ECV rental Help!

Hello! How is everyone’s experience renting an ecv from gold mobility scooters? Are we able to drop off each day and pick back up in the morning or do we have to take it with us? We won’t be staying on site so this may be an issue for us.

once the ECV has been delivered to you, you keep it and bring it with you to the parks or wherever you are going.
it will be picked up at the end of your stay.

if you will have a vehicle, you can rent an ECV that breaks down to transport in a car or van. It is possible to rent an ECV from Disney at the parks, but they are first come /first served and there is no guarantee they will have any left when you arrive.

If you decide to rent at the parks just realize it will be more expensive. Make sure you get to the park at opening time then you should be able to secure a scooter. Worse to worse if unavailable then you can rent a wheelchair but then you need to push it.

You could ask the offsite scooter rental company if you could drop off and pick up each day at their location but then you have to work with their hours of operation. Some offsite scooter rental companies don't have a store front; they may work out of a warehouse only and they may not allow it. There's time factors involved going back and forth to an offsite scooter company which may be very time consuming.

It's typical to just keep the scooter for the length of your stay. You do have to be responsible for charging the battery everyday. For most people it helps to have the scooter outside the parks, too.

You keep the scooter for the length of the rental. There is a video that shows how to break down the scooter, and it is pretty straight forward, if you have someone that can handle it.

Otherwise the ecvs from Disney are rented on a first come, first served basis. And lately they have been running out. Is the person the scooter is for able to walk at all? Keep in mind too the shuttles are not running from the parking lot, so they may have to walk quite a bit if you don't keep a scooter for the whole time.
