Please no negative comments about my posting this question; I have a doctor's appt next week but just was curious now.
My Creatinine, Urine, mg/dl. test results came in as 33.3; one year ago, it was 216.
What a jump!
By any chance, does anyone know what this could mean?
Not a Doctor, but I have watched a lot of Grey's Anatomy, ER, St Elsewhere, etc....
Here is what Mayo has on its website:
https://www.mayoclinic.org/tests-procedures/creatinine-test/about/pac-20384646
-Adult women 0.59 to 1.04 mg/dL is normal (52.2 to 91.9 micromoles/L)
When DH had ESRD, his Creatinine ran at a 4 mg/dL. It's currently staying steady at 1.6 (so slightly higher than the normal for a man, but he is larger than average, 6'4", and the numbers are meant for an average sized adult, or so said the nephrologists.)
If they are talking about your creatinine clearance rate, it depeends on your age. For example, the typical range for someone my age (50-59) would be 62 to 139 mL/min/BSA.
It really all depends on what those numbers are exactly...are they for your clearance rate, your actual creatinine counts, etc.
You'll have to wait for the doc; in the meantime, don't stress yourself out too much.
