For those who are running tomorrow and were cold today, there is a booth at the expo call shredable shells selling these awesome lightweight zip up shirts (warm as a sweatshirt) for $10 and gloves for $5

Just picked up my bib for the marathon - 5XX, 1:52:51 HM, corral A. So it does seem like they just combined the expected first two POT groups.

The conventional wisdom is “no they don’t sell day of, but you might be able to add 1 person to a party that already has tickets“.

We had to xfer our Xmas Party tickets to the MK AH on Monday because our flights were canceled due to Hurricane Nicole in November. I do think they ended up selling day of tickets on that night, because certainly there were probably a TON of people who had to cancel/postpone.

Good luck! It can’t hurt to try.

I was able to get tickets to HS AH for this pst Wednesday night before the 5k but the Magic Kingdom tickets for 1/9 sold out before I could get them (decided to stay longer after Marathon) anyone want to adopt me as a +1 ? Actually been watching to see if anyone selling one. So far no luck!

I had hoped to make it to the HH meetup this afternoon but have decided I need to ice my foot so it will hopefully make it through the half tomorrow. I’ll definitely be at the pre-race meetup tomorrow morning though… wearing these shorts and probably a look of sheer terror.

This might be a problem. My daughter is wearing a Princess Leia running dress. Did you feel like the long sleeves were necessary once you started running or did you possibly feel like you could have run in a tank top?

I had on lightweight leggings and a short sleeve with a throwaway hoodie. I was totally fine before and during. It did get a little chilly afterwards as the temps dropped and it was still dark. Tomorrow I have leggings and a light short sleeve. I brought arm sleeves I could add on but I'm seriously considering just running in my HM race shirt. The shirt I brought is super lightweight and I can always push the sleeves up if I get warm. Decisions, decisions.

Do you think that you would have been ok with only a mylar blanket instead of the throw away layers?

I wore full length leggings and a tank and arm sleeves and was fine. Had a long sleeve tshirt that I ditched after the start.

So, we are at the airport waiting to board our flight to Orlando, and my husband realizes he has forgotten to pack his running shoes!! For those that have been to the expo, are there decent running shoes for purchase, or would we be better off Ubering to and from a running shoe store in Orlando?

We did “store pick up” at the springs fit2run for a pair of shoes for DH since none our local stores at home carried the shoe he wanted in his size and shipping was going to take until Thursday and we landed on Monday. Their website is a little weird, but it tells you if they have it in stock, which location, and how many pairs.

Ohhh Herc AND Meg pre-marathon?! I might be late to the meetup that day!

Yeppppp. Getting that list this morning made me switch my costumes for the next two days. Moana was supposed to be my marathon outfit (I know, off “theme” but come on, How Far I’ll Go!!) and Meg was supposed to be my half outfit. Definitely doing Meg on Sunday now because I can’t miss that opportunity.

Also, really looking forward to hopefully shorter lines the next two days. Because I was with my mom yesterday, we were walking so only got Mushu. I stopped for a couple today but spent so much time in line for Lumiere that the balloon ladies who had been 1.5/2 miles behind me finished 5 minutes after me.

I was wearing a skirt and tank top today (with throwaway sweats and hoodie) and was fine until getting off the bus after the race. I was surprised they weren’t handing out Mylar blankets. Might have to bring my own and keep it in my pocket tomorrow for just in case

Anyone know if there is a sporting goods store nearby? The family didn’t prepare for the cold mornings and they are taking about trying to find some cold weather gear. Been trying to search online but the coverage in the parks is terrible.
