Hi all, My teen daughter were thrilled with the Hard Rock Hotel and give it a thumbs up for an excellent vacation value! Especially in Orlando!.
What we like about HRH:
Room Rate: $ll7 nitely, for standard garden view room. Room was lovely. We did not receive the Loews first upgrade because hotel was full, but it didn't matter.
Location: can't be beat, right on Universal property, very relaxing to take the boat ot parks or walk on the beautiful pathway to Universal. I especially enjoyed reading the posted landscape signs, as I did not know what most of the flowers and trees were.
Service: Excelletn hospitality...every question we asked received an imediate and attentive answer. Very helpful staff. For example, room service brought our milk/cookies one nite along with our park purchase delivery at the same time so as not to bother us twice. Also, we received a l0% discount at the HR store, because I had asked if there was a fan club discount. The clerk said no fan discount, but she's give me a discount anyway.
Food: We only ate bakery items from the Sunset Grill which were good.
FOTL: My dd thought this perk was awesome. We rode l5 rides between noon and 8 one day, including lunch, shopping and a couple breaks. It sure makes for a much more relaxing trip, when you're not standing in line half the day.
Parking: Parking lot is easy to get to, directions are marked well. (self parkng lot)
Hard Rock Cafe: We were seated at a table within 5 minutes after showing our room keys. This is a great perk. Food was excellent.
Housekeeping: Our room was kept in excellent shape, except for one day when it was cleaned late. Housekeeping was by our door when we came back from parks.
Pool: Very relaxing and the landscaping around pool is stunning.
