Disney After Hours Returns for 2024

We're going to WDW in March but I don't really want to purchase AH tickets until I know if the date conflicts with the free extended evening hours at another park. Does anyone know if the AH tickets are refundable if you decide to cancel? Or how quickly tickets typically sell out for the spring break season?

There’s no way to know when a night will sell out. Tickets are nonrefundable. However, there have been reports that they will give you a credit to use towards a future holiday party. YMMV, there is no written public policy on that.

Looking to get tickets when they go on sale to the general public on the 14th. Does anyone know what time they release tickets? Looking to get the first date for HS and worried about it selling out!

All the website says for now is that they go on sale the 14th and to check back for more details soon. Disney will probably update the time when we get closer to the dates.

This won’t be replacing Extended Evening hours offered for deluxe resort guests I hope?
No, but in my personal experience it can coincide with the Extended Evening Hours. For example, we bought tickets to HS after hours last year and then when they updated the Extended Evening Hours calendar the MK event was on the same night. So we missed out on that. (Not a huge deal, but ... maybe since I still am a little irritated by it! haha). However, they would not do the same park on the same night.

Just something to keep in mind.

I apologize if this isn’t the right thread, but my January trip is over the first after hours event at HS and MK. I‘m not planning on attending one but in general is it better to avoid a normal park day when there is an after hours event or does it not matter? Just trying to plan accordingly. It seems like everything is coming back at the same time!

DAH doesn’t make a difference in crowds or waits during the day, so there’s no reason to avoid a park with DAH. The park will have normal hours & night time entertainment. Yes, those with a DAH ticket can get in at 7pm, but there really aren’t that enough tickets sold to effect normal operations. It’s quite a lot less than for the holiday parties, so you won’t really notice. When we go to a DAH event, we don’t go til closer to the start time. We have APs & don’t need the extra park time. We try to save our energy for the late hours, lol.

Can someone tell me how different the After Hours events are from the Extended Evening hours the deluxe resort guests get? Besides the snacks? I'm trying to decide if it's worth it because we already are staying at a resort that qualifies us for EEH.

DAH is 3 hours, extra hours is 2. Anyone in a deluxe resort can attend extra hours. DAH definitely has less people in attendance in my experience. Plus, day guests can linger more at extra hours. DAH, they start looking for your wrist band at closing, so the pathways & park seem to clear out a little quicker. Both the HS are rife focused, so there’s not usually entertainment & extras at either 1. Although, we went to deluxe extra hours at Epcot 4th of July week & there was some limited entertainment…music & a DJ. I don’t think that’s normal & might just have been sure to the holiday. Included snacks are a big difference.

Do we know what time tickets go on sale Tuesday? Or will Disney announce more details tomorrow?

I would anticipate they could go on sale at midnight so I would be available at midnight if it were me.
Actually if tickets are only going to be available via phone I wouldn’t expect them that to happen at midnight. I don’t think tickets are available to order online until they open to general public on 11/14.

The website says resort guests buying early must call. So they should be available to buy when phone lines open. Online sales won’t be available until the general release on the 14th.

And none of these events has ever sold out the first day of release. It’s not like an AP preview that sells out in hours. I personally won’t be on the phone at 7am, I’ll wait to the phone lines settle down.

Just got tickets for Jan 10 & 11! We have done after hours events in the past but I'm forgetting, is there no discount for Disney Visa?

A question to anyone who purchased tickets. Did you get your confirmation email right away?

I got through first thing this morning to purchase DAS for 4/10, but right as we were finalizing, castmember said it glitched and transferred me to a ticket specialist. 40 minutes on hold later, I was given to an escalation person and able to purchase. She gave me a confirmation number and took my email and phone number, but I still haven't received email confirmation. Just curious on the timing other people are seeing.

I talked to an agent around 7:00 am PST and finished at 7:09 and got my confirmation e-mail at 7:10.

I was able to enter in confirmation code into MDE and link it so maybe you can try that to see if it went through.
