March 12, 2011 Eastern Caribbean, Let's rock the Magic!

Thanks for the ideas!

I don't have an iPhone, but I do have an iPad and I just installed the count down app. Love it!!

I am also booked on this cruise, we have been booked since our Panama Canal cruise in 2008 and had to keep putting it off, but we are definitely joining you all. This will be our 4th Disney cruise all on the Magic, but our 1st Eastern. It will be me (42) DH (48) will turn 49 on this cruise and possibly DS (17). May have to cancel DS off the cruise due to school. Hope to see everyone on the ship.

Hi Margaret!

We tried to get on that PC cruise in 2008 but got bumped before our TA could catch it (DCL's computer problems). We ended up on a Western in 12/08 and booked for this cruise back then too. I still hope to do a PC cruise someday!

This is our 4th cruise too and first Eastern. Can't wait!!

Hope your DS17 can make it. I totally get the school conflict thing... our kids are missing 6 days leading up to spring break. My DD14 is still in middle school (and DS10 4th grade) so, although she will miss a lot, I told her I wouldn't book anymore stuff like this when she is in High School!

We are meeting on Embarkation day at 3pm in the Promenade Lounge. Join us if you wish! Also, I am adding you to the main list of posters to this thread on page 8 post #119.

Take care everyone!!

Marcy

It's hard to believe it is almost time. We did get DS's passport today so we are good to go.:cool1: Is everyone bringing their kids to the meet on embarkation day? I didn't know there was an app for the phone. I am going to load that up tonight. No cruise docs yet, but I will call our travel agent tomorrow to check. I am sure all you planners realized that we are on our cruise the week of St. Patrick's day, but just in case don't forget your green. Hope everyone is having a great week.:woohoo:

Where and what time is the first opportunity for the kids to meet on board? My wife, Theresa, and I have book ourselves a 4:30 couple massage and then 8pm at Palo on the Saturday. This is mainly due to the rest of the week was booked for both. We are concerned about our DS11 and DD7 getting in with other kids right away so we don't feel guilty about leaving them. If they aren't happy, we will skip both our reservations. They are both quick to meet and make friends given the right opportunity.

Are their specific events scheduled for the 12th? Anyone know what?

Thanks!!

:)

We are planning on being at the 3pm meet. DS10 would love to meet your son I'm sure! I also have a DD, who will turn 6 on the ship!

Can you guys believe we are in the final month of counting down!?!

Our extra plans include doing Tea with Alice, Palo brunch on Monday at 10:30, Palo dinner on Wednesday at 6pm, the island tour and Sonesta resort beach break in St. Maarten, hopping a taxi to Coki Beach/Coral World for a few hours in St. Thomas, and then hopefully grab a good taxi back that will give us a little tour of the island (and if time permits, take the tram to Paradise Point). Other than that, we will play it by ear and play and relax and eat and play and eat some more!!! (Is anyone looking forward to eating on the ship as much as I am? I can't WAIT!!!):yay:

And we will all meet up one month from today!!!!:cool1:

What is Tea with Alice? Do we need ressies? If so, do I just call to get them? DD would love that!

I usually obsess with planning to WDW and haven't done that with this. I'm afraid I"m going to be missing lots!?!?

I did drag all of DD's clothes from the summer out, plus her swimsuits. It looks like we won't have to buy much for the trip, but no vacay is complete without a fun new outfit!!?

I will never forget St. Patrick's day...that is my daughter's birthday...:goodvibes

I think it would be great for all the kids to meet with us at the Promenade lounge at 3pm.... I could see them making plans to meet at the ice cream station, teen club, etc as soon as the muster drill is over.:hippie:

The sail away party is pretty fun with kids too... at least if they are interested in participating in the dancing and arm waving. :yay:

I am planning on heading to the bow of the ship for sail away to see if the dolphins escort us out....I've heard about this but never tried to see it.

What's fun about meeting on the first day is that we will see each other around the ship all week long... even if we don't make specific plans to do things together. I can tell you that I am one for late nights in the adult clubs for dancing... you'll find me there working off calories from dinner!!:woohoo:

That sounds like fun...I've heard about it but not that it happens with Disney ships...

OK, I just finished emptying the dishwasher, refilling, washing pots & pans, wiping all counters, sweeping kitchen floor, moping kitchen floor, cleaning bathrooms, making beds, laundry, and still need to go to the grocery store and the bank before picking up the kids from school. All between teaching a morning and an afternoon Jazzercise class.:faint:

ANYONE ELSE READY FOR A CRUISE VACATION?!?!

Three weeks from tonight we drive to the airport and get on a red eye to Orlando!!!:woohoo::banana::cool1::yay:

Three weeks from tonight I will be putting my kids to bed extra early and hopefully I'll be doing the same, as we will be getting up at 3am to get to the airport for our super early morning flight! And then, 3 weeks from tomorrow, we will spend the day in Orlando at Downtown Disney and our hotel (Animal Kingdom Lodge)....I CAN NOT WAIT!!! (and yes, I am screaming!:yay::yay:)

Still working on FE gifts...I can't wait to give them out!!! I love gifting!:goodvibes

Michelle, are you the same Michelle064 that I met on the Passporter meet thread? Small world! :)

WOW....spring is here in north Texas:cool1::cool1: I just went out to check on our pool and the thermometer was reading 80 degrees on the dot :worship::worship: We are hoping that this weather lasts until the cruise.

We are heading out to Wallmart to get our travel items today:thumbsup2 this makes the cruise feel real close now.

Rob

How will I cope not having to do all those chores?!

That is what makes a DCL trip a true vacation! Someone else cooks, vacuums, makes the beds, cleans the bathrooms, all of it! :woohoo:

Hey Victoria -
Saw that you and family are traveling out of Seattle on the 10th too...
Are you by chance on the morning Alaska Airlines flight? (the only other one is the red eye that night).

Just curious because you may be traveling with my mom & stepdad. They are also staying at the Hyatt at MCO upon arrival that evening.
