SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS!
O.K., O.K. I am so so so so sorry!
Nate saw the doctor today and she listened to him and gave him a good once over, not saying a word the whole time I might add and then as calmly as you please said, "Well......Nathan have a wonderful trip!" I let out the breath I was holding and almost cried. We have him on an antibiotic just in case he is starting to get something. We were going to put him on one anyway just because of all the new germs he will be exposed to, so now he is getting them sooner. Nate's body cannot handle an overload of germs, even if they aren't necessarily sick germs.
So, I also have a couple of other things to add:
1. Thank you all so much. When Nate started to have some trouble, I didn't even panic. I just thought, well post a message and his Dfamily will pray for him and it will all be o.k. Thank you for the prayers...and for being people I knew I could count on.
2. I just want to state again how much we have come to love and care for the Verandah family. I received a phone call from Hazel and she scolded me for not posting sooner about the Dr's o.k. I could hear Andy in the back saying, "there are a lot of people worried about him". I had to chuckle because I thought it seemed like I was talking to my parents. You know what...I loved it. My and Eric's families are very small and not as close as we would like. I felt so good to have someone call me up and fuss at me, just like a real family would. So, thank you Dmom Hazel and Ddad Andy.
3. WE ARE LEAVING FOR OUR CRUISE TOMMARROW!!!! I don't think I have ever been so excited about anything in my life.
We have been told that Nate is almost a celebrity on the ship and I am so looking forward to that for him. For once he will be looked upon like royalty and not just a "disabled kid". I can only imagine how that will feel to him.
O.k. so now I have to get back to packing...I have not packed a thing yet because I was so worried the Dr. would give us bad news and I thought well it will be easier if I don't have all of our bags sitting there looking at me while I am shattering everyones dreams. Now I am running around like a "chicken with my head cut off" (as my grandmother used to say)
Holy smokes..did I say that? I must really be delusional with excitement to say something like that on here!SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS! SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS!
