, soon we were on our bus to Walt Disney World.

We arrived by 10:30, and were dumped on the doorstep of the Boardwalk. Before we could do anything I had some major banking transactions to conduct. I had tried to transfer around money on the ship, but the wireless signal wasn't strong enough. My Disney Visa card was set up to pay on Monday and a PayPal payment I expected before our trip came through while we were sailing. In addition to the PayPal Transfer I also moved some money from savings just in case. This is the story of my life, even today I was moving our money all over the place to make things work out. Ugh.

With our financial future secure (at least for the next week), we put all our beverages into suitcases from the scooter bag, and checked them with the bellman.

We checked in at the registration desk, no our room was not ready yet, but we got our key and headed off to Epcot, via the General Store. I wanted to make sure they had what I needed for breakfast the next morning and immediately found a T-shirt I had to have.

Then we were really on our way. The Flower and Garden Festival had started only days before we arrived and we were excited to see all the topiaries this year! Especially since we were here at the same time last year!

Our plan was to meet up with Denise (@dhorner233) and her cousin. They were already in the park, and met us outside the shop at the International Gateway. We headed towards France and chatted as we went around World Showcase, looking for kiosks that might interest us.

We made a note to come back to the kiosk in France for a Macaron for dessert. I got a Grand Marnier Slushie, my first! It was very good!

We passed on the Florida Fresh booth as just about everything had cilantro in it. I realized that the Morocco kiosk had a Merguez “Hot Dog” which certainly got me curious. I have almost 3 lbs of Merguez in my freezer at home so I'm looking for other things to do with it besides Cous cous. There was no line here! It was spicy and I think I'm the only one who really liked it. While I liked it this was not my favorite preparation of this and I have another recipe with lentils that I tried last Friday night. It was really good and the only complaint we had was that I didn’t make enough sausages.

When we got to Japan, there was no line, and I wanted the Ahi Tuna Poke and the Beef Udon noodles, but I also wanted to eat my lunch so we skipped it. We watched the Taiko Drummers for a few minutes before moving on. But first we admired these miniature gardens.

We got to the American Pavilion and saw the line for the kiosk, it wrapped around the place. Evidently barbecue is more popular with the Epcot crowd than Ethnic food. We had 20 minutes until our reservation at Chefs de France so we turned around and headed back to France. But not without taking our meet photo to prove we did meet.

As we left Japan, we found our first candidate in “the Lizard game”. Not sure if we’re just crazy or anyone else plays this, but we like to count how many lizards we see on our trip. We keep a running count. I don’t remember how many we saw because the number was so small, not sure if it was the season or that our WDW was only two nights, but we didn’t see many.

When we reached France we said our goodbyes, they were heading back to their room, while we were going to have our lunch!

Love the marie shirt!

Is there any Disney World resort that you haven't stayed at or ship you haven't been on?

Can you direct me to your DL TR please?

Love the marie shirt!

Is there any Disney World resort that you haven't stayed at or ship you haven't been on?

I haven't stayed at any of the Value resorts, and I haven't stayed at Caribbean Beach, technically I haven't stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter, as I've only stayed at Riverside when it was Dixie Landings.

Can you direct me to your DL TR please?

Technically it's my TR from last year's F&W Festival

Sounds like it was a pretty easy morning getting off the ship. Great that you had a mini-meet!

Love the CC shirt and the Marie shirt.

I've never eaten at the regular place and doubt I will. There are just a few extra offerings that I like, and it's so much nicer without kids running all over.

On our very first cruise we went to the regular BBQ on CC, only because it was a double dip and we had already eaten at Serenity Bay. We much prefer the SB lunch and have never gone back to regular place.

Great last morning on the ship, you made excellent time. Loved seeing the pictures of the Quiet Cove. I'm ready to go back :hyper:

Awesome that you remembered to get your free coffee.

I LOVE your CC shirt!!! I must buy that when we go next year. I hope they still have it!

My SiL would adore that Marie shirt, if I see it I must buy it for her. I've never seen it before.

Sounds like an excellent debarkation - and there is no better cure to the just-got-off-the-Fantasy-blue than a stay at WDW right after!

We still had to pack our carry-ons, and I had to pick up our picture USB drive and get my free cup of coffee!

Gotta have priorities!

Amazingly enough we were out the door of our stateroom 10 minutes before the 8AM suggested (well, mandated) departure time.

Wow! Nice work out of you two!

We both surrendered to our breakfast and gave up before we could join the clean plate club. Then it was “get off the ship” time. They weren't even making the announcement that “all remaining passengers should disembark the ship at this time” yet. We were doing great timewise!

Nice when it's not stressful.

Customs was a breeze, other than the customs agent calling me Goldilocks

Ahhh...:goodvibes

I also moved some money from savings just in case. This is the story of my life, even today I was moving our money all over the place to make things work out. Ugh.

Well, as along as the repo man isn't knocking on your door, you must be doing something right.

And thanks for posting that. There goes another week of sleep.

I got a Grand Marnier Slushie, my first! It was very good!

Wow, I thought you'd tried everything at this point!

Evidently barbecue is more popular with the Epcot crowd than Ethnic food.

Well...I mean, it's barbecue.
