The GH Official Thread Part 3

Previews for the week of 27-Jan-2014

by Carol Banks Weber

**Julian gets to Alexis as soon as he brings up his kids. She’s a tough nut to crack.

Sonny and Olivia engage in pillow talk, about Morgan and his recent betrayal. They go over strategy. She serves as his sounding board, and maybe a softening influence.

You could knock Ava down with a feather with this latest bit of scuttlebutt.
Julian gives Morgan a heads-up, mob style.
Ava arms Morgan with a piece, to fend off a Sonny attack.
Julian harangues Ava for the truth about Nina, Silas’ wife (who may or may not be dead).
Ava and Julian go from allies to faithless backstabbers in a hurry.
Julian goes behind Ava’s back to find out more about her dalliance with Silas, and this wife Nina.
Julian rats Duke out to Anna, who is chapped beyond belief.

When Anna confronts Duke with this new revelation, he tries to do damage control by confidently asserting that he’s got this.
Anna renders Duke nearly speechless with what she’s gleaned.
Robert Scorpio’s still here, long enough to listen to Anna vent emotionally about Duke.
Robert’s there to counter that, yes, Duke sucks for not telling Anna this secret, but she has one too, a bigger one.
But not for long. Robert must exit, stage left, in order for his portrayer to be Jill’s love slave on Y&R. Scorpio makes the rounds.

Sonny puts Morgan in a bind with a no-win choice to make.

Something’s wrong. Tracy asks Anna to officially step in and locate Luke, whom she worries was taken from her violently.

Heather manipulates Emma, Cameron, and Spencer so they can be her unsuspecting henchkids.
Heather proves not so invincible when Carly spies an opening.

Kiki visits the Miscavige Institute and runs into a spot of trouble. She’s there to investigate further.

Franco can’t shake the feeling that someone’s out to get him, via this Carly murder case.

Victor Cassadine makes his appearance after many years of absence. He has something huge to say. Stunning this.

Kevin has a new patient named Tina Estrada who isn’t very patient when her therapist stands her up for a session. Grey’s Anatomy star Chandra Wilson makes a guest appearance as Kevin’s intriguing patient, with an option for returns.
Kevin’s patient Tina Estrada goes to what should’ve been a therapy session. But it turns into quite another matter. Who the heck is this male nurse and why’s he hanging out in her therapist’s office? She confronts the guy.

Elizabeth exhorts Sabrina to be honest, now. This cover won’t do.

Cops take Silas away in cuffs, which dismays Rafe.

T.J. makes Rafe feel badly about his damaged family (a psycho dead dad and a criminal uncle).
Rafe explodes at T.J. in response and in defense.
Sam tries to use Dante to muzzle Nathan.
Dante takes some care to elaborate on his estrangement from Lulu with Sam.
Dante and Nathan make Lulu the topic of their last coffee klatch.
Lulu divulges to a complete stranger (Nathan) the details of her marriage, specifically that she’s no longer interested in a marriage with Dante.
Lulu and Nathan swap war stories about their sorry love lives.
Dante has cause to believe he and Lulu will make up, following a promising run-in.
Silas knows he’s being misrepresented by someone who’s after him for some reason.

Mac lets Scott have it. He better pay attention.
Lucy prevails on Felicia to keep her mouth shut about the Scotty affair. But it’s hard for Felicia to do.

Next week: A.J. surfaces, to receive a boost from Michael… Kiki goes directly to jail… Franco makes an attempt to flee… Victor Cassadine hits up Robin for a big assist… A person testifies to authorities about what he/she knows about a specific case… Britt can’t seem to find her baby Ben’s brush. Poof! It’s gone. But where? And who?... Olivia’s premonitions return. This one features Heather. But this one has Olivia questioning the validity of her reality… Movie star Shirley Jones appears as Mrs. McClain, a key witness to a key case who comes forward with the name of the gravedigger she saw… Alexis and Sam do a full-court press on Nathan and his so-called solid evidence… Sabrina comes to a final conclusion.

When Kimberly McCullough (Robin) exits GH, fans may actually want her to go after her character pulls such a dramatic, selfish stunt. Robin may learn of Sabrina’s pregnancy truth, then purposely refuse to let Patrick in on it. Dr. O causes a GH lockdown, and that’s when Patrick finds out about some of Robin’s shenanigans, which perturb him. This is when Robin’s post-trauma will come out, including “putting Emma at risk,” forcing Patrick to “commit Robin.” After realizing Patrick has never stopped love Sabrina, Robin will bail to be with her father. –Daytime Dish, January 20, 2014

Jason Morgan returns in the form of a recast. Let the speculation begin. :rolleyes2

Michelle Stafford (ex-Phyllis, Y&R) may turn up as Nina, which is ironic considering her last soap character was just in a coma.

I would love for Jason to come back, but I don't want him back if Steve Burton does not portray the character. :sad2::sad2:

Darn-when you said that "Jason Morgan comes back as a recast", I completely misread it. For some dumb reason, I thought Steve Burton was coming back as someone else. Duh! Excited there for a minute. So Ben's brush is missing-gee, I wonder why?

