The bathroom is a massive improvement - finally some counter space!! I'm not so sure about that big couch - curious where the dresser is to store clothing? Certainly is brighter! I'm looking forward to some video walkthroughs to get a better sense of the room! I'm not really a fan of the Incredibles theming, TBH. I really liked the more retro-vibe of the previous rooms. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I don't need Disney characters in my face constantly to make me feel like I'm in WDW.

At least this confirms the Garden Wing still has more years left and won’t be BLT 2 anytime soon…

And once the tower guest rooms are complete, work will begin on the rooms inside the Garden Wing out on the shore of Bay Lake.

It appears this is all you get. Depends on your needs. With kids wed actually rather have the couch.

So what do we think?

Hate it. They should NOT have put an IP in at that resort. I've had a bucket list dream for many many years to spend a night at the Contemporary Resort in a tower room, but now have zero desire to do so as long as the rooms are themed to that stupid Incredibles nonsense.

I enjoyed the Incredibles movie, but it doesn't belong at CR.

I agree w/the other poster above who said that the curtains look like they belong in a 5 year old's bedroom.

Overall, this room does not look like a $700-900/night room. It looks similar to a Pop Century room. Or you could plop this down into Art of Animation and it would fit right in. I hate the colors (orange and gray? bleh). The bathroom is not impressive. The closet space is terrible. The decorative pillows on the bed look cheap and like something I'd buy at IKEA for a 6 year old.

I'm torn. I previously HATED how so many of the more "upscale" resorts lacked any Disney feel inside of them. With that being said tho, I really feel this makes the rooms look more on the scale of what I'd expect from Art of Animation or something like that. I don't mind the characters at all but the over all vibe they went with in my opinion cheapens the feel of the rooms.

So do I 100% hate the rooms, no but I really don't think they are a good fit for the contemporary resort. It kind of gives off a more "vintage" vibe to the rooms and I really don't think that's the idea behind the contemporary. Does anyone else kinda feel almost a 70s space vibe?

But shut the closet, hide the throw pillows and open the curtains and the theming is almost gone. Do you like the room them?

I actually like the Incredibles touches. It's the overall look of the rooms that I'm not sure is tasteful. The "monorail" looking curtain opening is kind of ugly. I love the Moana overhaul at the Polynesian. This is meh.

Yeah the Poly and WL teams did much better jobs in my opinion.

Wow. Yeah, I don't like this at all. This looks like something that would have worked better at a resort like AoA, where animation is the actual theme of the resort. I really like the more subtle theming of the deluxe hotels. This actually looks a bit tacky to me. I really hope they keep the garden wing, as-is, for the time being (from the article it sounds like they are only refurbing the tower currently?). I have zero interest in staying in one of these rooms. I wish they had just done a few of these and made it a separate room category. Are the Incredibles so popular that this is really going to sell $600+ rooms? This actually makes me not want to book CR.
