Looking back at the trip I'm really glad that Reagan was into this attraction and that we took the time for him to explore it. He may outgrow this one soon. I also worry with attractions like this that they might go away suddenly at some point. I do have good childhood memories of this movie and we have watched the movie together with Reagan so he knows what it's all about.
This was a fun stop to take in all the details in...

This isn't a show I would have been excited to see if Reagan and my mom didn't push for it. All said and done I'm glad we decided to experience it together.
Reagan was set on choosing a souvenir from the Indiana Jones kiosk!
Reagan did find a sword that he just had to have! It's still something that he enjoys so I consider it a successful choice! In fact one of his friends was playing rough with it this summer and Reagan was almost in tears at the thought of his special sword from Disneyworld getting broken. I was able to intervene and explain and all ended well. It's a treasure!
Where did we head next? Here's a hint..... We had to pass the hat to get there.

When we finished at the Great Movie Ride it was raining a bit which made it seem like a perfect time to head to the Animation Building...
When we entered we spotted Mr. Incredible and Frozone right away and got in line....
Reagan's sillies were overflowing a bit....
I guess when you're full of sillies sometimes you decide to meditate...
I thought their autograph podium was a good idea!
Before long it was our turn. Reagan visited with Mr. Incredible and asked for his autograph....
And we had a moment to visit with Frozone....
all together....
Reagan checked out some of the activity stations around the Animation Building....
Our next mission was meeting Mickey in his sorcerer's costume!
Reagan greeted Mickey with a BIG hug!
We decided to test our drawing skills in the Animation Academy next. I was excited for Reagan to try this because he loves to draw...
This session we would be drawing Daisy!
It turns out that Reagan is a perfectionist (like his mommy) and when his drawing wasn't turning out as well as he wanted it to it made him feel a bit upset. Poor guy...

After our drawing class Reagan was feeling really, really hungry. We set out to find him a bite to eat.
Sites along the way....
We decided dropping anchor for a snack was an offer too good to pass up...
We chose the Dockside Diner...
Reagan found a seat for us while I ordered...
We tried their pretzel dog which did mention mustard on the order sign but I figured it was something we'd put on ourselves. It comes with it already inside the pretzel. This wasn't a problem for me but it was a bit too strong of a mustard taste for Reagan. We ended up finding him some popcorn after lunch. Luckily we had an ADR not too much later. Any guesses where?
It rained a bit while we ate. The table was covered with an umbrella and we also had an umbrella along so it wasn't a wash out. Looking back at the Diner from our table...
We weren't quite done in the Animation Building. We were still hoping to meet Wralph and Venelope so we headed back that direction as Reagan ate his popcorn. We saw their photo spot earlier but they were on break. Their spot is cute though and we were excited to meet them.
Thankfully when we got back into the Animation building Wralph and Venelope were ready to greet so we got in line...
This creepy guy was up in the corner overlooking the line...

With the Wralph and Venelope mission accomplished we headed back out. Almost immediately we came across The Voyage of the Little Mermaid show so we got in line there...
The décor in the waiting area was awesome in usual Disney style...
After a short wait we were inside for the show!
Much of the show is bright show with a black light type effect...
And they lived happily ever after....
This was the first time I saw the show and I liked it.

When we were done watching the Voyage of the Little Mermaid it was raining a bit again so we quickly made our way over into Pixar Place and ducked into Toy Story Midway Mania. We had been on the similar ride in Disney's California Adventure but this was our first time to ride here. We knew we would love it! AND we had a Fast Pass! YaY!
The queue details get me everytime!

We're usually more eat along the way tour types rather than ADR types but I was intrigued by the Sci-Fi Dine In Theater so I went ahead with a reservation there.
I'm not sure how excited my mom and Reagan were for this but when it came time for the reservation it was raining pretty hard out and a place to duck in, keep dry and relax for awhile was welcomed.
The signage where you wait for your table was entertaining....
Even with a reservation the wait was still about 30 minutes. Maybe many had ducked in at once due to the rain....
We were able to look over the menu while we waited....
This way to your car...
Once we were in I decided it was even cooler than I anticipated!
We were seated in a car about 3/4 of the way back...
Our waiter was great!
I love how the back of the restaurant and serving area is set up like a Drive In snack bar!
Reagan and Nanny in our car. My seat was the empty one up front next to Reagan...
Duffy found a comfy spot on the car's dash / table...
The scene very much has a hills of California feel...

I had the spinach artichoke dip. I had been looking forward to it after reading about it on others trip reports. I loved it. Since then I've tracked down a Disney recipe for it and made it at home.
My mom ordered a side salad because she wasn't very hungry but they ended up bringing her the Area 51 salad. It was full of shrimp and so yummy. She couldn't eat most of it but I enjoyed her left overs immensely.
Ice Cream for Reagan! He also had some chicken and fries which are always a hit with him.
It was still a little wet when we left but the rain had stopped for a bit!
It was about 4pm at this point and my mom and Reagan were eager to get to the hotel and check in. I still had park left to cover so I sent them on their way to All Star Music for check in and I told them I'd take the bus over to join them after Fantasmic. A bit of solo touring coming up....

