The Adventure of the Flatties has Begun!!!

I have flattie pictures to post too. I just arrived home last night and I haven't had time to get my pictures off my camera and onto my computer. I promise to get my flattie pictures into photobucket soon.

Looks like AskTracy in the background has had her share of mimosas already.

With the risk of being put on the Bad List, she looked like that at DATW also.

I thought that too - but Ididn't want to be the one to say it!!

What was the drama at the Jet Blue terminal? Did I forget my ticket

The drama was that they put us on a plane that they knew had some kind of "technical difficulties" - and 10 minutes after takeoff the pilot came on to tell us that engine #2 was not functioning and we had to land... complete w/rescue trucks and PA police waiting for us on the runway. We had to wait 3 hours for another plane and were delayed a total of 5 hours. Good times, good times.... Oh, and they did compensate us for that - a whopping $50 credit each.

We had exit seats to give us a little more room, but then people seemed to want to stand there and look out the window

Sat 9th

After some much needed rest, we headed on to see Art at the Beach Club, a dear ol' friend of ours.

The flatties didn't eat through the flight as they don't like plane food, so it was time for some lunch at the Captain's Grille.

In the evening we headed to the Polynesian for the beach meet.

Sun 10th - First day of the cruise!!!

We hopped onto the first bus from the Dolphin to the port. Note the VIP status, as we were carrying flatties on board

After some lunch at Parroy Kay we checked into our room - 6087.
Time for some well earnt rest. There's plenty of room in these staterooms, so no problem finding a place for the flatties.

Monday 11th - Nassau

We decided to stay on the ship as we didn't really fancy going to Nassau. Turns out this was good news for the flatties. A local woman eating chicken on the side of the road, here on to be referred to as 'chicken bone woman', may have asked to braid their hair! Just ask Alicia...

After chilling for a bit, the flatties indudlged in some wine tasting late afternoon. Note they are still standing, which is pretty impressive given their size to wine ratio. Now that's staying power

Later that evening we all had dinner together at Parrot Kay.
