Official 2013 MVMCP Information

Forgive me if this has already been mentioned, but I didn't read through all 35 pages, lol! Are the holiday parade and fireworks ONLY at the party? We're spoiled with Disneyland where our Christmas parade and fireworks are still just regular holiday happenings (no party yet). I'm thinking they are specific to the party, but just want to make sure. Thanks!

The Parade and fireworks are specific to the party until the parties end December 20th. From the 21st through the 31st, the Christmas Parade is at 12:30 and 3:30 and the fireworks are in the evening during regular park hours.

Now, if I am related to them but we don't live together, do we still only get one photo? How do they decide - if you are related to someone you are with you have to be together in the photo and only one photo between the two(or more) of you?

I think the "one photo per family" thing basically means one per group that goes up to meet the Dwarves together. If you wanted a separate photo, you should just consider yourselves separate groups in line, and go up separately.

My husband and I traveled with our two kids, plus a friend and her son. Although we were together as a group of six for the most part, whenever we were asked how many in our group for something specific like that, our friend would say she had two, and I'd say I had four in my group.

I think that would only be okay for groups with additional adults though. If you're a family with kids, you can't get separate photos with just the kids, AND then one with just the adults, or one with each kid, etc.

is the parade, fireworks & visual show different in mvmcp than in regular days? Is it worth going to both?

The parade and fireworks are specific to the party until December 20. Then Christmas parade runs daily at 12:30 and 3:30 (Dec. 21 - Jan. 4).

How bad typically is disney transportation after MVMCP? Would it be wise to just drive our car?

Was wondering the same thing.

We will more than likely take the bus to MK since we'll be visiting all the deluxe resorts that day. We stay at BWV so I think the bus stops at Beach Club and Yacht Club as well

We usually stay at BLT, but last year we stayed at BCV and the transportation after the party was not fun. We waited at MK for almost 45 mins before we were able to get on a bus. The whole queue was packed. We ended up getting standing room only and we were squeezed in there very tight. By the time we finally arrived at BCV, it was 1:45. (we left the party at 12:15).

This year we plan on staying inside the MK until at least 12:30/12:45 and possibly taking a taxi from BLT if the bus crowds are long.

January 1st - 4th, Celebrate a Dream Come True parade has its encore/finale performances before it ends/closes. MOUCParade is scheduled to end on December 31st this year due to the closing of CDCT.

I saw that on another thread and realized I gave the wrong info. Thanks for clearing it up!

There have been countless buses after the parties we have attended, both Halloween and Christmas. If you drive, you would need to park at TTC and catch the boat or monorail first. Yours only other option would be ti valet par at The Contemporary. I believe it's $15 not including tip. Valet is open 24/7 so you could walk to the Contemporary after the party.

We were at the Christmas Party again tonight. It wasn't a sold out night. We entered the park at 4:45pm. The line to get wristbands was 10 minutes. Once we entered the park, they were doing the Limited Time Magic Vetrens Day Salute. We didn't stop, it was very busy and we had a Crystal Palace reservation. People were already lining by for Santa when we walked past at 5pm. *4 families were already in line.*

People were already getting spots for the 8:15pm parade along Main St and the Hub. Crystal Palace was running 10-15 minutes behind so we finally got inside at about 5:35pm. The restaurant was fairly full but we were out by 6:30pm. We didn't want to line up for any of the priority characters so we headed down Main St, took some photos and waited for 7pm when it started to snow.*

We snapped some more photos, and then headed into Tomorrowland. Pluto was at the dance party at Cosmic Rays along with about 20-30 people. Phineas and Ferb weren't out yet as Carousel of Progress was closed as they were filming a movie inside. We stopped by Mickey Star Traders. CM's were checking at the doors if you had a wristband. If you didn't, you weren't allowed inside. The Mickey & Minnie MVMVP pin and the Chip & Dale pin has sold out. *Donald and the Toy Soldier pins are still available. The Grumpy PassHolder pin is still available.*

