Gabby Petito

But I'm not talking about what the police and courts doing. Of course they have to follow the rules to the letter. I don't expect them to skirt the rules to get answers. We all know that backfires later.

I'm only talking about what HE should be doing. What any decent person would do. Even if some accident happened and he knows talking won't save her life, then for the sake of her parents, whose child is out there somewhere and they have no idea if she's suffering in the wilderness or if she's dead in a ditch.

Well, that's a morality judgement. And for what it's worth, I agree with you as I suspect most here people do. But you can't project your own morality onto others and make them behave the way you believe they should, unfortunately.

Even Scott Peterson pretended to care about what happened to his wife, and he's a freaking monster.
What does that make this guy, he's not even pretending to give a **** about what happened to the woman he loves.

This is why I feel like he is either completely innocent here or he witnessed or did something SO horrible that he is in literal shock and cannot reliably discuss what happened. None of this seems typical of this kind of scenario.

Lots of people talking about jurisdiction and rights and such. I'm talking about what's right. They didn't find a body and someone has now clammed up. There is an ongoing case where the welfare of this girl is still undetermined. I don't care what his legal rights are. It's wrong that he hasn't offered up what he knows about her disappearance.

I'm aghast at the number of people seemingly defending him sitting back saying nothing. (Or maybe I'm misunderstanding. I hope I am.) Sure it might be legal. But that doesn't make it even remotely right. I think a lot of people are putting themselves in the shoes of the guy (or his parents). How about putting yourselves in the shoes of Gabby's parents?

I'd probably feel different if there wasn't an ongoing issue of finding a missing girl. But until she's found, it would be nice if everyone pulled together to help find her. Unless of course you're the only one who knows it's not really an urgent matter any more.
I think the conversation turned that way because people are assuming because he’s not talking he must be guilty of *something.*

As her mother I’d be so far up that kid’s butt day and night I’d probably get myself arrested for harassment. As *his* mother I’d tell him to keep his mouth shut until a lawyer advises otherwise. Not necessarily because I think he has done something wrong but because it can be made to look like he has. In both cases my instinct is to protect my kid. I would hope that if my child told me something that could help I would encourage them to do the right thing.

Obviously he knows something but I’m not convinced he killed her.

Due to posters wondering why the cops can’t arrest Brian for stealing the van and make him talk - that’s why. Someone with knowledge explained that.

Apparently several detectives have entered Brian's house. It seems to be a prearranged meeting, from the reporter on scene. It should be said that Gabby was living there prior to the trip.

Also, a statement was released by the jurisdiction in Moab, Utah stating that the double homicide has been determined to NOT be connected to the Gabby Petito missing persons case.

Finally, a previously scheduled news conference out of Wyoming regarding the case has been cancelled.

Something is happening. I guess we will find out more soon.

This ! I’m a mother of both a daughter and son. So I tried to look at it from both perspectives. If it’s my daughter I’m literally standing outside his house every day of my life until he tells me where she is.
But then I got thinking what kind of useless parent doesn’t force their son to confess or tell her parents something ?? Well what if I really felt my son was being set up for something he absolutely didn’t do? I would protect him the best I could too.
I think it’s a nightmare all around. If I knew my son did it there is no way I would let her parents suffer and I would turn him in myself.
But what if they truly believe he didn’t do it and that the police and the media have it wrong ?

Maybe she told him to **** off, that she was going to continue on without him, and to go home. Maybe he did that. He went on his merry way only to discover upon returning home that she dropped off the radar in the meantime...if he is smart and knows that "husbands and boyfriends are suspect #1", he gets a lawyer and doesn't talk.
I have no idea of course what happened here, but I am speaking as someone who knows someone who was convicted of first degree murder who was innocent. I would tell my son not to say anything because of course "anything you say and and WILL be used against you"....

I need to watch the whole dashcam video, since I have only seen an abbreviated version, but one thing that occurred to me was that is usually take two to tango. If he is all laid back and Gabby is the unstable one, what is happening that makes her go off? She fought to get into the car that he was locking her out of when she hit him and she managed to get in on the driver's side door and climb over him to the passenger seat in order to not be left by him. Makes me think he has threatened or actually done that to her more than once. Maybe he's a narcissist and is really good at gaslighting. I don't know. Maybe he did leave her in a huff and now that he's home safe and she's not he's panicking and doesn't know what to do. I am very curious what transpired between 9/1 when he arrived at home and 9/11 when Gabby's parents filed the missing persons report. Did he and his family just ignore that fact that Gabby never came home and never mentioned it to her parents, letting them worry for another 10 days before they got desperate and made the call? Did Gabby's parent's know he was home that whole time before they made the call? So many questions, so few answers. I'm going to go check out that timeline someone posted a few pages back.🕵️‍♀️

...most we can pray for are those Cell records, the pings.. then know when and where he traveled/gas stations/tolls.. video along the way. Was she In the vehicle at that point. I think the Crux is to Pinpoint the LAST ping/text/photo.. not the 8/30 ( ?) text her mom says she’s not sure was Even from her daughter. But IF it wasn’t.. that Location would be a good start to then work backwards.
Have any of you seen the Miranda Baker woman on Tik Tok who claims that her and her boyfriend picked up Brian hitchhiking in Grand Teton on August 29th? States she has been working with FBI and detectives but wanted to share info to help see if anyone else saw him.

They picked him up at a shower/rest area in the park asking for a ride to Jackson and he said he had been camping alone for three days along snake river while his fiancé was back at their van working on their social media blog.. apparently he didn’t look like he was prepared for/had been camping and at one point he freaked out when he learned they too were on their way to Jackson and asked to be let out and disappeared.

The following day Gabbys mom received a text message from her phone saying no cell service in Yosemite.. two days latter Brian arrived at home in South Florida. Makes no sense.

FBI are at his house right now speaking with his parents, supposed he is not home - it’s on the news live. They keep going in with large brown paper bags as if they are bagging evidence. Maybe dirty laundry. Maybe her possessions since she was living there.

It is never a good idea to speak to the police during an ongoing criminal investigation without a lawyer(preferably criminal) present. Don’t volunteer to waive your right against self incrimination. Please. Even if you have done nothing wrong, let your attorney represent you and protect your best interests.

And his case was Over turned. Cross T’s and Dot I’s. Prayers for Gabbys family … they are in a living hell 😢

Aaaaaaannnnnnddd now Brian has disappeared. His whereabouts are "unknown", according to the Laundrie family attorney. The police were at the house gathering evidence to help find him. The FBI is on the case now.

What a cluster.

Edit: he's been missing since Tuesday.

Ok, one more time. See above. For you TV cops and lawyers Miranda V Arizona is about the "read him his rights Danno".
In a nutshell, you have two types of interrogations.

Custodial: The suspect is in custody and and can't leave. This is where you need to inform them of their rights. Also, they don't have to talk to you without a lawyer being present. Anything you say can be used against you in court. You are free to stop answering questions at any time you decide. If you have a lawyer they have to go through the lawyer. If you say you want a lawyer present the have to stop asking questions. If you stop talking they take you back to the people zoo until you change your mind or trial or whatever.

Non-Custodial: The investigator (any LEO can be an investigator be it uniformed patrol or a detective in case someone is curious) has the suspect in a place where they are asking questions. If the suspect isn't under arrest he can cooperate but he can also stop at any time and leave. They do not have to inform you of your rights in this situation, and you can run your mouth and hang yourself.

Please note comments in my previous post. Sit like a speed bump or shut up like a clam.
Why are you acting like no one else knows anything? We aren't stupid.
