Fair enough-then maybe nursing (if you're doing that) clothes-tops and bras. Or a lovely nightgown OR comfy pj set. Or sassy mules (your feet WILL swell)! A journal or baby book, or just a good trashy novel. Those can all be wrapped :)

I am the exception on swelling feet. I've never had it happen during pregnancy, but only when I had a foot injury about 2 -3 years ago. Twisted my ankle.

We mostly only get sandhill cranes and other birds. We’ve seen the occasional tiny alligator in the retention ponds but nothing scary. I like all of the little lizards that show up in our lanai. The gnats have been horrible lately though. Our whole backyard is swarmed with them and they’re so small they can get through the lanai screen
Are those small gnats what they call, 'no-see-ums'? I gotten eaten alive this past summer in FL but never saw what was chowing down on me lol.

Mules are slide on shoes and sassy-you know something that will make you feel fun when you're feeling bloated or hormonal or something-so whatever makes YOU smile-sequins, feathers, satin or who knows, maybe someone on etsy does Disney slide on shoes.

They do!
I am such a Tom boy. I would never wear shoes with sequins, feathers, or satin lol. I do have under armour slip ons that I wear religiously

@Haley R comfy pajamas. That's what I'm asking for. Nothing beats comfy pajamas postpartum. Even better if they don't look so pajamay that you feel guilty for wearing them all day when getting dressed seems impossible. 😆

As far as one bathroom, schedules make it possible. We have more than one now but survived with just one before. Even with multiple bathrooms we have to schedule showers and baths for everyone because there is only so much hot water and time.

I'm with you @SouthFayetteFan What works for everyone is different. I can't imagine having much larger than where we are now and many people would consider it small for the size of our family. We also live in a high cost of living area and couldn't imagine the mortgage if we went bigger 😬

Well, I don’t use any because I just cook everything from scratch lol. But maybe someone else has used a service. Or maybe there is something local to you. There used to be here but I’m not sure they’re in business any more.
I make everything from scratch too. Well I mean I use a lot of boxed stuff but I still cook it myself. I like to do crock pot meals and stuff like that. I bet it’s hard for a local business to stay on business with all of the shipped meals now

@Haley R best thing we have done after each baby is place an order for Cracker Barrel catering pickup. Comes with a large pan of grilled chicken, 3 large sides, and biscuts/corn bread. The food reheats well, its real food thats made and can heat up fast, and its filling. It was like $55ish and lasted us a week the first time! (Less the second time because our toddler was eating too haha). For the second baby my mom got us a $100 GC for CB because she knew how much we liked it and I could order from my hospital bed for pickup on the way home!

@amalone1013 Kohls deal was $229 PLUS15% off PLUS $45 Kohls cash. Right now on Kohls website you could pay $194 (list $259 plus 25% off) and get $30-$40 j Kohls cash (if you top up your spend to $200). Thats pretty competitive with BF!
Huh I’ve never heard of Cracker Barrel catering. We have a cracked barrel not even a mile from our house so that might be a good one! I’ll have to mention that to Dh and see what he thinks. It’s nice that you got grilled chicken because we don’t do fried chicken.

Somehow you do it! I'm the youngest of 6 daughters, and until I was 5 we lived in a 4 BR, 1 BA house. I was oblivious to the whole thing, I'm sure showers/baths were taken at night. It was the 60's so everyone had long straight hair, not much time needed in the AM to style it.
Ha ha, not when you have naturally curly/frizzy hair. My sister spent (still does) hours fixing her hair, but not in the bathroom. She had a dressing table/desk with hair straighteners, blow dryer, etc. When my hair was long, I wasn’t patient enough to dry it (at least 30-40 minutes) so usually a ponytail. We had 11/2 baths growing up. Bathroom was mostly for bathing and ya know. No putting on makeup or drying hair. In our current house, I could put makeup on dresser and stand there to do makeup (I’m a minimalist anyway) but couldn’t dry my hair because there is no outlet.

I’m not sure what they’re called. I’ve never gotten bit by them though. They just swarm our backyard but our backyard backs up to a preserve so that’s likely why

My family was the opposite. It was just my brother and I. Our house had 4 bathrooms and 3 floors. Dh and I agreed that we only want two kids unless we get unlucky the next time and have triplets or something lol (he has triplets siblings but it should skip the next generation).
We have 4 full baths on 2 finished levels (basement is have it plumbed but is unfinished) for 3 people and 2 of them never get used. Which makes it a pain since they still need to be cleaned.

I might ask her for a comfy pj set and socks. I love having comfy pajamas

Regarding Happy Guy gift cards - I see 'Happy Holidays' Happy card includes Lowes - has anyone bought a Disney gift card with this gift card at Lowes?

The Happy card promo on Amex is about to expire 12/7 so I'm looking for options. I have quite a few Home Depot cards, Happy and otherwise. Lowes is my closest store and my go to store for quick home improvements. So, if the card did not provide the ability to buy a Disney gc, it is useable as is and has food options nearby to me as well, Chili's, Red Lobster, and for @Alexle2007 - PF Changs!

The home depot happy guy card has McCormick and Schmicks, (hey - would this card work 'as is' at the Disney options such as Rainforest, Yak n Yeti?) Burger King which I dislike, and Buffalo Wild Wings, which doesn't attract my business either.

I dunno - I have 2 offers - maybe I'll buy one of each!
I have a HC from Safeway that I have been using for our PF Chang’s visits :)

My mom always complained about cleaning the house even though she loved living there. They entertained neighbors sometimes so it did get used. I would say we were in the basement the majority of the time

So, I have a question about the Amex gold dining credit. I used mine at CCF on Nov 29. The charge posted on Dec 1. Does that mean I will lose Nov's credit and it will actually use Dec?
Yup  I lost it twice this past year to that.

I did not lose mine this past May/June.

Are they the love bugs? That are gross, gross, gross! They were all over the Disney cruise ship deck on our one cruise.

The chopping and prepping of veggies takes time but I used to do it on weekends and the fridge would be full of containers of veg prepped for each meal. Then throw it in crockpot or oven.
I used sites like this when we didn’t have a kitchen. I pre-tested to make sure we liked a recipe, then spent a few weekends stocking the freezer.

All of this talk of houses... I’ll just say that my 1,200 sq ft plus basement I finished myself is good for my family of 4. It has beds, it has bathrooms, it has a TV, it has a kitchen - what more could I need...AND I will have a mortgage paid off while still 35 yrs old 😃

Don’t compare yourself to others, decide what you require and be content when you have it. :D
I had a 1,200 square foot house in the suburbs before I meet dh. I hated the 'burbs, so he moved in and I moved back with my parents closer to the city. I sold the house after a year and bought a house around the corner from my folks. Lived there for 2 3/4 years and bought a bigger house not too far away, but area was nicer. That house needed work, so I acted as the general contractor and gutted most of the house while living there. Dh had a big business deal come through just after I finished the work (5 years after being in the house), we paid off the mortgage and bought our house in the city (in Toronto). We were very lucky with timing because we always made a good profit selling. However house we have now (13+ years) is my favorite -- love the layout, finishes (it was custom built), backyard, neighborhood and proximity to everything. Don't want to ever leave. That first house we still reminisce fondly about -- the size was fine for us and it had a nice layout -- 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs and living and dining rooms and kitchen on the main level (unfinished basement). Probably wouldn't have sold, except I hated the suburbs and the commute to my Bay Street job was almost an hour each way (thus moving back with my parents during the week).
