I can't be the only one...

OMG I have been waiting for someone on here to say it! My DH and I detest the in-park Joffrey's. I've tried the Shakin Jamaican, iced, hot, it's all garbage to our tastebuds. I find the in-room and resort dining versions passable but we actively crack jokes at home about how bad Joffrey's is. I will even order a hot espresso in the middle of summer just to be able to down the caffeine faster and without tasting it too much. I have to wonder if it's the FL water mucking up the beans.

I've heard whatever came before Joffrey's was even worse, so I guess I shouldn't be complaining!

You shlep a coffeemaker with you on vacation? Wow. That's dedication.

I once was reading the list of accepted carry on items on the TSA website, and they mentioned an espresso machine. I wondered who in the world would be flying with a whole espresso machine and would just carry it on with them. Now, I have my answer; it's you.
I drive to WDW the majority of the time so I pile the coffee maker in the trunk and I'm all set for good coffee ☕

Aeropress makes a great traveling coffee system

Packs real easy and just needs heated water

My one son is a coffee hobbyist. We now have this in the house-

Wow I must say it makes a killer espresso. Unbelievable really.

It comes in a caryying case and I’m wondering if he’s gonna take it to WDW with us lol.

I only drink coffee with lots of cream and sugar, so it all tastes the same to me too. This is also why I don't drink it regularly, as it's basically a dessert at that point. I like coffee flavor, but not straight up coffee.

My husband calls what I drink Sugar in a cup, love my flavored lattes!

Starbucks espresso is fine but their regular coffee is too acidic.
My favorite coffee is Coffeebean. Joffrey's is always super weak in taste so not my favorite either.

I miss the Nescafe.
The only good thing about Nescafe was if you were drinking it, you must be at WDW. No way would anyone drink that stuff under any other circumstances. It was made from a concentrated syrup and mixed with hot water. But I can see someone being oddly nostalgic about drinking the stuff on Disney trips. Some people recall enjoying eating paste in grade school.

Say what you will about Joffrey's, at least it's actually coffee...like from coffee beans??? The only coffee I drink at WDW is from the coffee maker in the room, so it's Joffrey's.

Pro Tip: I usually make about half of the carafe with the pre-measured filter packs. It's too weak to brew the full pot.

I love coffee! Can’t live without it. But here’s my own unpopular opinion……

It all tastes the same to me. :)
I can’t tell the difference between brands. It’s all good. :drinking1
You are my people. Put some brown stuff in a coffee mug, add some sugar and creamer and I'll drink it.
DH, however, is very picky and says I make a terrible cup of coffee (probably because it all tastes the same to me). He won't let me make coffee for him.

Yes! It’s not bad if you don’t add too much water. So funny, the packet says makes 4 to 12 cups of coffee. Doesn’t change the amount of grinds used, just add more water and maybe even some more water 🤣

WOW! Look at that. We have a few interesting gadgets including an ibrik for making Turkish coffee. How much room on the counter does it take?

I'll take a look at an aero press. We are big into Nespresso so we have 2 machines at home and I have a small espresso machine on my desk at work.

Maybe that's why I miss it. When I was in grad school, I'd finish my shift at Magic Kingdom Parking and then head over to the Belle Vue Lounge at Boardwalk to write my doctoral dissertation. Since I needed to keep sharp, I rarely drank bourbon while writing (note I said rarely) but usually drank the Nescafe. Perhaps it's just pure nostalgia.

I like Joffrey's, I like Starbucks, I pretty much like all coffee.

I understand when traveling everything isn't the same as it is at home.

Restaurants don't make fried potatoes the same way I do, but, I'm not going to bring my potatoes with me and ask them to warm them up.

I don't bring my own coffee, coffee maker, pillow, mattress, etc.

The coffee I drink at a few different locations are going to be different than my favorite coffee, I guess, and that's okay.

Agreed, I got an iced coffee at Boma and it was AWFUL thought maybe it was just a fluke. Later in the trip I got a Shakin Jamaican and it was so bad I couldn’t drink it. My husband likes black coffee and he couldn’t drink it either, ended up tossing the whole thing. It’s so acidic tasting.

You know what was worse than Joffrey's? When they had all the remote locations shut down during Covid. You had to go to Disney Springs or the parks. Talk about inconvenient.
