Edit: MK went in minutes. Wow.

December plans so far.......

December 9th arrival from Toronto @ 11 pm. Stay at Hyatt Regency MCO.
December 10th ~ check in to Boulder Ridge. Brunch at Raglan Road. Christmas Tree trail at Disney Springs. Geyser Point and/or Territory Lounge in the evening.
December 11th ~ Steakhouse 71 breakfast. Monorail resort hopping for Christmas decor. Late lunch at Geyser Point. MVMCP!
December 12th ~ Epcot day for Festival of the Holidays! Candlelight Processional dinner with Disboards friends at Biergarten. Josh Gad is our narrator. :)
December 13th ~ Breakfast at Whispering Canyon. Fly home today. :(
Your last few days mirror mine. MVMCP Dec 11, Epcot Dec 12, Whispering Canyon breakfast Dec 13, fly home! I could have gotten Biergarten lunch for CP, thought seriously about it, but would have had to book for 3 and modify as I will be solo, in the end decided against. May do the Regal Eagle day-of CP dining. I was hoping to get Boma for breakfast on Dec 13 which is my resort hopping for decorations day, but only really early times showed up. So, WC at 11:15 it is!

Planning my strategy for Christmas to New Years week. Dining Reservations go live on Tuesday. Staying a full 7 nights in the same resort from 12/24 to 12/31 - so here's hoping for some hard to get rezs at the end of that week!
We are checking in 12/28 at the Poly. It’s probably next to impossible to get anything on 12/31.

Good luck and do post back on availability.

The most annoying thing about planning 60 day out Restaurant reservations for a major holiday week - the actual park hours aren't released yet. So I don't know what time the parks will actually open/close, or when Fireworks/parades will be. :(

Tough interaction with a CM last night. I booked the Holiday Sleigh Ride Tuesday and it appeared right away in MDE. Then, last night it disappeared. My DH suggested I book it again just in case it somehow got canceled. So, I booked same date/same time and that one never appeared in MDE either (still hasn't). I called to straighten it out and the CM told me "recreation doesn't appear in MDE"...I tried explaining that it did cuz I saw it there all week. She kept saying "I'm trying to explain to you, it won't appear in MDE." She would NOT listen to the fact that I saw it all week and that my confirmation says "see in your itinerary." Then, I asked to be transferred, she ignored me and said I've canceled the reservation you made on Tuesday and refunded your money....Um...didn't ask her to do that....then she started to go through my plans and offered to cancel all my reservations (candlelight processional, Behind the Seeds, dining)...Yikes! I said "No please don't do that!" Now I'm obsessively checking all my hard fought reservations. Hopefully the one I made last night eventually shows up.

12/14-12/16 POR
12/16-12/18 Swan
12/18-12/23 Hard Rock

I booked the Swan back in June, then we decided recently to add two nights to the trip but Swan had no availability. I've been looking every day for a couple of weeks, nothing, so I took POR just to make sure I had something.

Trying to decide if I should try for Akerhaus for our Epcot day. We already have Hollywood and Vine so I probably don't need two character meals but... ;);)

Unfortunately your experience is not unique. They get antsy if you have many reservations. I’ve had similar experiences. Maybe close out and try logging in. Sometimes that helps show reservations.

Yes. And then CM get angry if we have multiple bookings. They drop new hours on us a week or two before and make changes to all sorts of scheduled activities.

Since we break mid day, we book dinner at 5 pm and then head to the parks.

Be careful with changes to resorts. I read reports that dining gets automatically cancelled if you cancel your resort now.

We were discussing this on another thread (see post 43):

even if the Swan becomes available I'm not paying over $500 a night. I'll stick to my $268 at POR! :rotfl:I got the Swan back in June for $278 a night. I looked yesterday and the rates for dates near mine are over $500 a night. Crazy, but it's good to know that my dining could get canceled.

I also ordered two more Magicband+, I'm not sure I even liked my other two that much but they had so many more new ones that were cute. I'm the type of guest Disney loves. I have major FOMO when it comes to Disney.

It was very nerve-wracking!

That sounds like an isolated incident to me, likely done by a cast member. I think we'd be hearing ALL about it if it were happening automatically by Disney software.
It was automatically done (weather by a CM or IT doesn’t matter) when the resort reservation was cancelled. The person said they could see the reservations and tried to manually cancel (but couldn’t) and then called a CM.

A room at AOA is $711. We booked Polynesian ($943) instead.

And yes, we did order MB+. I charged and updated them (they don’t come 60% charged btw). I spent several hours charging and then updating them. They don’t seem waterproof. We are going to need to take a extension with multiple ports.

My husband’s MB+ drained down so fast on our last trip in September even though I had charged it the night before. Luckily for him he’s getting a new one! I didn’t tell him because he would say why would you order me another one? But it’s Tower of terror? You’re favorite ride! 😂😂

Well I checked all of my email confirmations on dining and none of them say the confirmed reservation is contingent upon my keeping the corresponding resort reservation. And regardless of what MDE says I have the emails. I think this was a rogue CM. Maybe Disney has plans to move to doing this across the board, but if that had already happened we would definitely be hearing about it from more than 1 person. Just my 2 cents, I don't think people need to be worried about this.
