I felt like that for years, but now I'm so glad we didn't get a bigger house since it's just the 2 of us here most of the time. I have friends trying to downsize and it's such a hassle.

That will be us in about 10 years. We had a 2200sqft house that I LOVED but it was really far out of town and with 4 kids, we were driving to activities all the time. The driving was killing me so we moved into town and into a 4000 sqft house. I love the space for entertaining. It's mostly teens or playgroups but we seriously almost always have people, of some age, coming over. BUT the downside is that it's so much work to clean. I can't keep up. I can't wait to downsize!!

I break into song ALL the time! lol Probably drive people around me bonkers because I can't sing. Well, in my mind I sing awesome, but thinking in everyone else's mind, not so great. Random words will trigger songs with those lyrics to come out of me. haha I love musicals. But at least you like Grease!

YES! You are my bosom buddy!! I love to break out in song (and sometimes dance lol!). Singing makes me so happy! I make up songs too. I've sang my kid's punishment to them

Thoughts inspired by skimming this thread:

• I LOVE the original Parent Trap and @Haley R needs to see it because, duh, Haley Mills!
• I didn't care for the original Mary Poppins. In fact, I'm not sure I've seen in all the way through.
• We tried to watch Mary Poppins Returns over the weekend. Both of us fell asleep halfway through and then woke up to see the end. Meh, I say.
• Moving is definitely a PITA and even when all my kids are out and the current house will be slightly too big for just the two us, I have no plans to downsize.
• I finally got offers on Chase Biz! Nothing useful, of course, but they're there so I am happy.
• I get to go to Disneyland this weekend!

I’m talking 1200 sq feet. I wouldn’t want 4000 square feet. Ever. But I’d be good with 1800-2000 sq feet. We had an 1800 sq Ft house and now all that stuff is crammed into 1200 sq ft. I saw the video and it looks really, really cool. But it will be there in May, and you're getting something so much better, and by far the better deal.

I agree. That is small! Our house before the 2200 sqft house was 1230 sqft. It was incredibly teeny. We moved after we had our 2nd dd. I agree it would have been tough to live in that size with a child who is old enough to want to have friends over.

Our 4000 is ridiculous but 1300 is in the finished basement, which is 98% finished. I throw all the teens down there so that is really nice cause they are so loud

Fortunately Publix had a buy 2 get 2 free on diet dr p because...heading to shun corner now...I don't like Mary Poppins at all (I did really enjoy Saving Mr Banks, however). But, other than Grease I hate musicals (they're not realistic-who breaks into song) so that's why. At least the shun corner has good food and drink

We have been in our house since oldest DD was a couple months old. It was never my dream home, we always thought we would move some day. It is only 1375 Sqft, though it does have a full basement. When I decided to stay at home after kid 3 we stayed put instead of upsizing. I once wanted a bigger house, but am ready to downsize now, even though our house is tiny already. My mom just moved into a 2 bedroom condo and I would love something like that. Her sqft isn't that different than mine, it is just utilized better. I am not fond of cleaning, lol, so I can not even imagine having to clean 4000 sqft.

The ride will be better then. Did you see the TPG rundown? (Shudder I know LOL) Even She was complaining about the tech issues causing the ride to go down + tech issues causing bad ride pacing. Hopefully they have it straightened out by May!

Ours isn't much larger than yours, and like you I wanted a larger one. We put down an offer on a dream house, and then I realize I'd be working forever to help pay for it, so we withdrew the offer and I was able to quit my job and stay at home with DD. No regrets at all since that time with her was totally worth it and we really don't need more space at this point, but I don't know how my neighbors with 4 kids can all fit in their (slightly larger) house.
