The chopping and prepping of veggies takes time but I used to do it on weekends and the fridge would be full of containers of veg prepped for each meal. Then throw it in crockpot or oven.
I used sites like this when we didn’t have a kitchen. I pre-tested to make sure we liked a recipe, then spent a few weekends stocking the freezer.

I emailed that link to myself. That’ll be super handy when we need it!

Do you have any to recommend? The problem is I’m super picky so I’m not sure if I would like a lot of the recipes. We do plan to freeze a lot of meals before the baby comes like lasagna and casserole type stuff
My MIL is no longer able to cook and my FIL is so busy taking care of her that he also doesn't have time to cook. A lot of the meal services just deliver the ingredients and you still have to prepare the meal. I think it's Freshly (maybe) that delivers the meal already made and you just heat it. If you have a picky palate (ahem...), the meal services can be challenging to find meals you will like without significant modifications. Just things to keep in mind when looking into those.

I am the exception on swelling feet. I've never had it happen during pregnancy, but only when I had a foot injury about 2 -3 years ago. Twisted my ankle.
I only had foot swelling during one of my pregnancies and it was very minor (it was in Aug right before I delivered).

Just saw a new Chase offer - 10% at McDonald's....max $1 :rotfl2:
Wow - I’ll get right on that!!

Hey, now, a dollar is a dollar and I actually go to McDonalds. Ever since I was in grad school, McDonalds has been one of my go-to places to get work done. When the kids were little, I could read/edit while they were in the play place, and even now it has three of my top requirements for getting work done out of the office--wifi, plenty of seating, and self-serve soda refills. So I will take that dollar! (Which means I probably don't have that offer.)

I did not lose mine this past May/June.

Good to see, and hopefully I'll remember to get mine this weekend!

DS prefers to use our huge master suite bath to his own :) Maybe once he is a teen that will change.
Maybe not. My sister’s 3 kids (11,11, almost 14) have a bathroom to share but they often use my sister’s master bath with walk in shower. Plus it’s a good place to bathe the dogs. Lol

This is why don’t do them. I‘d been wasting most of the ingredients. Just as easy to grab a pack of chicken parts and throw it in the oven with BBQ sauce and rice in the cooker and call it a meal.

I caught an exchange to Boulder Ridge Villas! :cheer2: So now we're going Spring Break instead of Thanksgiving. Just me and the kids since DH is busy. Maybe we'll go to Universal for Thanksgiving instead. Going to use my Delta vouchers from before, but they only have flex tickets.

So question - is it possible to upgrade a shorter flex ticket to a longer date based ticket and get price bridging? Wondering if this would be more advantageous since the flex is more expensive and my voucher may not cover the whole amount (after adding in 2 or 3 hotel nights after the DVC stay).

I called the Disney tickets line with this question a few months ago, and they said yes, it is possible, as long as you're going to a more expensive ticket. The rep actually offered to do the conversion right then, over the phone, so I had to explain that I didn't have the tickets yet.

I have a very first world problem. My mom keeps saying she has nothing for me to open for Christmas. I told her them buying that chair is more than enough but she insists it’s for the baby and not me. She has stuff for Dh but I can’t think of a single thing to tell her. The only idea I gave her awhile ago was body wash because she gets me that every year. I seriously can’t think of anything!

ETA: Something besides gcs. She wants me to have presents to open

I second everyone's comfy pajamas idea. Shower tablets are also great for new moms - they're like bath bombs, but they go on the shower floor and release a nice scent. The first few weeks after a baby, showers are the GREATEST, and these make them even better. If you're thinking of nursing, nursing tanks are another idea, although not everyone likes them. They make lots of different shirts nursing-friendly so you don't have to buy a whole new wardrobe.

Thanks! I think I'm still not seeing my situation though...My charge was on Nov 29 (to use Nov's credit) but it didn't post until Dec 1. I'm wondering will it use my Nov or Dec credit when it does credit???

Maternity clothes. If you're going to nurse maybe some nursing tops.

I've never heard of shower tablets. I'm too frugal but am mildly intrigued. I'd be in for sure if they also cleaned the shower!

How do you make 1 bathroom work for that many people? We have 11/2 but the half is in an unfinished basement and DS doesn’t like to go down there. Most mornings when I’m in the shower, DS busts in to use the bathroom. Plus, no storage. I would love my own bathroom with a shower, no tub.
When I was growing up? Not too well at all lol there was a lot of fighting:rolleyes1 Our current home? easy! when I needed the bathroom, when all getting ready to go at once, I made them all use the 1/2 bath:rotfl: Seriously we just all take turns with the shower, and the 1/2 bath provided an extra space if no shower needed. I also stocked toiletries for all in both bathrooms so either place worked for getting ready. I know ours is small in comparison but I honestly wouldn't be able to keep up the cleaning on a big place. As far as layout, I love my place- when we moved in there was a tiny kitchen (set up badly) and a tiny adjacent dining room.Eventually we knocked down the dividing wall, creating one larger flow space...the first floor is like a circle now (just ask my running toddler visitors) very open, with the divider wall in between rooms. It feels bigger than it is thanks to the layout helper team at Ikea! And I have always loved the low mortgage payments that came with it too....

Does anyone know if you use Paypal, will Chase Offers credit? I'm eyeing a new duvet and sheets for DS at PB Teen and have a 10% off PB Teen offer on my CF.

That’s what I was afraid of. I think we’ll just prep some beforehand to have in the freezer
