Too funny about picking a favorite park! That is a tough/impossible choice!

It is impossible!!! One day you might like one park and the next day another park.

Tuesday, May 21st, Day 7 Cont.


I'm in Epcot
And it's Flower and Garden Festival...
This is on my bucket list

I have always wanted to be in Disney during The Flower and Garden Festival
but...
Not for 6 hours
For a couple of days to just take it all in...

It's amazing
even though I was only there for 6 hours to see it!!!


This is amazing...

We walked on around to Canada and then to England and look who we found...

He's so sassy!!!









A stroll through the Gardens...

Mary Poppins... She practically perfect in everyway!!!!

We had a fun afternoon walking around the Worlds

Now it's time to show Jeff my favorite Fireworks show...

I love to put on my DVD's of Disney and just watch this firework show.

After the fireworks, we ran to Soarin..
Just one more time...

We've had such an awesome day!!!
2 Parks and lots and lots of rides...

Tomorrow is coming close and I'm starting to hold on to my baby girl!!!
I can't believe that tomorrow I'm heading back home and she's staying there.

I'm just not ready for this...
I'm not ready to leave her in Florida...

Wednesday, Day 8, May 22nd


This day is here.


I know as our children grow older we're suppose to let them fly...
Right?
Right...
But
I'm not really sure if I'm ever ready to let my baby fly...

But today is the day.

I'm sure hoping that I've given her all the tools she needs to fly,
but,
I'm really really scared that she's going to fall right down to the ground.


But it's time to leave Orlando.
It's time to leave her at her apartment
It's time to get in the car and make that long drive back to Texas WITHOUT HER!!!!


I'm not ready,
but I'm trying really hard to be strong for her
because I don't want her to get homesick...


It's not like I can just jump in my car and drive over to see her for the day and drive back home.



This is the day
This is her dream
This is what she has wanted to do since our first trip to Disneyworld

So I have to let her fly...




We packed the car and drove her over to her apartment.
It was really early so we didn't go up with her, we figured everyone would be asleep
Then
She drove with us over to Chick - Fil - A for a quick breakfast and soda
Then across the street to fill her tank up with gas.


I'm trying really hard to be strong...
It's going to be along 7 to 8 month's - Her contract doesn't end until Jan. 1, 2014...


She's so excited for this day because today she goes to her first meeting and she'll get her pin (Name Tag) from Mickey... (she doesn't know that Mickey pins them, it's going to be a surprise to her)
So
I'm so excited for her and trying really hard not to bawl my eyes out.

NOW... It's time to say goodbye...









We're on the road...
and I'm bawling
and Jeff's quite
and we're heading back to Texas...


The drive is pretty normal
We got somewhere in the panhandle of Florida and got this txt from Rae



She's been pinned!!!!!!

She was so excited...
Now She's Off to Costume - to get her uniform for the Emporium Store
She starts work Friday...
Then back to her apartment to hang out and meet her roommates...
She was really excited - which makes Momma very happy.




There isn't much to talk about on the drive back to Texas
It's just a drive...
We made it to Alexandria, Louisiana for the night

We got up early the next morning - Thursday Morning and on home by that evening...

Of course we talk to her lots of times on the drive home
and
a whole group of them we're off Thursday and heading to Magic Kingdom for the day...
I'm so glad she's making friends...
Off to a great start...


She's there
We got home and my plans for a trip to Disney Start...

September 11th - through 18th with Charlie!!!!
I can't wait...
We had a great trip and I'll try to write a trip report about it.


The rest of the story...

She's now home...
She got home Jan. 4th.
and
I'm so happy to have her home
Disney was such an awesome experience!!
Lots of long hours because Magic Kingdom and the Emporium store stays open an hour after the park closes... Then it's time to clean up the store and get ready for the next morning
Soooooo Lots and Lots of long hours!!!!
She came home in July for a quick visit... HOMESICK
and we went in September - for a week and she took those days off and stayed with us at BeachClub...
She wanted to be on vacation with us
She came home the first week in November for Thanksgiving
Before the RUSH of Disney's Thanksgiving and Christmas crowds..
The holidays were very hard for her and she missed her family like crazy
but
She made it.... She did it... She passed...




She was so glad that she did it
and
she even adventured over to the beach on her days off.
(She'd always send me pictures of the beach)
One of her favorite things was watching the parades and the music to the parades
plus
she loved watching the filming of the Christmas Parade and she got several pictures of Neil Patrick Harris... plus great stories about seeing him
If she wasn't at the beach on her day off
She would go to Animal Kingdom (her favorite park) and then to Magic Kingdom or another park. That's just what they did on their days off.

Now...
She's back to school and back to the swing of normal life..
She loved every minute of the College Program and she's planning on returning one day...

Best Trip report EVER!!!! I just cried my little eyes out reading about dropping Rae one last time before heading back to Texas. I know how hard that must have been!! I am so just incredibly proud of Rae for living her dream, even though sometimes she was tired and homesick. She did what a lot of others could not do. What a fabulous life adventure she had!! I'm so glad I was able to see her and hug her tight while she was there!!!

Enjoy your Texas snow!! Texas snow is magical!!! Drive safe out there and enjoy the winter wonderland!!!

such a super fun day!! Love that girl!!! We rode Expedition Everest together!!

We ran the half marathon that night. I was really nervous that morning about the race and it was so great to get to hang out with Rae in the afternoon. Made my butterflies settle down a bit!!!
