Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE RESORTS Information & Questions

Very nice! Do you know (or does your receipt say) what that room is actually called? I have booked a room which the phone CM referred to as a “premium studio with two doubles and a queen sofabed” and my confirmation says “2 Double Beds,Premium Guest Room,Sofabed.” None of these names align exactly with the verbiage on the SwanDolphin website or the many images I find online.

And the answer may be that they just have a handful of these rooms which they’ve converted from other room types over the years, and it may be luck of the draw how yours is actually configured, as long as they give you the number of beds you booked! Anyone else know?

Either way, I’m looking at $1100+ less than my AoA res for the same dates. I lose a bathroom but gain walking access to two parks. We love AoA but I think access is king right now.
This is all I have for a name. Walking was so nice! Also for us the buses didn't seem too busy and felt like they came very often, seemed more like every 15min in the morning. The AK drop off didn't bother us as it was just past the normal bus loop, and for MK we walked over to Yacht Club. The only bus we didn't figure out was DS, if/when they are running those.

@Dave006 thanks you are right, I guess S/D finally got fully integrated with the Marriott software, it seemed like for a while they were on two separate systems. Thanks for the clarification.

@amalone1013 how was the "limited view" room?

I wonder if they have fully listed, Fireworks View, Resort View, Limited View, Dumpster View now :D
Roof view with roof lines above window sight 🤣
We were on the 7th floor overlooking the causeway, I guess sort of behind the fountain so maybe that was limited? It's not like that fountain is against the side of the hotel though... maybe it was the roof peak 🤷‍♀️

I would love that view right about now. Darn you 2020!

@amalone1013 that's not a bad view, but I'd say limited view description was about right. No HVAC or dumpster inside at least :D

I'd still take that view any day of the week, enjoy your trip!!!
That’s the view we had (the dumpsters LOL) when we stayed there for the Dark Side Half. But with visits to the spa, Cali Grill, and Trader Sam’s, it was easily overlooked!! 😬

There’s a new promo out for Christmas! I tried it online and it wasn’t working. I called, but the woman I got had no idea about it and said I was booking through a 3rd party. I told her I had a passholder rate booked directly on the Marriott website and she said that rate didn’t exist either... I’m going to try again tomorrow!

As @SteveH noted, you need to speak with the resort’s reservations department, reached at one of the two phone numbers noted in the offer. However, they only are open during normal business hours - I believe they close at about 7:00 PM ET, weeknights; after that, the calls roll over to Marriott’s call center, which will have no knowledge of the offer.

Just call one of the two phone numbers during the day, and you will have a better outcome.

@Wishuponastar0412 when you called did you call the S/D direct or did you end up with the Marriott call center? Best number is the 407.934.4000, ask for in-house reservations.

Yes, I called direct S&D line, but then auto transferred me to Marriott call center. Thank you so much for the info! I’ll call today during lunch.

I called back this morning and she said the AP rate I have is better deal and dropped to $128/night average over Christmas. We saved around $350! We've never stayed Swan, only Dolphin. Excited to be here over Christmas :)
You can call the same phone number to place any room requests you may have. They are very nice and will try to accommodate reasonable requests, based on your room type and availability.

Has anyone ever used the pull out sofa beds in the suites? We are thinking of booking a suite for the extra space and all they have is a King bed option. My teenage daughter has slept on pull outs in DVC rooms before but we were curious how comfortable the sofa bed would be?
