I posted this on the main MNSSHP thread a few days ago when I found this group and joined, but it was late and I think it was missed by many so I didnt get a whole lot of response, so I thought I might post it here to get advice as well but I know there are no itinerary’s being reviewed at this time. Been going to Disney all my life but we just joined DVC in June and bought APs. This is our first DVC stay and first MNSSHP so anyone that has any advice it is greatly welcomed. Myself, DH and DD (12 months) are celebrating her 1st birthday at Disney and are attending the 9/25 Party (Tickets already purchased) FYI our daughter is a trouper and will nap on us when she needs to sleep and will stay up with us. We will also sleep in the next morning. Hopefully I can track our time while there and report back for others to learn for future parties. This is also our first day and will be there until the 30th incase of rain.

Priorities

Characters: 7 Dwarfs, Minnie, Mickey
Dance Partys: Disney Jr Jam, Monsters Ball
Enterainment: Headless Horseman, Boo to You, Hocus Pocus, Hallowishes
Rides: 7DMT, Space Mountain
Shopping/Snacks
Magic Shots

Secondary Priorities

Characters: Jack Sparrow, Moana, Cruella, Jafar, Abu, Genie (in order of importance)
Dance Partys: Zootopia Party
Rides: Haunted Mansion, Pirates

We will ToT as we see things but it is not a huge priority

10:30 boat from WL to Contemporary
11:10 - 1:10 Chef Mickey for Lunch
1:30 – 2:00 ticket sales to activate Annual Passes and get MNSSHP tickets
2:00 - 2:30 Pictures/Parade
2:30 - 2:45 Pick up Sorcerers Card if available at fire station
2:45 - 3:05 FP Winnie the Pooh (FP is from 2:05-3:05 If we miss not a big deal)
3:20 – 3:45 Peter Pan Flight (FP 3:20-4:20)
3:45 – 4:20 Shop/Snacks/Pictures
4:20 - 4:50 Big Thunder (FP 4:20-5:20 we will each ride individually but both have FPs, if we need to miss we can, have FP on another day)
5:00 – 7:00 TAG TEAM 7 Dwarfs Line while one gets food, eat dinner while in line/Shopping at Big top/Possible 7DMT depending on line
7:00-7:45 TAG TEAM Minnie/7DMT

This is where I need help would you do rides or characters the last hour and a half of the party from secondary list or am I too jammed and need to space out some of the stuff before the Parade and Fireworks. Or should I skip first parade and do everything during first parade and catch the 10:45 Hocus Pocus and 11:15 Parade?

Questions-As a DVC Member will we get our band upon entering at 2:00 or will we pick it up at sales when we activate our AP tickets? How early can we get the sorcerers card? Is Child Swap available or do we each have to stand in the whole line? What time do magic shots start and end?

No worries! There’s no fixed and timed itinerary for the party on the 28th mostly because we decided probably the week before last!

It’s my friend’s first time during this time of the year and he’s a tiny bit excited! I even tried to convince him otherwise as we have a reservation for dinner at Cali Grill but he is a force of nature when he wants something.

We’ll miss valuable party time on the 28th, leaving at 9pm for our reservation at 9:30pm, so our focus are classic but regular characters, Magic Shots, merchandise and candy. Everything else will be done on the 30th.

It has been posted by many year after year they have received some sort of compensation. I can confirm I have received refunds two years in a row without even asking for them. It doesn't matter who on the DIS Boards opposes it, it's between you and Disney period.

I will say during a party last year it literally poured through majority of the party, everything was delayed, a lot of confusion and no direction from Disney. Many received park hoppers, were able to exchange party dates, given credit on their MDE account for a future party and some received refunds. There was an Itinerary Peep who received nothing. She left the party, drove home and called. She was denied a refund, she called the next day and was denied again. I don't know why she didn't get a refund when so many did nor do I know what time she left the party which could have been the determining factor. Leaving a party at 10pm - midnight and thinking you'll get something for your trouble doesn't sound right. That's no different than going to a restaurant eating 3/4 of your meal and expecting the waiter to take it off your bill.

Whatever you choose to do, please, please, please talk to the CM's with the respect and courtesy they deserve.

I would like to talk to someone about the crowding/ lack of control during the parade. I’m not doing so for a refund, but I think they should know about it. Would you be able to direct me to who would be best to contact for that? Just general Disney customer service?

If you can go tonight I would for the weather alone! It's going to be perfect!

EDIT: If wondering about crowds, I can't answer that. To me if it's a nice night vs attending a hot party I'd go with the cooler temps in a heartbeat! People generally cannot handle the heat which can add misery to their party.

Just an FYI- I updated my 10/9- we decided that we were going to do Chef Mickeys later and just enter with MNSSHP tickets. 10/9 will be more relaxed as we are getting our biggest must dos done 10/8(hopefully)

*Note: 10:20-11:20 Seven Dwarves - Ask CM how long the wait is, subtract 15 minutes then divide the time in half.

Example, if the CM states 2 hours - Then subtract 15 minutes (you all must be together 15 minutes before your turn). = 1hr 45 minutes divide by two = which means each group has 45 minutes to Trick or Treat, Magic Shots, Shopping, etc.

Parade on Main Street, sit in the red circle, then when the parade is over use this path (red dots) to get into Tomorrowland.

Have a fun trip and please, please let us know about your character experience. We've seen plenty of reports regarding rides but the character time frames are what help us plan. Thanks!
