I believe it....Buzz Lightyear Fastpasses were already being distributed for the 7PM time by the time we reached the park at around 11am. This past Monday through Wednesday's crowds were huge compared to the weekend before. It was amazing to experience the difference!

Never got around to riding Buzz. Sounds like it would have been a long wait anyway.
It is definitely getting harder to guess which week will not be busy especially with the crowds changing up their past patterns. Best to just plan for the worst, hope for the best and make the best of whichever you end up with. If November was this bad I can only imagine how horrible it will be at Christmas and New Years! Couldn't get me near the park then!

I'm so sad to have to ask to be removed from the list. I got the diagnosis of breast cancer this week, and we are cancelling our 30th anniversary trip. Our family is devastated, I have doctors and tests to deal with. We were supposed to be leaving tomorrow. We thought it might be good to get away for a week and have fun, but it's going to be too hard with this hanging over us, and we need to get the ball rolling on my treatment asap. Pretty rotten timing all round, before Christmas too. Give your loved ones an extra hug today and remember you just don't know what tomorrow is going to bring you.

Oh dear! I am sorry you had to cancel your plans but even sadder to hear your news. I will be sending prayers your way.

We're back from our vacation. We had a great time. Quick notes: All four days we were there were crowded, even Thanksgiving Day and the day after. WOC is fantastic. We did the AG/WOC dinner, arrived to the meet up spot at 8pm and there was maybe 15 people in front of us. got a railing spot but the last 10 paces had had to hussel because I could here someone RUNNING up behind me trying to steel the spot I was headed for.

Murphy was a no show, but the show was still good as usual

Christmas fireworks were wonderful, but I seem to remember most of their firework shows lasting more than 10 min.

IASW holiday did have the peppermint smell and one other smell that I couldn't identify, I think it might have been cookies. HMH's gingerbread display was fantasic and did smell of gingerbread.

The only rides we didn't ride were the Storybook boats, Alice, and Peter pan. Those rids aren't worth a 60+ min wait IMO. I do like all three of these rides but was not about to wait that long in line with a almost 3 year old.

Doesn't vacation time go by fast?!!! So glad you enjoyed your trip! It was sure crowded but not so much as to keep one from having a fun time. We all like WOC too but did not make it to Fantasmic this trip. Like you we only had a few things we did not ride. I think all I missed were Buzz, Matterhorn and Gadget's Go Coaster.

I am looking forward to your TR Goofy_Mom and on your pp, it looks like u got everything done on your trip this week.

It is hard to come home and not be all tuckered out and sad. Maybe we will all snap out of it in a few weeks! Hope you find your opener!

I need to go to bed but I'm so excited to be leaving in the morning I just can't sleep! The car is fully packed, the kids' shoes, socks and blankies are by the front door ready to go. DH is sleeping so he can get us up at 4am to head to Anaheim! Well off to bed I go!

Apologies for not getting things updated around here in the last few days. We are back home and there is so much to do and I just really don't want to do anything! So much to do after getting home and with Christmas on the way. Plus we have a houseguest coming for a week. I can already tell that December is going to be a blur! I know November was!

It's raining this morning in not so sunny California so guess what I get to do today? I get to spend a couple hours at a Worldmark sales presentation, courtesy of DH, and then come in and do laundry. Not one of our best planned days. I do hope to salvage a bit of it this evening and make it to the park for a few hours of Disney magic.
Speaking of magic... we did WOC last night and it was indeed impressive! The wait was not all that bad, we had a good view where even DD could see and didn't encounter any squatters trying to move into our space.

I would agree with you regarding WOC. When we finally meandered over to DCA on Sunday (11/21) we checked for FPs after riding Soarin' and got them for the first show. Similarly, we meandered over to the viewing area after it had been open for a bit and found a nice spot right up against a railing so no one was directly in front of us. Enjoyed the show and stayed dry.

Tut Tut it looks like rain here this morning in California again! I'm a-okay with that but, doggone it, why does DD have to have a sore throat now of all times? Waiting to see how she feels when she wakes up. Never made it to the park yesterday and under the circumstances it looks like we may not make it today if she's not better.

Both DW and DS ended up with sore throats by the end of our trip, but they turned into full-blown colds by the time we were back home.

The weather was beautiful (no rain the whole time) and crowds were pretty light for this time of year. This morning (Monday) looks like it will be another beautiful day. Cool, but clear and sunny! Hopefully the light rain they're forcasting for Tuesday is nothing more than a sprinkle or two, but hey, bring it on...a rainy day at DLR is better than a sunny day at work!

I'd agree with the light crowds for Sunday, 11/21, but we experienced pouring rain for the first couple of hours. We hit DL around 7am for Magic Morning and were sporting ponchos for quite a while as it was really coming down.

Our trip was AMAZING the crowds were so light the longest ride we waited for was Toy Story Mania. Space Mountain was no more than a 20 minute wait most of the time rendering fast passes useless. It was so awesome. Hojo was great, the beds were so comfy and even though we got there at noon they allowed us to check in and gave us a room right away.

We similarly scored a room way early on Saturday, 11/20, when we checked in around noon. Hojo rocks!

I have NEVER seen it like this over Thanksgiving.
We are trying to get through the crowds. I still havent seen any LGMHs......and tonight were going to see WOC. Hopefully the crowds will loosen up.

Sunday, 11/21, was awesome as far as crowd level but it gradually built each day and we used FPs like mad on Wednesday, 11/24. There were times when you could barely move through the crowd.

We had a great time overall, but the weather was definitely not what we were expecting and the crowds were just crazy by the end of our visit. We did get to do everything we wanted and, as a result of the crowds, even did some things we hadn't planned to just because they were less busy attractions. Even with afternoon breaks every day, we only made it until midnight on our first night. We also saw Maura Tierney in line for TSMM on Wednesday...not the Stand By line, she had a CM escort through the single rider line.

I would love to go back, unfortunatly I don't think our fincances are going to let us until 1012. If I had to choose between next year and 1012, I would choose that later. Cars land will be open that year and mermaid will have been open for a year and hopefully the lines will have dyed down by then. Also TSMM lines will hopfully lessened by then too. If we play our cards right, we may even get AP's for me and the kiddos, too.
