They are saying now that the new system is giving them some problemsI'm still on hold. Do we have prices yet?
A deluxe room at DL Hotel runs around that same price for that time of year, btw. Not really shocking. Ive never stayed at any DLR hotel for less than $400/nt, even with discounts.
Yikes. That's a bit more than Riviera$655.20 including tax for a duo studio for sep 28
$872.82 including tax for a deluxe studio for oct 15
But that studio is so tiny! and for two people! lolA deluxe room at DL Hotel runs around that same price for that time of year, btw. Not really shocking. Ive never stayed at any DLR hotel for less than $400/nt, even with discounts.
Yeah, it took a long time just to get an idea of pricing for random dates (booking starting on December 31st, for example). I asked the CM if he had any idea if they'd extend the booking window. He said they weren't informed of anything, but based on "how busy today was" it's possible. They are saying now that the new system is giving them some problems
It is not looking good for our points chart lolYikes. That's a bit more than Riviera
A better comparison, though, would be too DLH cash rooms for the same nights.
I priced DLH yesterday for 10/12-10/15 and cost was $656 per night pretax. Sooooo not interested in booking VDH for cash.$655.20 including tax for a duo studio for sep 28
$872.82 including tax for a deluxe studio for oct 15
I was being facetious. I live 15 minutes from DLR, and have stayed at the hotel dozens of times, and the number really doesn’t surprise me either. I’ve been waiting with some amusement to see the reactions to the cost (posted a popcorn gif earlier).A deluxe room at DL Hotel runs around that same price for that time of year, btw. It’s probably also this busy because there is no information out besides “call today”.Yeah, it took a long time just to get an idea of pricing for random dates (booking starting on December 31st, for example). Wow! If you live nearby than you're up awfully early just to watch reactions. Are you trying to get a resi?I was being facetious. We have offices in Florida, so I usually get up around 6am or so to catch early emails.Wow! If you live nearby than you're up awfully early just to watch reactions. Are you trying to get a resi?
OK, so if there are different categories for views for cash bookings, do we think there will be different categories for DVC points?Ok here are all the prices I got (all including tax), super nice CM and we were laughing and crying together at these prices:
Duo studio
$655.20 on sep 28
$551 on oct 15
Standard studio
$872.82 on oct 15
1 bedroom preferred view (not showing her an option for standard view)
$2812.68 for two nights 11/7-11/9
2 bedroom preferred view (not showing her an option for standard view)
$4090.32 for two nights 11/7-11/9
Grand villa
$9376.38 for two nights 11/7-9 (not showing her an option for standard view)
Cancellation policy still like normal rooms, 5 days before check-in

That is something I have pointed out before. If they make these rooms so much more than the regular hotel, I feel like it will diminish the product of DLH rooms. They are bigger and can sleep more than the VHD studio. It is just the newness factor they are charging forFor comparison:
Oct 15:
GCH Standard view hotel room: $981.63
GCH 1 Bedroom suite: $2314.26
GCH 2 Bedroom suite: $2747.16
GCH 3 Bedroom suite: $3279.51
GCH Arroyo suite: $7809.75
DLH Standard view hotel room: $767.52
DLH Deluxe view hotel room: $829.53
DLH Premium view hotel room: $871.65
DLH Premium DTD view hotel room: $921.96
I do see a lot of wealthier fans booking these rooms, but like you said, we thought the same for the star wars hotel. I am looking at these prices and think how much more can they go? I thought Iger was saying they know they are over pricing their productsThese are Four Seasons Hawaiian islands prices. If it’s indicative of points charts then I’ll stick with cash discount rates when available. Idk if this member booking opportunity is to create a false impression of demand but it seems like it’s headed for the same outcome as the Star Wars Hotel. I don’t see any sustainable demand at these rates. Buying dvc has to pencil out as a savings.
