2012 Free Dining Watch and Wait HERE

When we went in 2010, I was preparing to book a bounce-back offer for the following year. However, WEEKS before we went, Disney pulled an un precidented act and OFFERED Free Dining for the following year to the general public.... No need to book bounce-back!!!
Last year, wasn't planning on returning so soon, so didn't even think about booking bounce-back.... So now waiting..

Moral of the story... Disney plays by their own rules, so I for one will be watching very closely of Thu...

Not true. We went on a FD pin last year June 11-16th. I received the pin in my email after I booked last Febuary. I actually received a 2nd FD pin via email in April, but it was for dates later in the year.

We are talking about GENERAL PUBLIC free dining offers, not pin codes offers. Pin codes offers can be sent out at any time for any time frame, but they are name-specific, non-transferrable and have absolutely nothing to do with General Public Free Dining offers, dates or release dates.

According to Mousesavers these are the past free dining dates and release dates and this is what people need to go by to try to plan around to try to book to take an advantage of a general public free dining discounts:

In Canada we had Free Dining also offered from August 19 - September 29, 2012.
The booking window was beginning of August 2011 --> Mid December 2011.

Those are U.S. free dining booking dates from the Mousesavers site. The original person I quoted was specifically asking about general public free dining offers for June in the past. The other poster said they had received a free dining offer in June previously and I stated that there were no general public free dining dates for mid-June, ever. If you are Canandian you can book U.K. offers and/or U.S. offers and the U.K. offers, as with email pin codes, are usually quite different and don't really have any baring on U.S. general public free dining offers. I do know that in the past the U.K. offers not only had different dates and release dates, but different meals and terms under the plans. I don't know if your offer was part of a U.K. offer or just for Canadians, but I don't think Mousesavers would put the Canadian/U.K. FD dates with the historic U.S. offers.

FWIW I contacted my Disney Visa Customer Service department to see if they had any information on upcoming Free Dining offers. They said no.
Historically we would get the Free Dining offer a few days in advance of public release.

Disney Visa will not give you any info! If you have a card, try calling. I switched my res from Pop Century to All Star Sports today, with Free Dining (then upgraded to the Regular DP from QS) for 2 adults, 6 day hoppers for Sept 12-18.

Price went from $1947 originally (paying OOP for regular DP) to $1494 with the promos

The CM booking for me though said AS-Sports was the only value hotel she could pull up for the offer, nothing available for Pop. May want to keep trying, plus the "general public" offer is supposed to be available on Monday.
