I agree whole hardly!!! Guess my stay this October will be my last! I'd cancel but I'm going over the 50th anniversary weekend. What's up with those curtains. They look like something I would put in a 5-year-old's bedroom or a nursery school playroom, not in a "deluxe" resort room.
The bathroom is a massive improvement - finally some counter space!! I'm not so sure about that big couch - curious where the dresser is to store clothing? Certainly is brighter! I'm looking forward to some video walkthroughs to get a better sense of the room! I'm not really a fan of the Incredibles theming, TBH. I really liked the more retro-vibe of the previous rooms. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I don't need Disney characters in my face constantly to make me feel like I'm in WDW.
So what do we think?
Hate it. They should NOT have put an IP in at that resort. I've had a bucket list dream for many many years to spend a night at the Contemporary Resort in a tower room, but now have zero desire to do so as long as the rooms are themed to that stupid Incredibles nonsense.
I enjoyed the Incredibles movie, but it doesn't belong at CR.
I'm torn. I previously HATED how so many of the more "upscale" resorts lacked any Disney feel inside of them. With that being said tho, I really feel this makes the rooms look more on the scale of what I'd expect from Art of Animation or something like that. I don't mind the characters at all but the over all vibe they went with in my opinion cheapens the feel of the rooms.
So do I 100% hate the rooms, no but I really don't think they are a good fit for the contemporary resort. It kind of gives off a more "vintage" vibe to the rooms and I really don't think that's the idea behind the contemporary. Does anyone else kinda feel almost a 70s space vibe?
