DH bought something with his platinum amex PayPal credit last month but the credit didn't post. Are we missing something?

Keep trying to get your Dad's appt but also have your Dad go with your Mom in case they have extra doses that day.

I had a similar experience as you and got my mom's appt but my dad's would have been 2 weeks later. She went for her appt was this past Sat and Dad went with her in hopes that maybe they would have extra doses that day. They asked and were told they do wait lists each day and usually end up with several extra doses. Mom's appt was late in the day but he was still only number 6 on the waitlist and he was able to get it. The same thing happened with my aunt and uncle in another state. So maybe your dad will get lucky too. Good luck!

I checked back and a bunch of slots opened up. I was even able to get them the same time! :cheer2:

Re:1099s...I'm not sure where it went, but I'm pretty sure DH got a 1099 from Chase for his $300 checking bonus.

Re:award travel...I have been in a funk since learning that it's a real possibility our bucket list trip to Japan in October will have to be rescheduled for a third time or canceled altogether. HOWEVER, the silver lining of that would be that DH and I could instead take full advantage of our newly extended SW Companion Pass to take multiple week-long vacations domestically rather than burning up all our PTO on one big trip. I am trying to keep on the bright side and internalize that being able to safely do things like eat outside at a restaurant or go to the movies will be an improvement over most of the last 10 months, even if it's not as exciting as aspirational redemptions.

Re:new cards...we are looking at repiping our house ($$$) and some of the companies we are looking at take credit cards. I've been a burnt out lately and haven't been reading much about new SUBs...but if we are spending $5,000 to $8,000 in one go I feel like we should try and take advantage. Any high-spend MSRs out there that would provide a decent return on investment? CSR/CSP are out, not sure if the CIPpy cup is still an option, we're both well below 5/24 and our Amex limits, I love my URs but wouldn't mind some MRs to cash out as Home Depot gift cards or maybe even at Schwab. Thoughts?

With that level of spent I’d be looking at CIU or CIC.

I initially put this on the wrong thread - how embarrassing! But - not too many views over there.

Checking out the Amex Teleflora 15 off 35 offer. It occurred to me to send some valentine flowers to my kids, just a simple arrangement. Maybe $50 or so.

Only things I could find that would fit the price at $35 plus when put in the cart between tax and delivery were over $60. This offer is for 10 times.

But - delivery service fee is $20. I have 3-4 florists within 1-2 miles of me. Plus all the grocery store florists. And my kids live in areas where delivery is very close also.

Anybody else think $20 is too high? In comparison, food delivery for a max of 4.95 - delivered hot! Maybe $20 in an area where that's the only item being delivered all day long, but usually the vans are full of flowers to be delivered.

I was going to send my friend flowers (her bother passed suddenly) using that same offer, but it was cheaper to just use a local company.

Cheaper and helps a local business to order direct from them - a local florist told me that one of those popular websites (can't remember which one) keeps 20% of what you pay.

Has anyone seen their $99 MF amex statement credit post? I am hoping the credit posts before they issue the next statement.
No MF and waiting to see if a $30/$30 wine insider one posts. Over on SD, there's alot of discussion that this wine offer has hidden strings attached - no referral codes, no special promotions. I used a $25/$75 code that someone had said worked for them (not a referral) but it's been about a week and no notification. It's not a great deal without the $30 as we are pretty cheap wine drinkers so if it doesn't post, I won't use the other ones. Has anyone had any luck with this offer?

Mine posted within 3-4 days. Directly through Paypal with the Amex Plat as the payment method. It also posted as partial credits because I used it for 2 transactions.