So Patrick will get back with Sabrina and they'll be a happy little family again. Patrick will be thinking he'll be a dad again but my guess is we will find out that Sabrina and Carlos really did sleep together but of course Sabrina won't remember so in the end, it will be one more time Patrick thinks he'll be a dad again only to find out the baby isn't his but is Carlos'. I really hate these baby story lines (who is the real dad/baby switching).

I really don't like Robin having to be committed. I almost wish she never came back.

:scratchin I''ve always thought the writers wrote Robin as a real whiner, and frankly won't be sorry to see her go. A real "Debbie Downer". I FF through any of her screen time.

This having Obright (or what ever her names is) as Chief of Staff is just beyond stupidity. :sad2: Sadly, this program can be viewed in all of 10-15 minutes tops via DVR. Its really become just a whole lot of repetitive nonsense. :crazy2:

I did enjoy seeing Julian all beat up. Make up was nicely done..:rotfl2:

Additionally, where exactly does Anna get off having this sanctimonious attitude. Seriously, didn't she "do away with" Faison for good? She ought to cut Duke some slack. She treats him like he's her child and not her husband.

He's not her husband right now and seriously, if she continues this he may not ever be again. Cannot abide holier than thou people!

**Victor wants something from Robin. But she’s uncertain about him. Nevertheless, she enters into a devil’s bargain.
Victor envisions a triumphant victory for the Cassadine legacy.

Carlos and Julian have a powwow to go over strategy, and the next move.
Julian feels incredible discouragement and disappointment with Lucas. Oh no, not homophobia.

Elizabeth butts in, on a suspicion. She has Felix run a DNA test on Dante and Ben, STAT.

Franco admits to Kiki that he stabbed Heather to death, he thinks. But wait!
Franco makes a run for it, out of prison confines and back to the gravesite, with Nathan and Dante in hot pursuit.
Olivia grimaces as she experiences another psychic phenomenon: a Heather sighting.
Olivia tries to get Dante to reassure her that Heather’s still safe and unsound at that asylum.
Shirley Jones guest-stars as a widow, Mrs. McClain, who happens to be at the cemetery just as she spies someone digging up a gravesite. As a witness, she runs straight to the cops with what she knows, including an identity.
Heather still has Carly in her grips, moved to the Catacombs. But something goes wrong. Here’s Carly’s chance!
A rumble between Heather and Carly could mean curtains for one or both of them. Literally.
The Catacombs collapses in on itself, trapping Heather and Carly inside.

Morgan and Ava cannot stay away from each other.

Next week: The denizens of Port Charles will celebrate Valentine’s Day most of this week, including Dante and Lulu, and Felix and – Lucas/Brad?... Nikolas takes Britt on a special, mysterious Valentine’s Day excursion. This has Britt wonderfully inquisitive… Spencer gifts Emma with a special Valentine’s… Spencer gives Britt a Valentine, making her smile… Britt knows she must relieve herself of all of her secrets, or else she’ll lose Nikolas… Elizabeth wants Nikolas back. She may go about it by outing Britt’s secret… Elizabeth cools her jets as the DNA test percolates… Is Nikolas about to propose to Britt and break Elizabeth’s heart? Not yet, Nik!... Valentine’s Day week isn’t so wonderful for a bickering Michael and Kiki. Ouch!... Duke tries to win Anna back. He may succeed. Batten the hatches! Loins will explode upon impact!... Molly might give it up for T.J., over a study date. But first, Molly insists on creating a romantic atmosphere… Ava and Morgan sneak away together, her ignoring Sonny’s earlier admonition to watch herself… Elizabeth scares Britt out of her Nikolas reverie with a vow to get to the bottom of this… Patrick figures out that Sabrina’s pregnant with his baby, not Carlos’s, just as she decides to fly away with Carlos back to Puerto Rico… Franco gets Scott on his side in the hunt for Carly… Franco makes it to the Catacombs as it crumbles to the ground. With no regard for his own life, he plunges in there, knocking himself nearly senseless, to reach Carly… Carly and Franco get their time, right on time. Valentine’s Day… A.J. begins to remember more of what happened when he thought he shot Connie down. He uses a dead Connie for clues to save his name… Ava’s underhanded means take Julian by surprise, pleasantly so… Sam is plagued with doubts about Silas now. There’s more to this guy than meets the eye… Silas and Sam pursue the lead pointing to Ava as Nina’s attempted killer… Felix and Brad’s evening runs into a spot of – change… Sam and Alexis doubt Nathan’s on the level about his investigation. They make a big deal of this… Sonny might ask Olivia to be his one and only, as in, wedding bells… Julian Jerome may turn out to be more uptight about a gay Lucas than anything else.

