Donald and Friends in Dino Costumes Returning, New Flotilla Debuting This Weekend at Disney’s Animal Kingdom​

Disney has just announced that more character encounters are coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom this weekend.
On September 4, Donald, Daisy, Chip, and Dale from Donald’s Dino-Bash! will return in their dinosaur outfits.

Also on September 4, a new “Adventure Flotilla” featuring Launchpad McQuack and Scrooge McDuck or Russell and Dug from “Up” will sail down Discovery River.

Walt Disney World Offering Cast Members 35% Discount on Select Memory Maker Packages​

Disney PhotoPass Service is offering a 35% discount for Active Florida Site Employees, Retirees, Crew Members, and Imagineers on Memory Maker One Day and Memory Maker, which include unlimited downloads of your Disney PhotoPass photos and videos.

Guests who purchase either package can also enjoy one-of-a-kind photo opportunities, Magic Shots, and attraction photos. With Memory Maker, you don’t have to decide which of your photos you want to keep. You’ll get them all—to share now and cherish forever.

Interested Cast members should simply visit a Walt Disney World Theme Park ticket window, or Guest Relations location (including Guest Relations at Disney Springs) and present their Company-issued ID to receive the discount.

Rarely seen TRON Lightcycle Run marketing art offers new perspective on the attraction's main entrance area​

A rarely seen piece of marketing art by Chris Gardener offers a much better look at the entrance area and how the Walt Disney World railroad passes through the attraction.



The concrete that we now see under construction will form the entrance pathways as seen in the art above.

New Disney Parks Haunted Mansion & Pirates TikTok Text-to-Speech Voices

Disney has announced that they have teamed up with TikTok to create new text-to-speech voices. Here’s the announcement:

Have you heard? Voices known to make a Disney Parks fan’s ears tingle with delight have just been added to TikTok’s popular text-to-speech feature! That’s right, we’ve teamed up with our friends at TikTok to help you personalize your on-screen text with official character voices inspired by Disney’s Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean rides.

Beginning today, you can have your TikTok text read by:

• Madame Leota – Disney’s Haunted Mansion
• Ghost Host – Disney’s Haunted Mansion
• Disney Pirate – Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean

Full Map Revealed for D23 Expo 2022​

We’re less than a week away now from D23 Expo 2022 kicking off at the Anaheim Convention Center! And with everyone getting hyped up for their favorite panels, we finally have a look at the full map for the Expo itself!

The main event is largely on the first floor of the convention center. “Mickey Avenue” as it’s called runs all thw ay through the center, and a number of shopping and informational booths will be available throughout the event, as well as a sizeable D23 Expo Marketplace.

Progress Being Made at the Polynesian Resort for Upcoming DVC Tower​

Workers are still hard at work between the torrential downpours getting the former Luau Cove area ready for the new DVC Polynesian Tower. We don’t have a name yet for the project that is set to open late 2024.

Mobile Resort Checkout Button Added to "My Reservation" Screen on My Disney Experience App​

Guests using the My Disney Experience app may have noticed that the Mobile Resort Checkout button has now been added to the "My Reservation" screen. Previously, the option only appeared on the "Hotel Account" screen.
This second location (shown in the screenshot below) is designed to improve awareness and usage amongst Resort Guests using the app. The button can be found above the 'Show Room Number" option.

Goofy Van Disney Vacation Club Billboard Painted Blue at Walt Disney World​

Since our last update on the Disney Vacation Club van billboard, we can see some progress with the repainting.

The DVC billboard is now bright blue, with protective covering over the wheels and windows of the van. It appears the van will be blue now to match the Disney Vacation Club logo.
