After my most recent trip, last week, it seems to me that the Campers at the Fort are getting less considerate of others. I cannot tell you how many times we noticed folks driving the wrong way in the loops with golf carts. You're in a cart for goodness sakes, you can't be bothered to drive your cart for an additional 30 seconds to get safely out of the loop? Very frustrating. Saw people washing their campers all over the place. Even had an issue with woman bringing her son into the shower rooms. Our neighbors did this repeatedly. Now, let me say that I am not sure whether or not this young man was "autistic" but I suppose that is possible. However, a boy of 11 or 12 should be showering with his Father if he needs supervision. If he does have special needs, where do you draw the line, when he's 16, 17, or 18? And, he should definitely not be allowed to run into the ladies shower room and start looking under the stalls to see if they are empty. This happened twice. In this particular case, the young man should have gone into the men's room with his father who was also showering at the same time. I didn't care for this at all. I was quite uncomfortable showering with this young man in the next shower stall. I believe this should have been handled very differently by his parents.
In general, it seems that the rules are quite loose at the Fort and the usual considerate campers are giving way to people who act selfishly and unsafely. Just sayin'
