Disney's BOARDWALK INN Information & Questions

If you are staying on DVC points, you won't get enough pods for one a day unless you buy more. You'll maybe get one or two and you only get housekeeping services every four days on DVC points.

You can always ask for more. There's no charge.

I have had success leaving a note asking for more coffee pods and supplies with a tip. And the trash magically disappears.

We will be staying at the Boardwalk in February. After many DVC stays, this trip we’re are staying in the Inn side in a standard view room. Any ideas for a room request?

If you have access to Touring plans, it shows all the views from the rooms, usually with pictures.

I'm taking my daughter and her best friend to WDW as a 16th birthday gift. We have tickets already and the flights for our dates are relatively cheap, so I decided to splurge on the room (her friend has never been there and she's also turning 16 this year). I was just able to get a 40% AP rate, and I'm really excited to finally try BWI!

Just an FYI, some of the three rooms we had at the Inn had Keurigs. (2 out of three on the fifth floor).

Yes, to be clear, the Inn (regular rooms) side has Keurigs/single use pods, but the DVC Villa rooms have Mr Coffees. It’s the same that way at all the resorts as far as I know. It would be simpler to answer this question if they were the same!

Which is preferred for family of five....villa studio or regular room/

Studio villas have one queen bed, a double foldout sofa bed, and a "slightly smaller than twin" bed that folds down from the wall. Inn rooms have two queen beds and a twin size day bed. My preference would be for a regular room so that everyone had a real bed - I haven't slept on the sofa bed myself but not everyone finds them comfortable (especially adults).

Regular hotel room. But if you can get a one bedroom with the twin sleeper chair (OKW, BLT and AKV) that gives you lots of space. Still fold out beds instead of real ones, but other niceties.

We didn't go with either of those choices for our family of five. Instead I reserved a Deluxe room, which are all club level but also are a bit bigger than the standard room. They also have a fab view & balcony. The standard rooms just seemed too small for all five of us now that the kids are grown.

That's out of date I asked this when we were there last month. They no longer charge for additional supplies. You are at the least entitled to enough supplies to cover your stay.

I wonder if you were given incorrect information. If supplies are unlimited, does that additional overall cost come out of member dues? This would be a big enough change that I would think it would have been discussed in the DVC forums here and elsewhere.

No, you are not entitled to enough supplies to cover your stay. You get limited amenities because you are staying in a timeshare, not a hotel room. The person you talked to was incorrect. DVC would have made a big announcement if you could get as much stuff as you wanted. And they would have deleted that info on the DVC website.

However, if you booked through Disney Reservation Center for cash, you get daily full cleaning and all supplies replenished. If you book for cash through DVC, you get the same response as if you were staying on points.

Anyone there now that can find out when the gingerbread display comes down? We check in on Tuesday and are really hoping to see it!

Here's a question for all of you BWI vets with adult tastes: Will the Bell Vue Lounge offer "to go Cups" for Bloody Mary's in the morning so we could enjoy them on our stroll to Epcot or HS?

I didn’t realize that Bloody mary’s were on the breakfast menu. We hit the Belle Vue in the evening. Obviously I have been missing the boat. Hope to know the answer before our next trip.
