Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Tensions seem to running high around the DIS, in life, etc, again these days - so let's have some distracting fun on our little corner of the Internet. What does everyone think of this modern design style of putting the tub and shower in one large/combined room? FYI, this is the master bath in the new King K suite in the Tonga Longhouse at Poly.

Ooh. I do not like this. Love the colors though.

You guys, I'm such a lover. I'm following the boo bash thread and they are talking about a live stream so I put it on. Just seeing the castle and music is bringing tears to my eyes.
Edited to say, its supposed to be loser, not lover 😆 it fits so I'll leave it.

On a different note, they also claim on that thread they increased boo bash capacity to party capacity instead of AH. They did it went from 15,000 to 25,000. That's a huge increase. My date has been sold out. Not sure why. It's 2 weeks from today. A Tuesday is sold out but not that friday🤷‍♀️. I can't see 25,000 being sold on a Tuesday in August.

Back to looking at the live stream😍😍😍

I just got off the phone with DSS. I think they are excited as we are to get more information on Club Level services.

The CM I spoke with said 3 things are not returning at this point and everything else should be the same level. 1 is no turn down in the evenings, 2. is no daily print out in your room or villa, and 3. is no package delivery to your room or villa.

She confirmed that AKL Club is opening in August with the rest of the resort. There are no cultural representative CM's at this point so that will make a huge difference in the CM's of this resort. There are no resort scheduled activities at this point but she felt they will be announced soon.

She was not certain of how the check in process will occur but she said they were striving for a normal Club Level experience so she suspects you will still check in at the podium outside and then be escorted up the elevator to Club.

But all in all it was great to have confirmation of the return of Kilimanjaro Club to AKL!

CL fast passes? Maybe they will be back then?

Wooooooh! That was a chunk of change!
Reservations in for Wilderness Lodge, Standard Club Level from Dec 24 - 28 2022. (Switching to Contemp Tower Theme park non-club on Dec 28-30, then BWI for Dec 31- Jan 2)

I'm rationalizing all my club level stays in '22 due to the fact that we'll be there on the major holidays, and leaving the parks to take a break and eat seems like a wise move.
My first ever Club level stay will be Atrium level at the Contemp for July 3-6, 2022. Then I have Boardwalk Club for Thanksgiving 2022. Considering Beach Club for Spring Break 2023 - but the reviews of that Club level are kinda crap, so I'll wait to see how they do.

I'm considering switching one night to the AK Club for our trip from Sept 30-Oct 7 - but we're in the Wilderness Lodge Cabins from Sept 30- Oct 4, and then at AKV from Oct 4-7, and not sure switching Oct 3 to the Club level (it's avail) at AK is a wise move as I'll likely have an actual refrigerator of food as both our Cabins and the Villa have kitchens we'll be using. Plus a switch for one night is a PITA. And the AK Club level experience in 2021 seems uncertain still. So may save that experience for a later date.

Secretly glad I’m not a moderator over on that board anymore. Without fail - every year “first night” excitement and enthusiasm quickly changed to never ending ‘too crowded’ outrage/arguments. Whether justified or not is always debatable of course, but the same cycle of commentary always seemed to ‘dominate the narrative’ and after awhile it was sort of exhausting! :-)

As someone who formerly “ran” the After Hours threads, to me the commentary and reviews last night looked/felt just like the Villains version of After Hours (an event that people were ‘critical’ of because it felt like a larger guest count than regular After Hours). Not everyone will like every event of course, but seemed fun/entertaining to me and I’m looking forward to it.

I was excited to watch the live stream and see the cavalcades. It did not look very crowded to me.
I go to Disney enough that paying for extra park hours at MK with a little halloween spice isn't enough for me - but I'm happy for those it was. (Give me after hours at AK and I'll be all over it though).
That said - I don't think they did a sudden increase in Party capacity. I think the last minute 'tickets for sale' were due to people canceling due to the fear of covid things in FL right now. Disney is still being pretty lenient on it's cancellation/refund policy, and I don't think there was so many tickets (or that they knew much ahead of time) that they could open the site for more tickets. I think we'll see that at every Boo Bash imo. Disney trying to sell off the double handful of canceled tickets the night of.

Where are you getting those capacity numbers? I'm pretty sure Disney does not release them, so someone is guesstimating.

Hahaha, people said the same thing about it being VAH. I'm excited to go. I've never been to a party or AH and last year was supposed to be first one. I'm just happy to go to something 😆

I totally agree about the extra tickets being last minute cancelations etc. Someone posted those numbers on another thread and claims they were on Twitter. I'm not buying it. I wasn't planning in watching calvacades, was going to focus on rides...after watching last night I do want to see some lol. My kids will be all over the nightmare before Christmas one. Didn't they have an AH at AK, Pandora after dark or something? I need HS, those lines are brutal.

They have had AH at AK - they always seem to be on low demand days anyways, so I haven't done them yet. But I'd just get back in line for FOP over and over and over again.
HS - With you there, would AH there too, lots of rides that would be great to have low wait times on!

For me, when Guardians of the Galaxy Rewind and Tron's Lightcycle are in - then MK and EP will be much more desirable for AH/low crowd events. I love thrill rides and that's what I'd pay for the AHs events to ride. Mind you, I'd also ride Jungle cruise over and over again - but that's just me.

I have a dilemma...I have GF GV booked for the three days before our RPC stay...well I checked this morning and the 1st three days in RPC are now available with a discount... do I switch to RPC or save money and keep GV? I know this is the wrong place to ask that question. :rotfl2: I want to do it, but I'm paying a ridiculous rack rate for RPC for three nights...hmm maybe I shouldn't add it all up but just look at each one separately...Ya know, Disney math :D

Yah know - very true! It's one of the reasons I've actually fallen in love with this sub-group. I don't feel like someone is shaming me for spending the amount of money I do at Disney and no one is constantly complaining about how much everything costs ;P

Speaking of spending money - I haven't switched to AK Club - but I have switched a three night stay at Gran Destino in early November to Club level! You guys are a bad influence! :P

I would look at the total cost. We are doing 3 nights reg BWI and 3 nights CR CL. I am already over what I want to pay so I'm not upgrading anything. Plus my family wants to eat at certain places and I think CL is a waste when we have those plans. Instead of paying extgra $200/night for CL we will use that money for dinners.

Except for me :smickey: I won't shame you but I may point out why you don't really need it. Just pointing out some value aspects.

I say switch lol. I would compare total cost of each. You also won't have to switch rooms which is nice.