We left Tomorrowland and went back into the Hub. We caught the 7:45pm Celebrate the Season show. We got a front row spot on the side at 7:35pm. Main St was packed with people waiting for the parade. *

We watching the show and then headed into Fantasyland via Tomorrowland. Santa Goofy and Pluto were at the dance party but we didn't spot. We got in line for the Hundred Acre Wood Gang at 8:10pm and we were first in line. Within 10 minutes, there were 20 families in line. Their line was cut before they arrived for their set at 8:30pm. We had waited 20 minutes by the time they arrive and it was worth it, especially being first in line.*

We left there by 8:40pm and headed toward the Carousel. Minnie had a 15-20 minute wait. Rapunzel & Snow White had a 45 minute wait, Cinderella and Aurora had a 25 minute wait. We waited for neither, we went to Pinnochios for a Cocoa and Cookie stop. We then got in line for Peter Pan and Wendy, who were meeting near their ride (across from the Rapunzel restrooms) We were fourth in line and waited 10 minutes to meet them. We arrived just before they did and their line was 15 minutes by the time we left.*

We walked back to the Carousel to watch Holiday Wishes. Mary Poppins, Bert and the Penguins were meeting and their line was cut 10 minutes into their meet and greet. We were told they would be back by 10pm but we didn't line up (we met them on Friday)*

We watching Holiday Wishes and in the middle of the fireworks, Captain Hook and Smee walked past. They were meeting where Peter Pan and Wendy had met earlier. *After the fireworks, Rapunzel side had a 35 min wait, Cinderella still had a 25 min wait so we skipped them and went to see Hook and Smee. We waited 10 minutes to see them and got in just before their line was cut. According to the attendant, Hook and Smee meet just before and during the Parade while Wendy and Peter Pan are in the parade.*

We stopped into Columbia Harbour House for a cocoa and cookie stop and got a spot for the parade in Frontierland. We lined up by 10:00pm and got a front row spot near Hall of Presidents.*

Straight after the parade, we got in line for Tiana and Naveen. We were first in line and their set started at 11pm. We waited 10 minutes as Tiana and Naveen were running a little late.*

Tink and Periwinkle were showing a 35 minute wait but attendant aid it was more like 15 minutes. The Faeries were on a break so we skipped them.*We went to check out Prince Ali and Abu but they were leaving and wouldn't be back, we had already met Genie and Jasmine so we skipped them.*

The Country Bears line was cut for their last meet for the night so we headed across the Hub, paused to watch some of the show and noticed NO ONE was at the PhotoPass spots since the show was on. We did 3 photo pass spots in 5-10 minutes. Once the show was over, they were 20 families in line for all the photographers again.*

We headed into Tomorrowland and Phineas and Ferb were out. We waited 5 minutes to meet them. Once we got out, the Tomorrowland Christmas show had just started so we sat down and watched that. It's a cute show and a must do if you love Stitch, Mike or Buzz. It started at 11:45pm and it goes 15 minutes so the park was closed by the time it ended.*

We headed out of the park, Main St was still fairly full. PhotoPass was still out as we were leaving (12:30am) All the stores were closed, the balloon sellers were still out but went in at 12:30am. The balloons are $12 for the Mickey Head inside the clear balloon (red or green for the party) or $15 for the light up balloon.*

The monorail was still running when we left at 12:45am. It wasn't that busy, neither was the boats to TTC. They had countless buses for all the resorts and people were still coming out of MK as we left.*

It was a great party, it wasn't sold out but didn't feel that much less crowded than the sold out party on Friday. We got some great characters and we found the best way to maximize the wait time was to arrive just before the characters arrive.*

FABULOUS post. thank you for all the info & for taking the time to write it all out! We are going on Sunday, so this is a great reference for us, as it is our first one!!

Oh, ok, that makes sense, lol! Thank you for answering! :santa:

You mentioned that a couple of the pins were sold out. Does that mean they are sold out for the rest of the year for those 2 pins or do they restock. Also do you know how many unique MVMCP pins are there this year?

Thanks.
