Another trip to Orlando, feat Universal and Disney World (Complete)

We didn't sleep in too much, we were doing the first Behind the Seeds tour at 10:30, so we hopped a bus to Epcot to get there a little before opening.

Since the parked opened at 9, and we were using Mike's CM tickets, we went to a FP+ booth first thing and made our selections. Then, since we had some time, hit up Character Spot right as it was opening.

We then headed to The Land to ride the boat before the tour. Then the tour, which I'll put plant pron pics in the next post to save space. We then made our way to Norway for our Princess lunch.

The lunch was good. I had the roast beef(?) sandwich, which had blue cheese and caramalized onions on it. Altogether, the sandwich was amazing. I also at my weight in smoked salmon lol. Here are the girls:

After lunch, we pretty much just walked around a bit. We tried to use our Test Track FP, but the ride was down for a bit (we had rain for a good part of the early afternoon). With the ride down, we were able to use the FP we had for a different ride, so we rode SE. While in the front, we decided to go do my Disney Visa photo.

wd061wdw201413474477891_zps68303dc3.jpeg

After that, we got caught in a really bad downpour, right by the entrance to the WS, right by the stand that happened to sell the cronut sundaes. So, of course we had to get one. And it was amazing!!

After the rain let up, we headed to France to try the new ice cream place. I had the brioche ice cream sandwich and it was pretty good (I should have done chocolate sauce instead of raspberry, tho it could have used a bit more sauce regardless). I was still kinda munchy, so I also hit up some of the food booths, and also got some topiary pics too.

DSC00723_zpsd6423adb.jpg

We then tried to go ride TT again, but the FP line was really long, so we did single rider (turns out the hold up was the car designing room, which is really the most pointless feature of the redesign IMO).

wd007wdw201413474611932_zpsf6eaac06.jpeg

On our way to dinner we saw a rabbit outside TT.

DSC00727_zps004464cd.jpg

As we got back to WS, we saw Duffy, so we went to go get some hugs.

We went to the newer place in Mexico for pavilion and shared the mixed grill platter for two. I was very unimpressed. I wish we had just gotten chips and queso instead. Oh well. We then walked around a bit more then got a pretty good spot for Illuminations.

DSC00743_zpse012fb53.jpg

Illuminations was great, as usual. Then we went back to the hotel and slept. We had decided to make the next day a half day so we could relax more.

What on earth are those :confused3

Looks like a real fun day Robbie.........some lovely pics with characters too :thumbsup2

They are tamarinds. They're popular in Mexican cuisine. They make a drink out of them, and use them in foods. They drink is supposedly sweet and sour at the same time. I've never had it.

A few quick pics I had on my phone to share that I forgot on my phone.

Before and after with the haircut:

The slider I got for my Magic Band:

And I finally, finally got the Grand Marnier/Grey Goose slush from the France pavilion:

Today was my character breakfast at DHS with the Star Wars characters. We got to DHS before opening, even tho my ADR wasn't till 9:30. They let us in early, but it was just gonna end up being me eating. They seated me early too.

Pastries (yes I ate the whole plate myself, mwahahahahaha):

Yogurt parfait:

Blue Milk (it was ok, I'm not a milk fan, but had to try it):

For the entree, I got the steak thing. It was pretty tasty. The Galactic Send-Off dessert was interesting. It was like a strawberry mouse with little Jell-O balls that kinda popped in your mouth.

After breakfast, I was gonna meet up with Mike and go ride the coaster since I gave up the FP for it I had to do the Stars of the Saga show the next day at SWW. Before I called him though, since I was right there, I decided to audition for the American Idol show, just because. After a week of riding rides and such, my voice was tired so I didn't advance that time, oh well.

Since I was wearing the Tower of Terror shirt I got from DCA, I decided to get some pics by the Tower.

After we did Coaster and the movie ride (with the cowboy scene, naturally, cause Robbie likes fire cause fire is pretty), we headed to Epcot to have lunch at Le Cellier for the cheese soup. Epcot pics:

We didn't have a long wait to be seated. We got the soup first, which was wonderful as always. I ended up trying the charcuterie appetizer cause it sounded interesting. I liked most of it. I tried the pate, but I wasn't a fan. Mike got their *******ized version of poutine. For dessert I tried the olive oil cake, which came with this sesame seed thing, and chili pepper ice cream. It was interesting, and like the dessert at Antijitos, it tasted better when eaten together instead of separately.

My only other goal at Epcot was to meet Mulan, since she was the ONLY Disney princess I hadn't met yet.

wd020wdw201413574771176_zpsf9211643.jpeg

We also met Donald in his Mexico garb:
wd023wdw201413574783662_zps7e3e2e5f.jpeg

We then decided to hit up Maelstrom since it didn't have a long wait. Then we walked around to the UK:

I tried calling the phone, doesn't work anymore :(

We then headed out to go relax at the hotel:

We relaxed most of the rest of the day. In the evening Dainan, Jackie and Patrick came over and we walked over to Art of Animation for dinner. I had their version of butter chicken and it was really good. As is the gelato they have. Heck, if I stay at Pop again, I may just go to their food court more than the Pop one (especially since they got rid of my breakfast pizza). Next up is SWW day!

They are tamarinds. They're popular in Mexican cuisine. They make a drink out of them, and use them in foods. They drink is supposedly sweet and sour at the same time. I've never had it.

Oh my goodness.......I never knew that's what they looked like in the raw!

I have a block of it in my kitchen.......you have to soften it to cook it. I make chicken in Tamarind sauce.......I add jalapeños though, but yeah it's kinda sour and sweet......strange taste actually.

I want a grey goose slush.......now!!! That looks gorgeous!

My two would love the SW stuff.......me......not so much. But looks like a lot of fun........not sure about the blue milk

It's only blue cause they add like a blueberry or blue raspberry flavoring to it. The SW dinner buffet had blue milk ice cream that was really good, same flavor but more noticeable in the ice cream.

Yeah, so epic fail on this TR. I'm gonna throw up my remaining pics from SWW. Sorry for loosing track.

Yea, so I may or may not have cried just a bit when I got to meet my favorite SW character, lol.

I really enjoyed all your photos.
I am staying at Cabana Bay in November and can't get enough of daydreaming about the trip. I usually go to Disney and haven't gone to Universal since before they added any of the Wizarding World. So it will be a lot different from what I remember.
Also, I am a major Doctor Who fan, so, I loved to see the Who shirts on your photos.
Thanks for sharing your trip.

Great TR RAPstar!
My family and I are staying at Cabana Bay soon and really looks great from your pics.
