MARCHing like Mulan - Exercise Challenge

Welcome to March.

I picked this title, because honestly I need to channel my inner Mulan. This is a character who - faced challenges, achieved goals, didn't give up, wasn't afraid to break a sweat and did it all pretty gracefully.

I don't know about you, but 2015 hasn't quite panned out the way I thought it would. Especially when it comes to exercise. But enough with the excuses. I'm ready to March into this month with purpose.

Who's with me??


Pick a goal of total minutes for the month and post it below. It can be anything you want. From 10 minutes to 2,000 and beyond. For March, 30 minutes a day is 930 minutes. Then continue to post throughout the month including what you've been up to for your exercise minutes along with your total so far for the month. I'll continue to update this post with everyone's progress.

When you achieve:

10% of your goal, your color will change to Blue
25% will bump you up to Orange
at 50%, we'll celebrate by turning you Purple
at 75%, you will become Mushu approved Maroon!!
In keeping with tradition, you be Red at 90% (cuz you're on fire!)
and you'll be Wish Green upon achieving your goal.

I'm in! Thanks hmack! I'm trying for 1000 minutes. My 2015 hasn't been going quite how expected. I'm hoping spring comes with in with a vengeance. :sunny:
 
I'm going to be more ambitious this month... lets go for 930 min!

I'm totally loving the title. Let's not forget that Mulan's training started out rough, but by the end, she was a kick-butt warrior!
 
I keep going for 45 minutes a day and so far haven't met my goal but maybe this is my month! I'm going for 45 min a day again so 1395

I'm in for 1000 minutes this month. I'm starting another cycle with my running group for a half marathon in May. That will help me stick to the schedule. :cool2:

I'm going for 930 minutes. Since I don't have anything major on my schedule this month and the weather has to start warming up (-21 this morning), I'll be able to reach this goal.
 
I've been waiting for March! Love the Mulan reference, it's my favorite Disney movie! It's been a while since I've been on the WISH site and boy do I need it! Gain back 30 pounds I'd really like to get rid of again!!

1,000 minutes for me this month, getting back into my Zumba and walking!
 


Going to aim for 1000 again, since I'm adding yoga to my routine which is a shorter video. Love the title :)

I think I'm going to go with 1000 again ... was going to try to up it, but I kinda fizzled off towards the end of February and I don't want to overdo it. Here's hoping I can exceed my goal!
 
GOOD MORNING!

Welcome to March. I don't know about you, but I love the start of a new month (especially one that gets me closer to spring!). There's so much promise in it for those of us who want to hit the reset button. For those of you who have been rocking 2015; I hope that you continue on strong.

Combined, so far, we have a total goal of 9,755 minutes. Which is pretty outstanding.

I'm loooking forward to a great month of channeling our inner Warrior, being supportive, getting a bit sweaty and have a blast!

GeneralAdmiralStrife - I checked out your Spark People page. I did Spark for a while, but I just looked at my page (mcanirlinh) and I haven't updated it since 2012. However, I've been thinking about reviving it lately.

Anyway, I wanted to wish you strenght and smooth miles in your April 10K. We're here to help support you every step of the way.

Anyone else got any events coming up?

I haven't made my goals for January or February, but the important think is I'm not giving up.

No events for me officially until the fall. Gives me lots of time to work on speed and strength. I'll go big this month and try for 1,500!
 
I'm in for March. Time to pick things up because I have a half in mid April, so put me down for 1200 minutes. Thanks for hosting hmack!
 
Going to join in as a first-timer!

I got a little lazy in Jan/Feb, so it's time to get going again and hopefully this will help me hold myself accountable.

I'll go for 1200 minutes.

Started off with an hour of cardio (jump rope and elliptical) at the gym today, so 60/1200.
 
went to the gym today and did 5 miles on the treadmill and a little bit of strength training. Feels like a good start to the month.
