Obviously I didn't learn my lesson from that last time I did that to folks here... I'm gonna clarify that before I get anyone else excited just to crush their souls...

The support on my Gold finally went to 30k! There were several targeted rounds but mine just stayed stubbornly at 10k. Just in time since there are 2 cards I want to get for DH.

Wonder how long I need to wait after canceling his 4th card. I only waited a couple days last time and it wasn't long enough (he had to call).
Amex SUB has additional $200 credit for home furnishing stores (includes Home Depot and Lowe's) via support on personal cards. I saw it on every card except the Hilton and Bonvoy ones. (Darn because I wanted to go for a Surpass.)

I just checked my post on DISchurners and was coming here to report the extra $200 ... and @wanderlust7 beat me to it :D

No retention offer success this year on my Hilton Aspire. I guess they realized the card would need to be pried out of my cold dead hands and that I was bluffing last year when they gave me one. Looking forward to using last year's FN certs at Marco Island next month which will be new for us. Hopefully this year's FN cert might be used somewhere international. I wouldn't mind a trip back to the Maldives. Fingers crossed!

I have a few questions as I am finally below 5/24 and my wife will be below 5/24 next month. If I have a CIC can I apply for a CIU? I see that it looks like Chase is increasing the bonus for the CSP to 80K. When they did this last year did they ever allow you to refer someone and you get the 15K for the referral and they get the 80K deal? If I can't refer for the higher bonus then I'll close or PC my CSP when the AF hits this month and have my wife apply. How much credit can you have with Chase? Currently I have $50K in credit across 3 personal cards (CF, Disney, and CSP) and $8K on my CIC. My wife also has the no AF Disney card and we only use it for special photo opportunities and savings in the parks. I don't think we both need one if having the credit will limit what I can get from Chase in the future.

From what I’ve read, the recommendation is to stay under 50% off your income with your chase CLs.

Are you still within 13 months since your last retention?

Got a 15k Hilton retention offer on the Aspire last month.

Chase historically matches within 3 months, even if you’ve met MSR. May be even easier if you’ve met MSR, since - if Chase approves the match - Chase will just immediately add the points to your account vs. if you haven’t met MSR yet, telling you they’ll match and SM them again when you’ve met MSR.

I already met my MSR for my CSP that I opened 1/1/2021 and gotten my SUB. Does that mean once the new SUB offer is live, I can SM and ask for the additional points?

The SW change window is open for May 5th...haven’t tried other dates so don’t know the start and end dates

With SW doing these windows a few times a year would it be best to book the cheapest flights when your dates open? Then you could update when a free change window opens. If it doesn’t open you could always cancel or rebook. Do SW flights usually go down or will they be pretty cheap if you book ASAP?

SW is only doing the change window because they are cancelling some flights due to COVID and moving reservations. I wouldn’t book the cheapest flights and hope to move them to the ones you want.
Sometimes the flights are the cheapest on opening day other times they aren’t...

I think I'm like $5 away from hitting my MSR on my free IHG account. I think I'm gonna take the upgrade offer Amex gave me on my Everyday now. Maybe that will appease the Amex gods and stop the damn popups.

My 15yo passed her driver test today which means come Weds I will have a DD that can DRIVE    The secretary of state called me today and asked if I wanted to change her appt to Monday. I booked it 6 mos ago. I'm like, well I would, but my DD isn't 16 until 3/17, LOL.

In teaching fun, MI is now holding back funding unless students are in person at least 20 hours a week. We do A/B days M/W and T/TH, with everyone remote Friday. So starting 3/22 we'll have all students M-Th, we think remote still on Friday. But 58% of our students are remote. Not a huge change for me since I'm already in the bldg 4 days a week. If anything it gets a bit easier since I'm not teaching the same thing each day, LOL.

I need to start planning my spring break. We fly in ATL on 3/26. I have a rental car. I think the idea is to head towards FL. Time to figure out where and book something, LOL. Trying to figure out where we want to go and if we want to do anything in ATL.
