DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Why? What good is a poll when 100% of votes will be for roll the eyes? I mean, she is a teenage girl.

Valid point.

Polls are closed!

It's a play on words with the name

CHICKen Filet = Chik-fil-a

I know that now!
When I heard the ad.... "Oh!!"

Actually, it sounds more like a Canadian porn company now. Chick fill, eh?

Happy birthday to DD!

Thanks.

Well, she's used to you guys. We have had meets at WDW as well other states. It really could go either way.

Happy birthday to your oldest. Good dad move on getting
.

Thanks.

Ah, and so it begins. My rum consumption has increased significantly in the last couple years.

Oh heck, by now you get the idea. Let's just say the teenage years of 16 to (in 7 more weeks) 18 have done nothing to keep my hair from going grey.

Child labour (translation...labor). I like it. I've tried it with the 17 year old. Unfortunately it's a bit like trying to watch a koala wrestle with the snow shovel, so I generally just take pity and do it myself.
.

So, your rum consumption has increased and your gray hair has increased. And you're against child labor. 2 out of 3 ain't bad. :lmao:

I've always spelled it as ay as in the end of pay or day or say. Or better yet, the sound Fonzie makes on happy days.

Eh, I would pronounce as in meh or the e sound in wet or ten (can't think of any others that would have this sound right now, I'm sure there are more).

Good lord man, how do you survive with that kind of suffering every day? :rotfl2:

But, I do get the dilemma. Personally, just from looking at it, I've always wanted to stay at Wilderness Lodge.

Hey buddy, good to hear from ya. I'm glad someone understands my pain. It's a constant struggle.
We signed up for DVC for the Poly in Wilderness Lodge, it looked lovely. Just wanted to base ourselves at a different park, as we tend to stay in the MK vicinity.

Nope, still don't get it. Maybe its my freaky accent. I'll watch a commercial later.
Thanks for the birthday wishes for dd. I'll pass them on. Maybe she will say thanks. Maybe she will roll her eyes.
I think she's gonna surprise us, sign in under Norm's name, and thank us all personally for the kind wishes. Or maybe I've been at Jeff's Rum. Or what's left of it.

So, how do you pronounce filet (as in filet Mignon)?

I've heard this pronounced about 8 ways in your fine country. Ten, tin, ti-yen......
Well, only the first and the last are correct. Tin is a metal. Ti-yen is the correct southern, two syllable pronunciation. :lmao:

Good choice. I really enjoy the boat ride from MK to WL. You boat over the water bridge, which is the largest for some record, don't remember. Good restaurants and nice beach area as well.

Eh in Canada is a cliche. We pronounce it “ay” as in day.

As I understand it, it's French or of French origin, so it's fil-ay (not filet as in ryhming with millet) min-yon.
Yeah, we nicked that one and turned it into our language.

On a completely unrelated subject, are Notre Dame playing this weekend? ;)

I told oldest dd that you all said happy birthday. She said thank you and rolled her eyes at the same time. Although, I think the eye roll was due to me having her leave her room to talk to me.

I stand corrected. The eye roll was totally expected, but not the thank you. Good on ya mate.

Morning men. Day off from the running, so am off to the dry ski slope for a couple of hours, because that's all we get in the UK. Couple of errands, apart from that, not much from the London Bureau.

I can completely picture that scene.
How do you pronounce Notre Dame?

:rolleyes1
:D

Canadian porn and chicken sandwiches. Good to see all is normal here.

Another snow day for the kids. Between Christmas vacation, cold, snow, and busted water pipes, the kids have only had 2.5 days of school since December 20th and tomorrow isn't looking good either. I'm glad I can walk to work.

Happy belated to your DD Norm. I hope she has more interest in getting her permit than mine does. His 16th was back in November and still has no interest in getting his permit. I'm not going to push it because it might be related to the car wreck I had a couple of years ago. Also it saves me on the insurance $$$.

You all know what tomorrow is right?

Wednesday. :sad2:
