Before I get into this update, I have a little RL news: I started a blog!

    Pixie Dust-2.png

Pixiedustandorangecrush.wordpress.com is going to be a hodge podge of college life, nerdiness, and Disney-related content. I hope you’ll join me on this new adventure!

    Anyways, on with this TR!

It's George and Martha Washington's Wedding!
    Day 3

    Our Plans:
    7DMT 12:40-1:40pm
    Be Our Guest 1:30pm
    Splash 3:30-4:30pm
    BTMRR 4:55-5:55pm

On this our third park day, my alarm went off at 6am. We got up and ready, and we were out the door at 7:05. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself. We made a quick stop at the food court to fill up our mugs and then were off to the busses! There was a MK bus pulling up as we walked outside, so we hopped right on! About 20 minutes later we were in line at the touch stiles. We were surprised when they let us into the park around 7:45. When we got inside the park, it was pretty obvious that something unusual was happening. There was a huge section of the hub that was roped off, there were camera crews and a stage, and…Cinderella’s footmen? It was all very strange, and we couldn’t figure out what exactly was going on. It looked like it might’ve been a wedding but we just weren’t sure.

Kelsey said that it was George Washington’s wedding (because the footman looked like George Washington). :rotfl2:We were laughing pretty hard about that. We finally heard a CM tell someone else that it WAS a wedding for a couple that had won a giveaway from Good Morning America. So we were there when they got married live on TV! It was really cool, but also kind of strange that they were letting guests into the park so early with all of that going on.:confused3

Anyways…we took some PP pics around the castle.

    You guys are too cute!

Looks like you had a great trip so far. Lunch at Beaches and Cream sounded delish. One day we will get there!

Our next stop was one that I was very excited for…
the Purple Wall! We took a TON of pictures, and it was so fun! I imagine we probably looked pretty ridiculous trying to get all the different angles and things, but we had a great time!

It was so good but so incredibly sweet. I honestly felt a little sick after because I hadn’t had enough water to balance out the sugar.

Love the picture of you two sitting in the ground facing the castle
And I absolutely love the tiara/monogram shirt, where did you get it if you don't mind my asking?

I keep forgetting I want to try the Chesire Cat Tail and I go right for the ginormous cinnamon roll at Gaston's instead  Have to remember the Tail next month!

Looks like you and your cousin were having a great Disney trip. My son and his cousin are only 9 months apart and my daughter and her cousin only 6 months, so I really hope they are as close as you two are and want to take Disney trips together when they're older.
Glad you guys found some rose gold ears! They added an extra touch of magic to your purple wall photos.

Beaches and Cream Ice cream is the best. Smart thinking taking the bus to the Boardwalk and walking over to the resort.

    Thank you so much!

We really liked it, but I definitely should have eaten something else to balance out the sugar.

That's hilarious because I don't really feel like I've written all that much lately!

It really was a great day, and I definitely patted myself on the back a little bit with the planning.

Thanks! I got that tank from an Etsy shop called KrazyHeartStudios.

It was delicious, just very sweet!

    Welcome aboard!

We have always been close, and I hope your kids have those relationships as well. There's really nothing quite like it. :goodvibes

Thank you so much! I loved how they turned out!

Thanks! It was such a great trip! :flower1:

It's George and Martha Washington's Wedding!
    Day 3, Part 3

After our breakfast of champions ;), we made our way to Haunted Mansion, which had a 20 minute standby wait time.

We went to IaSW next, which was posted at 15 minutes, but I think we only waited about 5 or so.

It was around 11:20 when we walked into Mickey’s Philharmagic. We actually ended up waiting for a while because they were having some sort of technical difficulty. Our next stop was the Hall of Presidents right around noon.

I hadn’t seen it since the refurb, and I was pretty impressed with what they’ve done with it. Kelsey and I both felt like there were some generalizations and glossing-over with some of the history, but all in all it was good!

