Rise of The Resistance Opening?

We are hoping for the EEMH to be extended too but my husband is being pessimistic and doesn't think they will be. Meanwhile I am the one wishing upon a star.

Getting worried about rumours of a delay though.
That would be a disaster. I would think at this point if there are still issues at opening they'd have CMs manually push the ride vehicles through.

We will be there 11/29 - 12/4 and I keep hoping there will be an AP preview like they did when Galaxy's Edge opened! I made our arrangements before the announcement of ROTR opening date. My Star Wars fanatic daughter is bummed we will miss it by just a day!

My speculation is they will open on time but we may see lots of downtime possibly similar to Hagrid’s.
From what it sounds like they have it running at least somewhat reliably. Hagrid has been an interesting situation since so much has hurt its operation (between technical issues, maintenance, weather, and bees), but it’s mostly ironed out finally. Personally I’d happily deal with downtime if it means a chance to ride it sooner. And people seem far more forgiving for high quality attractions having issues.

I can totally see it opening on time but having a lot of down time, much like Hagrid's....and since Hagrid's has had so much trouble I think people are less likely to complain about it!

Guess it depends on how much downtime there is and also how they handle the crowds when it does go down, etc. If it is down more than up I can see lots of outcry from people who planned their trip around this ride and didn't get to experience it

From what I was reading on the other openings, they opened 2+ hrs earlier than the announced time for that day anyways.

We are going December 6-December 15. We’re hoping for EMH after the first 3 days as in the case of MFSR. If it were pushed a week I would fight crowds to go, I guess. Waiting impatiently for park hours to be updated due to the ride opening

I agree, we're in Orlando Dec 4-18th and in Disney 9th-12th so really hoping for those EMH or EEMH for RotR.

According to Martin:

“A delay of up to seven days in Orlando is being accommodated but hopefully not needed. Anaheim could open before if Burbank agreed.”
What's the context here? Does it mean Anaheim could open earlier than planned, or earlier than WDW opens? The latter would be a pretty big deal, wouldn't it?

Same here, I arrive on December 7th.

It is opening on time at least the opening media event is.

I'll be curious if they add FastPass+ to MF when Rise of the Resistance opens.

I don't think so - as they have already said that RotR won't have FP+ when the ride first opens and if you add it to MF:SR then, you have the same issue you would have had before where everyone wants their Tier 1 FP for the same ride. I think they will hold off for a while with any FP for GE

I’m wondering if when MMRR opens all 3 new DHS attractions are added and the tiers are tweaked again.

Are we allowed to speculate in here on what we think it will all look like? I wonder if we end up with a tier 1 consisting of the 3 new attractions and SDD, and tier 2 with everything else.

Not gonna lie, it’s kind of fun to think of how a few years ago DHS (and Epcot) were in desperate need of the tiers, but now you could *almost* get away with getting rid of them. Not quite, and I’m pretty sure they stay to slow down how fast the big ones sell out, but there are way more than 3 legitimately good options now.

Cr@p. That would push it to our first full day down there after arriving the previous night. Nooooo, open on time.

So many conflicting stories here.

1) It's been ready for weeks but they want to make sure everything is tested and retested.
2) Could be delayed by up to a week.
3) It's ready but parts of it are not quite working as well as others so may be some downtime.
4) It's having major issues.
