Disneyland Half Marathon 2024

Just read the details of the D23 studio tour and it's 2.5 hours! I'll be cutting it close to get to TJs before 2, so whomever gets there first, stake out a spot for us please! I'll join as soon as I can.

Also I hate to be that person but can someone please post the photo pass code. I can’t seem to remember where it is in the guide. And while I shouldn’t have photos yet (wheelchairs have to be manually linked) I still want to get ir

Someone already shared the link, but also adding for others that all the codes are on the back of our bibs. Just need to add bib number of course 😁

Well I just went to check my Facebook as I’m finishing packing up my room. And well I got a surprise. Normally RDs race photo event is from the start of A. So we’re usually not in these photos.

But boom here we are. (I’m on the far left in the orange). This was actually a few minute before. Only reason I know it was when it was because me and another girl dropped back right after the anthem finished to let two of the faster chairs take a place in the first row. IMG_5911.jpeg

So we had my family booked on two different flights to give multiple options on getting out ahead of the storm and they were both cancelled. I've been on the phone and online chatting with agents since I got back to my hotel trying to confirm they still have seats on their connecting flight. They hopped in car and started driving to MSP which is about three hours. The good news is they have plenty of time to take the drive slow to get over there. The bad news is the roads are not going to be ideal for them for about half of the drive as it stands now. Hopefully the further west the get the more it'll clear.

Had a lot of fun today, looking forward to tomorrow. Still bummed I didn’t get the bag that I wanted but it’s probably for the best. Hope everyone enjoys their park time/relaxing/travel today!

One more dislike to add: they told everyone to arrive early for security, then held the whole line until 4:10 when they finally opened the DL gates. If you got there early enough, the line was looped inside, past security. Hearing the CM chatter, it legit sounded like some had no idea a race was planned today!
I heard one of the security CMs at the S Harbor entrance saying that they weren't expecting thjs many people. We were looped around right by the screening area (we managed to get through before the cutoff) so we heard a lot of security chatter.

Okay, wait. Hold on. They are hosting a race. For which people registered well in advance. And they...somehow didn't know how many people would be there? 🤨

Newbie here: My husband will participate in the 10K on Saturday and the Half-Marathon on Sunday. I want to be able to buy pictures of him running via PhotoPass. Does he need to do anything to activate PhotoPass for the races? Where do I go to find the pictures of him online? I have his bib numbers saved.

If this was already addressed via a tutorial for newbies/dummies, please link me!

(Note that I did see the link below but it doesn't comprehend to me)

I think they were expecting people to go through the security by the DTD/Hotel side vs the esplanade side if I’m reading the thread right

I suspect “Disneyland” and RunDisney didn’t really coordinate much. I think this won’t be the first struggle with this…

I wonder if they’ve considered onsite runners coming back through security after the races.

When we asked security at the Harbor gate at yoga, they said the gate at Harbor would open at 3:30am on Friday while waiting for the gate to open at 3am and we confirmed that gate. So dunno what happened :confused3

At least the security people we had during yoga were expecting it for Friday, but clearly they were not assigned to that gate today 😂

I got there around 3:50 and security was open, we got through before they closed it. My friend who went in through downtown disney said it was smooth - I feel like they were expecting a more even distribution and ended up with more people on Harbor.

If you are at Disneyland today- mobile order the raspberry macaroon from jolly holiday. Not the new cherry one- scroll down. It sells out so mobile order it for later. You’re welcome.
I ordered one too.

My daughter dropped my phone and broke it this morning 🤦‍♀️ The bottom corner of the screen had the tiniest of cracks, but the entire screen was a lovely shade green. Goofy’s Kitchen was able to change my brunch to an early breakfast and we are on our way back from getting the phone fixed. Didn’t lose too much of our day, but not sure I’ll make it to the meet up.
