I came home yesterday after three days in the parks. Overall I wasn't expecting much.
I was surprised at the number Ride break downs. I was in line for Big Thunder Tuesday when it went down. Break-downs were all over the place. At least at DL I can find other things to do to fill the time.
Wednesday morning my reservation was for DCA.
WHAT A MESS! Seems like there were more rides closed than open. Which made those open to have huge lines. What I learned from this, was to NEVER start my day at DCA.
When there are so many rides down there is not much else to do. And with hopping not allowed until 1pm it was a horrible morning. What a waste of time!
I experienced the break-downs of ROTR on Monday.... Mid-day's break-down I chose to stay in the line. But Disney later decided to evacuate and close the line but gave LL passes for later. Which I did use around 6:30pm that evening. Only to have the ride totally go down while in the second room I think it's the transporter room. We waited about 10 min for the CM's to come and escort everyone out... Except me, I was on a
scooter and there is about a 8-10inch flooring difference. I had to wait about another 30 to 40 minutes for the firefighters to come and place a ramp for the scooter. In the end all was fine when I rode on Tuesday.
I have been going to Disney since day one in 1955.
I will skip getting my Magic Key and hold off on any trips in the near future.
When I hear there have been favorable changes then I'll see about booking a return trip and getting a Magic Key.
For now I will be spending my $Disney Bucks$ other ways.
