Help me decide! Columbus Day or Veterans Day?

We are going next October but leaving on Sunday the 6th. Columbus day is the following Monday the 14th. Will the crowds be busy sept 29-oct6? Trying to avoid crowds which is why we don't want to go in November due to galaxys edge.

We've done both. In all honesty, the 9-29 through 10-6 period will be a ghost town compared to the next week. The Columbus Day crowds start to arrive Thurs/Fri and really take off Saturday-you will be gone 5 days before this happens.
