March 12, 2011 Eastern Caribbean, Let's rock the Magic!

We will be rebooking on board, also (and naming our TA for double the OBC's!). We are doing the June 10, 2012 Dream 5-night double dip (with our first trip to WDW tagged on!!!) and either the 2012 Thanksgiving cruise on the Fantasy Eastern (going to San Juan instead of St. Martin) or the December 22, 2012 Fantasy Christmas Western itinerary (we should have that nailed down in the next few days!) Unless the Dream comes out with a goot Christmas/New Year's itinerary for 2012...
And you are right, Priscilla! We rebooked onboard for this cruise on our last night, and it absolutely helped me feel better about disembarking-knowing that I would sail again soon!

And now look at us! Just 18 days away!!! WAHOOO!!!:cool1::cool1:

We are booking the June 10, 2012 double dip too!!! WOW great minds think alike....;)

Can you tell me what you mean by double the onboard credit? What TA do you use and is this offered by them or DCL?

We booked this cruise on the March 2009 trip and then moved the date. We will probably do the same again but if we could get $400 on board credit instead of $200 that would be wonderful!

Thanks.

If you name a TA when you book while onboard, you will get DCL's OBC as well as the TA's OBC, which can be up to double the amount DCL offers. I use Korrine with Cruise Adventure Travel at Korrine@cruiseadventuretravel.com. She has been great to work with, and has offered the most OBCs of anyone I've seen. We didn't know any better when we booked this on onboard, but transferred my ressie to her back in November and she gave me an additional $225 in OBC for the transfer. She said it would have been about $400 if I had named her first. Anyway, it costs us nothing to use her, and it hasn't hindered my "control" of my reservation in any way (I've still been able to contact DCL and make changes if I needed to, or I've e-mailed her and she is able to make them for me). She is a cruise expert, and used to be a Disney CM. She loves working with DCL.
Anyway, enough of my 'sales pitch' for her. I am still just so thrilled that I found her! It is well worth it to me to have more OBCs and let someone else worry about contacting DCL if anything goes wrong or needs changing. :thumbsup2

Hi Teri

I sent your TA an email and I would like to let her know who referred her. Can you send me a PM with your last name so I can give it to her? Or you can send her an email and let her know you referred me?

Thanks.

Me too please. I am going to email her as I've been looking for a new TA. Thanks!

Hi Cheryl

The TA knew exactly who I was talking about without her last name. :rotfl: I mentioned the DIS boards, our cruise date for this year and her first name and she knew. :goodvibes

It would be nice if the TA sent her a little gift for the referrals.

So, here I was thinking I could get away with no snow between now and the cruise.
Well, we are now in the middle of a snowstorm, with more in the forecast (No snow in Seattle or Vancouver....yet)

Took a spill off my bike yesterday and now I am going to be cruising with a bruising! Hoping it disappears before swimsuit time!!:headache:

Happy packing everyone:yay:

What's fun about meeting on the first day is that we will see each other around the ship all week long... even if we don't make specific plans to do things together. I can tell you that I am one for late nights in the adult clubs for dancing... you'll find me there working off calories from dinner!!:woohoo:

Counting down!

Marcy

Me Too...My wife thinks im Crazy for "Chair Dancing" :scared1::scared1:

Hadn't really thought about booking on board. We always like to do different things/places every year on our vacation rather than doing the same stuff over and over again. So much to do...so little vacation time in a year. :sad2:

Now...keep in mind that we're DCL rookies, so this cruise experience might change all that. :rotfl2:

We're already planning a trip to California (including of course Disneyland) :yay: for 2012, so the earliest we'd cruise again is 2013.

Two weeks from tonight, we leave home!:banana: Hope the weather cooperates. It's a long drive. DDs have lots of movies to watch and video games to play so they'll be entertained. They don't believe me when I tell them that we used to entertain ourselves by counting different coloured cars and other province/state license plates when we were kids.

I think it would be great for all the kids to meet with us at the Promenade lounge at 3pm.... I could see them making plans to meet at the ice cream station, teen club, etc as soon as the muster drill is over.:hippie:

The sail away party is pretty fun with kids too... at least if they are interested in participating in the dancing and arm waving. :yay:

I am planning on heading to the bow of the ship for sail away to see if the dolphins escort us out....I've heard about this but never tried to see it.

Priscilla and I will be in Rockin bar D closing it down every night:cool1::cool1: The one thing that I do miss on my Carnival ships is the night life and the casino :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Rob

We weren't able to explore the nightlife on the Magic last time (the kids were wiped out as soon as they finished dinner.)
I am hoping to spend some time dancing off some the days' calories this time around (if the kids can stay up that late!):cool1: I'm glad I will be in good company with other diser's! :thumbsup2

Wow...life, weather, kids' activities, etc have kept me from getting back to this board. I am sooooo excited that the cruise is just 2+ weeks away!

Marccy, (Sinasmom), you have done a terrifc job organizing this thread and the get-to-know you meeting on the ship. I will be there with my family and the friends we are traveling with. I look forward to meeting so many of you!

Ashley (ashansen), we are in the Dallas area too...reading the posts over the last few weeks, it sounds like your life is quite similar to mine right now! Loved the posts about the superbowl and ice!

To answer your question (posted so long ago...sorry!), we got engaged under the Christmas Tree on Main Street on Dec. 24, 1996. It was a beautiful moment, and we followed it with dinner at Victoria and Albert's at the GF. Love getting back there to remember our special day!

Our travel party includes myself, DH (turns 50 on board!), DS 10 and DS 8. Our friends are a husband, wife, and 2 boys (11 and 12). See you all at the Promenade lounge!

Wasn't V&A's the BEST??????!!! I absolutely LOVE that place (and not just because of the engagement!). We've been back once with some friends on our last trip in 2009 and it was fabulous yet again! Sometime I'd like to try to get in on the chef's table....maybe our 15th anniversary! Ha!

Ashley

I just looked at your list of people and realized I didn't give you any names. We are Rita, Steve, Chase (10) and Grayson (8). Friends are Carl, Theresa, Alex (12) and Nick (11).

See you all in just 16 days!

Yes, two weeks from tonight we drive to the airport...
and yes, I will likely say the same thing next Thursday as I did last Thursday with just the # of weeks off different!

We are so ready for this. Here are some reasons:

Shoveled the white stuff out of the driveway this morning. :sad2:

Found out I have Raynaud's Syndrome - which sounds worse than it is. It's when my fingers and toes get so cold they turn white from a loss of circulation. It's mostly from cold weather, so I'd really like to put that behind me!
(Unfortunately it's suppose to snow more then get to the single digits for the lows :cold: )

And, I reached my weight loss goal! :woohoo:

So, let's sail!!:boat:

Glad there will be others at the Rockin' D bar!
I am bummed they don't have 80's night anymore. I took my Madonna outfit last time and didn't get to wear it.

Oh, there is one last thing I have to get done before we go... the taxes.:headache: Meant to work on that today... oops.
Maybe tomorrow. :thumbsup2

Have a great weekend everyone!

V&A's is a delight! Very romantic, top notch service, and of course the special memories!! Love going back, but I don't think I have ever been so full as when we leave there!
