I purchased tickets online yesterday to the December 10th party. I received my email confirmation shortly afterwards. I just checked on My Disney Experience, under my plans, but the party doesn't show up there. It says I have no plans, etc. Shouldn't the December 10th party tickets show up under my plans?

Have you linked the tickets to your account? If you have after you go to my plans click on tickets to see the tickets linked to your account.

I had to link my tickets to MDE with the confirmation number. Then they show up under “my tickets” not “my plans” too.

Thank you! I went back to check again and that's when I realized I had to click on the tickets prompt. When I did, I saw my ticket and my husband's ticket info. I had also purchased tickets in a different transaction for six other family members, but their info was not there. I did what a previous poster (Amy M) did and linked their tickets to My Disney experience by using the confirmation number.

Everything is now posted under tickets! Thank you for your replies and help!

For the MVMCP - what is the best strategies ?
We are 2 healthy adults in our 60's - no kids with us

Should we eat dinner early ? 4:30 PM ? 5 PM ?
Should we only do the rides and skip the fireworks and parades ?
Should we do the 2nd parade ? Is there a 2nd fireworks ?

November has 80 degree days and 50 degree nights - what should we wear ?
T-shirts and sweatshirts ?
T-shirts and a winter jacket, since at 11 PM it could be cold - or is it ?

We have only gone to WDW in April, May and June - November is our first time to visit.

Maybe the DIS can do a show on the best strategies for the MVMCP :)

My thoughts:
I would eat dinner early to not take party time away by sitting down and eating/ You get cookies through out the night that can serve as snacks as you go about the party
I concentrate party nights on offerings that are unique to the party, so parade, fireworks and special shows. Rides I can do in the day. Remember with your party ticket you can enter as early as 4pm so you could knock out a couple of rides before the party
2nd parade tends to be a tad less busy, there's only 1 fireworks show
Weather is completely unpredictable, so bring whatever you think you would be comfortable in. I have never been cold in November, but I like the cold, I also live here in Orlando, again it is unpredictable

66 year old Disney fanatic here. Have done MVMCP many times. Do NOT skip the fireworks or parade!!! There are 2 parades, but fireworks happen only once. IMO they are the BEST things about the party! Go on your favorite rides during whichever parade you decide not to watch. Lines will be so short you can often repeat that ride over and over. I usually do the second parade because you don't have to "waste" as much time sitting around waiting for it once you have your spot, but either is good. As for dinner, if you want to do table service, I would do it at 6 PM during that in between hour when the park is "closed" but the party has not "officially started". Get an ADR at your favorite MK sit-down restaurant. However, if you don't mind fueling on counter service and snacks, skip "dinner" and just eat the goodies and a great burger at Pecos Bills...

Have they officially announced which rides will be open. The list on Disney site is very small. I only saw space mountain for future land.

Tomorrowland is always very active on party nights. Usually in addition to Space Mountain you can go on the People Mover, Buzz Lightyear, and the Monsters Inc. Laugh floor. This year, in fact, the laugh floor is supposed to be a different and special show just for the Christmas party! YAY! Oh, and there is also a Christmas stage show in Tomorrowland.

Can anyone confirm which attractions are open party nights?
They never guarantee anything, so they only list things that "could" be open. But from many years of past experience, just about anything you could possibly want to ride will be open.

Do they officially announce what will be open in all lands? Or will we be able to tell by this board when they start. Do they change as the season goes on?

I'm pretty sure they reserve the right to open or not open anything, so it's never "official", but as said, the Christmas parties of the past have always had a LOT of things open, and as they get even busier, I am pretty sure they will not open fewer attractions. We've never been disappointed and found that something we wanted to ride was not open. That would be such a bummer for an expensive hard ticket event.
The lists usually say "attractions such as" or "attractions including" and are never really a complete list. But as said, I don't think you'll be disappointed. The major rides are all open and many of the minor ones as well.

For over $100 per person, they should have an official list of what will be open not what could be. We're gonna be at Universal for a week in December and were thinking about going to the party one night. But no way would I spend the money based on the list Disney has up.

It's really anemic right now and not in line with what they've done in past years! Heck, if memory serves, I think they announced a special holiday overlay for Tomorrowland Speedway this year and Speedway isn't even on the list of attractions right now. I'm planning on going Nov. 15, but haven't bitten the bullet on actually purchasing tickets yet. I can't even imagine the lines at the 8 attractions they currently have listed if they don't add to the list. First party is in 6 days - come on WDW! We need more info!

Sadly, it's the approach the powers that be take at WDW now. Less entertainment, fewer rides, fewer employees, more money for tickets. Big reason we vacation at Universal more often now.

I was just looking at tickets to the event and saw this list as the only attractions being open. Can anyone confirm or deny this list being accurate?View attachment 449540
It says "here are some of the attractions open...". There are holiday overlays already announced for Speedway, Space, Bug, and Teacups. Not to mention Jingle Cruise. So, this does not appear to be a complete list.

We will be staying 3 nights Dec 17-20 at Hard Rock Hotel to visit Universal/Harry Potter World (We arrive 8:30 am Tuesday 17th and fly home late on the Friday 20th). We are also big Disney fans (have been to WDW multiple times but not in the past 2 years) and would like to fit in a Christmas Party into our short trip. I’m trying to decide if we should stay all 3 nights at Hard Rock and just Lyft/Uber to/from MVMCP (from contemporary?). Or we could switch to a Disney hotel (probably a monorail hotel for convenience) for our last night (Thursday night of the party) so that we could get back to our room more easily after the party. Another option is that we could add another night and fly home on Saturday the 21st (and go to the Friday night 20th party instead of Thursday 19th)- but I was thinking the Friday night one might be significant more crowded? Thoughts? This is our first time to Universal so I’m not sure how much of a pain it will be to get back to Hard Rock Hotel if we stay until midnight at MVMCP?
