Yes you should be excited for Palo brunch 
I would also urge you to reconsider dinner there!
DH and I are also meat and potatoes type people. I’m not very adventurous. My meals there have been:
1) Potato gnocchi (potatoes inside pasta with some red sauce on top)
2) Steak, glorious magnificent steak!
3) Chocolate soufflé (chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream)
To me that is pretty meat and potatoes, and it is (so far) the best meal I’ve ever had in my LIFE.
Also, the dress code has been relaxed (jeans are allowed!)
