Hello, We saw the 5:30 show on Friday 7/7 with Premium Reserved seating.
We had Early Entry as a DLR hotel guest, I went over to purchase at 7:58 after riding a few Attractions.
My DH and DS were not originally with me and the CM in charge stated that your entire party must be present to attach the wristbands. Luckily, they were exiting GOTG and hustled over. She allowed me to purchase for the show time I wanted (5:30) and wait close by for the 2-3 minutes it took DH and DS to make it over. They also attached the wristbands very tightly....not sure if they have been having issues with reselling of wristbands or something, but they were very strict about the wristband situation.
At 8:00am at Park Entry the line was walked over from Rope Drop and seemed to be around 50 people. The CM I was visiting with said the Reserved Seating was selling out within the 1st hour.
We returned to the "hang out" lounge area at 4:15. The area was already full of people, all the couches and loungers were taken. That area gets very hot with the afternoon sun. In my opinion, many more umbrellas would be helpful. We ended up sitting on the curb in the shade near the Monsters queue. Having a PhotoPass photographer and special themed background was great.
The drink choices were Sprite, Diet Coke, Coke and water (in 20 oz bottles). The popcorn was a fruity candied flavor. Each person receives a Rogers themed bucket and a sealed bag of popcorn. We would have preferred the original Disney savory popcorn and only took one of the buckets. YMMV.
We sat in the Orchestra section about 10 rows back. Really enjoyed the show, the singing and dancing was very very good. My teenage DS even enjoyed it. It's not something we would personally see multiple days in a row but definitely would see on every trip, if that makes sense. We REALLY liked the Aladdin show from years' past so that is what we tend to compare to
Thanks to everyone on the Boards here for posting their experience. I would not have known about this without your sharing!