Since I was not in the park solo meeting Minnie moved right to the top of my list! Her queue was so great. One movie poster was better than the next...
When I got into Minnie's dressing room I thought it was so adorable!
And her polka dots have sparkles!
On those poor old ears, that are now buried at sea on POTC in Paris, the bow was always wonky. We were trying to fix it....
Finally we were ready to pose...

Before leaving the animation building I looked around just a bit more. I love how they have this animator's desk displayed...
There was a Frozen display in the case....
And there was a animator's talk about to begin so I sat down for that....
We had so much fun drawing earlier in the day I decided to take another class....

I had some time before Fantasmic still so I walked the park and took some more of it in....

It was just about time to start thinking about finding a seat for Fantasmic. Unfortunately, it started to sprinkle some around this time. Everyone was breaking out the ponchos...
I kept my fingers crossed that the bad weather would pass and made my way into the Amphitheater...
Flags along the way in....
The rain continued as I sat and waited for the show to begin and I made the required WDW poncho purchase. This made sitting and waiting in the rain much more enjoyable. I still had everything crossed and was hoping that the show would still go on. The wait paid off and when it came time Mickey started the show! YaY!!
The float with Belle and the Beast...
Prince Eric and the Little Mermaid...
Snow White and Prince Charming...
Maleficent Dragon....
Mickey saves the day!
And they all lived happily ever after. This ship gives IASW some competition for the "Happiest Cruise that Ever Sailed" title.
Following Fantasmic I was in the mood to browse through some of the shops....

I just had one more thing to accomplish before leaving DHS for the night.... One Man's Dream.
This museum of sorts is such a treat for any Disney fan. For me it's like a great big three dimensional scrapbook. I love it!
Can you imagine having seen these moments in person!? What a treat that would have been!
The miniature scenes are adorable!

This is a tiny replica of a bronze statue and fountain at Disneyland Hong Kong. It's one of the first things you see as you approach to enter and I have fond memories of it as well!
Plans for Shanghai Disney.... I have grand dreams of getting there someday..
I love the antique / vintage merchandise...
At this point I made my way out of the park and caught a bus over to All Star Music. My mom and I had sent texts through the evening so I knew they had arrived and got settled in. I was excited to see the resort. More from there in the next post.....

The bus ride from Animal Kingdom to All Star Music was quick and easy. Before I knew it I was approaching this...
And because I hadn't already spent enough time shopping tonight at DHS I checked out Maestro Mickeys, the gift shop at All Star Music...
My mom had stopped for check in earlier but I stopped to finalize all...
After check in I made my way towards our room and photographed the sights along the way.
Intermission Food Court was still in full swing...

In my usual Disney style I slept fast and was back up early. My mission this morning was to finish exploring the All Star Resorts. I picked back up where I left off at All Star Music in the Country section.....

The All Star Resorts all sort of blend into one another and I found myself leaving the Music Resort and entering Movies at the Mighty Duck's pool. I liked how they had the female/ male restrooms labeled with Donalds / Daisies. Cute, right!?

The All Star Resorts all sort of blend into one another and I found myself leaving the Music Resort and entering Movies at the Mighty Duck's pool. I liked how they had the female/ male restrooms labeled with Donalds / Daisies. Cute, right!?

The next section of All Star Movies that I explored was the Toy Story Area.
The staircases in this section were housed in buckets of Toy Soldiers....

My adventure continued into the All Star Sports Resort.
This section had Coca-Cola cups housing it's staircases...
While exploring I spotted an armadillo and then I began to chase it into the trees trying to get a picture!
Goofy at the baseball pool....
Home Run Hotel...
Huey, Dewey and Louie...
Onto Football...
staircases here were within the footballs...
In the watersports area the staircases were inside lifeguard stands...
The poolside locker rooms....
Surfing and Sailing!
Tennis...
Basketball...
Cheerleading...
All Star Sports Lobby...
I was amused that they were showing a cartoon in the lobby where Pluto was playing with an armadillo...
Aren't these the best luggage carts ever!?!

This was the last day of our trip but we were trying not to think of that until later in the day. For now we had one more park to concentrate on. My mom decided to take it a little slower this morning and join us at Animal Kingdom a little later. Just Reagan and I set off to explore. Reagan and I took the bus which had us there in no time. My mom brought the car later.
Our first plan was to go on safari. We took in the sights along the way....
Although we would have loved it if Nanny was with us this morning, Reagan and I were both enjoyed the time with just the two of us as well.
We squeezed in a few photopass photos on the way to the safari....
Imagine our surprise when we were innocently having our picture taken as Stich burst out of the sidewalk!
I love this one of Reagan and Simba!
So cute!
This stack of vintage suitcases caught my eye!
Some inspiration from Walt along the way...
Entering Africa...
finding our way....
And we've reached our destination...
I always appreciate a good photography tip....
While we waited for our safari vehicle to arrive I took in the surrounding queue details...
Here comes our ride!
We're well stocked for a safari!
