Just got off the phone with a CM after being on hold for almost 2 hours. She told me that according to the information she has in front of her, if you canceled an ADR after getting a new reservation on Tuesday, they are NOT able to get your original reservation back.
She said they are NOT automatically canceling all new reservations made during the glitch. She said it is on a case by case basis depending on the restaurant and if it can accommodate the additional capacity. So hopefully some of us will get lucky and be able to keep some of our reservations we added on Tuesday. She also said there is not a certain time when all of the reservations are going to disappear from the system and all of a sudden new reservations will become available. They are just scaling back the reservations to get rid of the excess so she doesn’t foresee a lot of availability opening up. I don’t know how much of this was completely official vs her making assumptions. She was very sympathetic, told me about the $25 gift certificate But in a tone that clearly showed she realized that this was not much compensation for what we ha e lost, said to just keep checking the app and that CM‘s will be more than happy to help in our search for a new reservations if we call.