Rick Hearst (Ric) returns to take back up with Alexis. And since GH prefers aiming high for supercouple status only, that could leave William deVry (Julian) out, according to CrimsonNCream at Daytime Dish, January 24. Don’t shoot the messenger. This is the actual DD-generated rumor: “Ric is for Ric/Alexis. William DeVry probably doesn't know it yet but Julian is not long for this world. Julian to prove himself to Sam, Lucas & Alexis finally agrees to have his stem cells banked for Danny and then is murdered the next day. I'm actually kind of shocked that Frank gave Nancy a voice in this but Rick Hearst is back because when asked by Frank who she wanted to work with if they weren't pairing Julian/Alexis, NLG said Rick.”

It was one of the saddest (and most unnecessary) exits in soap history. Watching the great Robert Scorpio say goodbye to Anna, Robin, and Emma made many fans hate Y&R’s Jill Farren Phelps all the more for stealing him away, as rumored. And for what? So Jill Abbott can have a roll in the hay with her inconsequential music box inheritance? Just as Robert leaves to help for the stupidest reason in the world — if, that is, this isn’t a brilliant cover — in comes Victor Cassadine as the new director of the WSB. Prime reason for Robert to stay. How about TPTB kill off the tired mob, and focus on Robert, Anna, Luke, Holly, and Frisco kicking some WSB ***? You know, the reason GH was good in the first place. Could you imagine if Elizabeth and Nikolas joined in on the ***-kicking spy business? Ratings gold!

If Elizabeth Webber is such a goldmine of a legacy character, and she is, why is she still relegated to the role of a side character, an interloper, supercouple foil? When will she finally get a story of her own, instead of these teasing crumbs? Maybe the recent appearance of portrayer Rebecca Herbst and Tyler Christopher (Nikolas) on Access Hollywood hinting at more could be her big break back into the lead.

In the interest of the adorable children’s triangle with Cameron/Emma/Spencer, I’m willing to suspend my disbelief and cool my jets on Heather running rampant for weeks on end. Up to a point. I’m sensing this is Cartini’s way of forcing audiences to empathize with her as more dimensional than a cardboard villain. But if they’re not careful, they’re going to push Heather, and the more than capable actress Robin Mattson, into overplayed territory. Carly gets free next week, thank the lord.

Executive producer Frank Valentini teased that almost every day viewers will get clues about Faison. Seeing as nobody really dies on this show, or any soap opera for that matter, my bet’s on him surviving Anna and Robert, in hiding somewhere and in cahoots with head honcho Helena.

This show is such a snoozefest these days. The scene where Mac shows up and Victor Cassidine and his henchman (are they they same as Heather's henchmen from Miscaivage? They could have been and I wouldn't have noticed) just hide in the hallway was ridiculous. Honestly, are they really going to send Robin away in basically the same way she was gone before? She'll be off in a lab trying to unfreeze people? Please.

And for a island/house belonging to a prince, Windermere sure has a lack of security. First Faison et al were just hiding out in 500 different locales with Duke as a hostage. Now Heather has been trotting Carly all over the island. Doesn't Nik have a security camera of some sort? Geez.

The Felix/Brad/Lucas storyline is the most boring on TV. Lucas is sleazy (like Brad before Felix) and none of them have any chemistry. Yawn.

The Felix/Brad/Lucas storyline is the most boring on TV. Lucas is sleazy (like Brad before Felix) and none of them have any chemistry. Yawn.

OMG, so true, I wa about to post virtually the same thing!! I cannot stand Lucas, he skeeves me out the way he comes at Brad, it's like bad porn to watch him. I feel the need for a bath.

I agree. Lucas is gross. He asks Brad how his date with Felix went and then says, "I hoped you washed the sheets." Was that really necessary? I guess we're supposed to be rooting for Brad and Felix to get together since Brad has liked him for so long and tried to become a better person for him. But then we see Brad having a fling with Lucas, and then agreeing to have a drink with him when Felix cancels. For a guy who has been pining away for so long and finally has a chance with Felix, he sure is blowing it. I love Felix. He's too good for Brad!

Will someone please turn Spencer over their knee. He's a spoiled brat! Nikolas would not raise such a punk and neither would Leslie. I usually don't pick sides in puppy love romances, but I want Emma to pick Cameron! Lol.

I haven't seen GH in a couple of days (I record it), but the picture of Jason was of Steve Burton, not a new actor. Does that maybe suggest that Steve Burton might be returning to the role?

And can we wrap up this Brit's baby and Carly/Heather business? As fast as they've been moving with storylines in the last year or so they're suddenly dragging these out forever!

I just realized that Lucas is the old Carly! Self-centered, ****ty, crass and schemey!

I can see the story being that he had to have facial reconstructive surgery or something and that's why he doesn't look like the "old" Jason. It will take all I have to like another actor in the roll as Jason!!

I read that Steve Burton is definitely not coming back as Jason. I think they had to use his picture for the shock value and for the reveal to make sense. If they showed us a picture of some new actor, we wouldn't have known it was Jason and Robin's reaction wouldn't have made sense. With the way they drag things out, they probably won't have a need to show Jason for months and likely haven't even cast the role yet.
