Yes - I imagine everyone in my household will get it, although not immediately. If it becomes available shouldn't it first be given to all the high-risk individuals? The ones all these isolation measures are aimed at protecting? I hope access is prioritized in that way.

It all depends on the research that goes into it and the side effects and just how effective it is. I don't get a regular flu shot and I'm over 60. I don't react well to shots, they tend to make me pretty sick so I would really have to think long and hard about it.

Yep, without hesitation, I don't research the risks of any vaccine I get, why would I start now? I trust the process.

Fair allocation based on risk should have you pretty near the front of the line. As I understand it, the list should look something like this:

1. Medical personnel and first responders
2. The elderly
3. Persons with underlying conditions
4. Essential workers (non-health care or first responders)
5. Healthy adults aged 18 - 64
6. Children

Not sure where politicians, celebrities and the financially elite will fit in there but as for the rest of us, this makes sense to me.

I would absolutely get one eventually, but I would let pretty much anyone else go first as I am very low risk.

I may actually wait a bit just because if they do find one, I would be hoping it wasn’t just rushed to market before we really know how safe and effective it is. But my thinking may change when or if they actually find one.

I would want to. I'd ask my doctor's advice first, but I'm pretty sure he'd recommend it unless there were any specific issues with it. I get the flu shot every year with no ill effects.

I went without a flu shot for most of my life. And YES I know this isn't the flu. Just because they (even if it's Dr. Facui) says "it's safe" doesn't mean they know the long term ramifications of it.

If you research one then you've researched them all....possibility of severe allergic reaction, neurological side effects, seizures, headache, fatigue, loss of appetite, death, bla, bla, bla.....

Do you research every single food item you eat? Not much different than an injection.