By the time we got out of the Hall of Presidents, it was almost time for our 12:40 FP for 7DMT. We made a quick bathroom stop before heading over to use our FPs!

We were in and out of the ride so quickly that we still had a good chunk of time before our lunch ADR, so we headed over to Under the Sea and jumped in the standby line. It was posted at 15 minutes, but I think we only waited about 10 or so. After our ride, we headed over to BOG! We tried to check in but were told we were too early, so we decided to take some PP pics.

Then, we were off to Dumbo! It had a 25 minute posted wait time, but so did everything else. I don’t think we actually waited that long, either.

After our flight, we decided to head over to the Country Bear Jamboree. The next show wasn’t for a while, so we just sat in the AC and watched FoF go by. Then, we went into the theater and were two of maybe eight people in the show. There were at least three empty rows in front of and behind us, and these two women STILL came in and sat directly next to us. I mean, they were practically on top of Kelsey. All that empty space, and they had to sit right there…smh.

After Country Bears, we checked wait times and decided to head over to BTMRR. The stand-by was posted at 25 minutes, so we hopped in line. After a while, we really hadn’t moved…like at all. A bunch of people in front of us started getting out of line, and we were beginning to question whether or not we should. I pulled up the app, and it said the wait time was now posted at
over 2 hours! We figured that it must have changed as soon as we got in line. Since we’d been waiting for over half an hour and weren’t anywhere close to getting on the ride, we decided to bail, so that we wouldn’t miss our upcoming FP.

We made our way over to Splash to use our FP….or not. The FP line was backed up outside the queue, wrapped around a couple of time and back up the stairs. After we stood there looking for a minute, it became pretty obvious that this wasn’t a MB scanning related back up. For whatever reason, the FP line really was just THAT long. We found a spot on the curb and sat down for a minute. We checked other available FP windows and decided to change our Splash FP to 8:25pm.

We started walking back towards Adventureland, checking wait times as we went. There were people EVERYWHERE. It was absolutely insane! Absolutely everything had at least a 50 minute wait. Even Mickey’s Philharmagic was posted at 35 minutes! It was really overwhelming to be surrounded by that many people and not really know what to do next. We ultimately decided that it was more stressful than fun at that point, so we made our way back to the front of the park.

We rearranged our plans a little bit and decided to head over to Disney Springs. We saw a SSR bus pull up at the next bus stop over, so we hopped on that rather than wait for who knows how long for a DS bus. We got off the bus at the stop nearest to the DS walkway, but the sign said a DS bus was coming in like 5 minutes, so we decided to wait for it.

When we arrived in Disney Springs, it was right around 5:30. We wandered through Anthropologie, Kiehls, World of Disney, and the Pin Store, each buying a few souvenirs along the way. Around 7 or so, we walked allll the way to bus stop 29, both of us moaning that our feet were going to fall off. It was around 7:20 or so when we were getting on an AoA bus.

We walked back to our room to drop off our bags and grab our mugs before going to Landscape of Flavors for dinner. We both decided we wanted pizza for dinner, so we hopped in line.

After we ate, we headed over to the front desk to pay the balance on our room charges. We made a quick stop in the gift shop before heading back into the food court to get a couple of Mickey Bars to-go.

We made our way back to the room, ate our ice cream, and got ready for bed. It was around 10:30 or so when we finally crashed.

I'm sorry for the lack of pictures in this update! It was a very strange afternoon. On another note, here's the second trip video (days 2 & 3) if anyone is interested!

I remember posing with them and mimicking the faces when I was a kid!

Thanks! I got it from a shop on Etsy called KrazyHeartStudios.

Not a bad idea at all! The cupcakes are so good!

    Thanks! :D

Thanks. I was thinking they would be cute to get for me and the girls for the next trip.

I feel like there has been a lot of people with stories of a very crowded Magic Kingdom. They are going to need to expand badly soon. There is just not enough room for everyone and everyone wants to be in the Magic Kingdom...

Don't worry. Once the new thing opens in Studios, everyone will want to be there.
