Well, here are several more pictures of Sylvia that her SO, Dan, emailed
me this evening. They are all from the time Sylvia was ill, battling her
breast cancer and again help us better know this special lady.

I had a real nice, phone conversation with Dan this evening
also. I think it was quite comforting for both of us. We talked
about Sylvia, good times and bad times. It was therapeutic. Nick is
with his dad, Brad, who lives in the same city as Sylvia and Dan. Dan is
good friends with Brad and Nick is doing fine.

These are from the time Sylvia was sick, but you can always see her
smile. She ALWAYS smiled, ALWAYS.
Dan said that an additional benefit of these pictures might be that they may help others deal with their own or others who are fighting cancer, in seeing how Slyvia so graciously accepted her illness, and continued to smile. Thanks, Dan.

This was taken on Sylvia's last birthday, this past January, just 5 months
ago.

Ah, time to eat and share with friends. Pass the turkey,
please. This was from Christmas, 2000. Left to right, Dan's step mom,
Marie, a friend from Hamilton, Dan's brother, Mark, his fiancée, Melody, Dan,
Sylvia. (Sylvia was wearing a wig here)

Taken at the same time as picture on the other thread I put up. This
was just shortly after Sylvia's first chemo treatments in '98 and the first time
of her hair loss.

Taken about 1 year after diagnosis with Dan. Sylvia looks like she is
happy to have the worst behind her at that time.

Same as the above picture. When Sylvia was going to lose her hair,
she had Dan 'buzz' it off ahead of time. She went out later that day, and
when she returned, Dan had done the same to his hair, a symbol of his rock-solid
support.

This is Christmas of '98, with Nick. Sylvia felt comfortable with
her baldness, a necessary side effect of getting well she said.

What a strong lady!!!! Anyone see a frown? Always
smiling, that was Sylvia.
