Losing weight for the mouse in 2015

Ugh- just caved and had McDonald's for lunch. I had less fries than normal. I need to figure out something "healthy" to get there. It is like a block away and we end up there a lot.

I am! I live in San tan valley and I work in gilbert. Where are you? Oh and I totally get the McDonald's dilema. That's one of the only things out by us. It's pretty bad when you go there so much that one of the drive thru worker tells you that the staff was talking about their favorite regulars and that I came up as one of their favorites because I'm always nice. Ugh!!!! Kinda funny though!!!

Haha! When my sister and I lived together, the Pizza Hut delivery lady said "see you soon" in such a confident way we stopped ordering for a while! :rotfl2: I live on the Phoenix/ Scottsdale border- pretty close to Kierland Commons if you know where that is.
 
Ladies and gentlemen..... I'm not trying to derail you, I just want to tell all of you that if you can:
---get around the parks for a full day without being winded or in pain
---can go in a store and buy park suitable clothes to fit you
---can ride all the rides with no problems

Then don't make yourself miserable or stressed worried about what others think of how you look. We were all made in different sizes, shapes, even colors for a reason. I may not know you but I can guarantee that there are clothes, even swimsuits, that look great on you and you feel great in.

I just want to let you all know that so you aren't consumed or focused so much on losing weight just because of what others may think.

BOO TO THEM! YOU ARE ALREADY HANDSOME/GORGEOUS!
 
so far I've been doing good using the myfitnesspal app. It's keeps me accountable of what I eat if I have to track it. Feel free to look me up.

Bummed to report that I haven't had such a great day. My main meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) were fine, but my roommate came home in the afternoon with homemade tamales and brownies...It all went downhill from there :eek:

And I am sick today, which doesn't help. I woke up this morning with a painful cough, but it went away mid-afternoon. Of course, as soon as it did, I was hit with a fever :headache: I'm still feeling quite achey and feverish, so I'm going to go to bed early in hopes of breaking the fever overnight. Classes start tomorrow, and I do not want to be sick!
 
Try slicing a cucumber really thin and using it as "chips". It tastes pretty good!

Oooh I will try that. Picked up more Cigar City Smoked Salsa today and we purposely didn't get the chips. We were feeling stronger (will power) today since we went to the gym this morning and didn't want to ruin our hard work.

I'm in, yay so glad to have found this. Just started at the Earhart healthy weightloss center on Monday, so just finishing up my first week and down 7lbs! We are going April 29th for my sons make a wish trip. I gotta get in gear and get this weight off. It will be so nice to have support and motivation here!
 
I just got home from a weekend full of travel. I'm hoping my weigh in goes okay in the morning. The Chinese food may have tripped me up a little. :rolleyes1

I also have plans to cancel my gym membership tomorrow, which may seem counterproductive. But, I'm not using it and that could be an extra $600 to go towards our trip.
 
I'd like to join this too! We are doing a coast to coast trip in August. We are starting with a week at DL and then a week at WDW. At my current weight I don't think I could do it (not to mention the chaffing would be horrendous!) My goal is to lose 50lbs and/or be a size 12 by August 8th. I'll still be 20lbs over weight but it'll be much better! I'm starting my cleanse tomorrow.
 
I weighed in today and lost 4.4!! Thrilled with my first week. Hope everyone else weighing in today is having success!

Congrats!!

I weigh regularly and well nothing gained nothing lost in the past week. The week was pretty good other than my oldest DS had a birthday and we celebrated Saturday with cake, then yesterday I had a really bad day of junk. I did still exercise both days (an hour on the recumbent keeping my heart rate in the fat loss range). I have to say though I am kind of looking forward to my day off exercise today, I work out hard everyday except Monday and Wednesday. It is too hard for me to workout everynight after work, by the time I get home and make dinner then exercise and shower it is bed time.

I guess it would be easier too if I saw some results from exercising. I work out 5 out of 7 days starting the beginning of December and do MFP and since I went from just counting to counting with cardio I netted an 8 pound gain.

I hate not getting anywhere :( I know I just need to hang in there, but you know sometimes that is hard to do.

Keep fighting the good fight. You know that the alternative is even worse! Just focus on improving what you know needs fixing each week and have faith!

Over the past week I gained back a pound which is frustrating. But I'm not going to lie to myself. My eating still wasn't what it should be. We had to take an unexpected 4 hour road trip (one way) to see a dear relative who is in hospice and won't be with us much longer. :( Traveling doesn't help....sitting for hours grabbing restaurant food on the road.

Yesterday we were finally home and went to the gym in the morning and grocery store later. We stocked up on healthy foods for the week. I also signed up for a 15 week wight loss program at the gym... The program features weekly classes from a registered dietitian, behavior specialist, health educator, and personal training. It's a little pricy, but I feel I'm at a critical point in my health.

At my age my mother was healthy enough to get her weight under control, but didn't. She's in her mid- 60's and her knees, hips, and back are a mess. She has high blood pressure, and is probably in denial about diabetes (it runs in the family). She is in constant pain and just started taking heavy narcotics for it. She walks with a cane. I sooooo don't want to be that way.
 
Joining this thread! Went to WDW in 11/2014 and it looks as though we are headed back 11/2015! This time I want to be 50+ lbs lighter. Although a plush size person I had no trouble walking the park or riding the rides. I'm just wanting to get slimmer for Disney & see the results in pictures!

So my DD (13), Hubby & I are all working on making 2015 a better slimmer us! ;). Joined our local Y, and am shopping smarter & eating on 9" plates vs the larger ones now. I have a friend that lost 12 lbs in 8 weeks just with portion control.

Ok I weighed in this am...down 4.6 pounds!!! Makes me happy! I'll do my measurements later tonight, that's where I usually see the difference fastest. Also finished my fitness journal last night. I did it with all disney themed pages and put getting fit for disney on the front cover. Totally keeps me motivated!

Don't let one bad day get you down! We all have those days, and especially since you are not feeling well it makes it even harder!! Tomorrow is a new day, you'll do great!
 
I made the commitment to avoid sweets until my trip on April 29th. Not only will it help me avoid over eating ( I LOVE my chocolate!), but those special treats at DL are going to taste SO yummy!

Major pitfall. :(. Had an issue arise regarding my mom and sisters and got depressed. I have eaten badly all weekend and ended up gaining 6 pounds :(. Now I'm even more depressed and trying not to eat even more. Will power will power will power.

Hang in there you can do it!!!!

I am fighting my will power too, seems like lately I have a lot of days that I am eating terrible and saying it is just one day. And while it's true one day once in a while doesn't hurt, my one days have been far too frequent and I am back up two pounds. I have more will power than this I need to just get out of this funk I am in and do it!
