I have copper bottom reverware that I have had for 30 years, got it as a gift when we bought our first place. I do not use the frying pan, ever. I still like non stick for that. But the saucepans get used all the time.

I cook everything in nonstick, although we need a new set (had the same set for probably 15 years). Why are you so opposed to it? I love how easy it is to clean, plus I just use a light spray of Pam to cook with to not add extra fat/oil.

If you're searching for award availability at a hotel and finding none, set up alerts on OpenHotelAlert.com for standard rooms with cash, since award nights are supposed to be made available when standard rooms can be booked with cash.

I've also read that the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills hides their availability under accessible rooms. Check that box and you might see availability.

My birthday is next week too! Happy birthday everybody with birthdays! And happy unbirthday, everybody else! Lol Some years my birthday falls on Election Day. Woohoo.

I use stainless steel pans and also I use cast iron A LOT. I have a cast iron griddle that I use almost every day. I don’t bake much but I cook a fair amount. I used to bake bread but then found out I was gluten intolerant so I don’t do that anymore. I used to have a Bosch mixer that I used for that and it was awesome. But I sold it last year because I just don’t use it anymore. I do still have the stick blender that came with it which I use once in a while for soups and smoothies. I love it!

I just found out today that my son is playing piano at an event THIS FRIDAY! He is in Nashville (college) and I am in Ohio. I got a room for Friday night using UR’s so I can hear him play. Churning success! I am stoked, just can’t wait. I’m driving because the amount of time required to fly vs drive is a wash. Same amount of time so I drive, that way I can go at my own pace and timing.

Other banks will deny for too many recent open cards and some are more arbitrary about it and doesn't publish their rules. Chase also doesn't limit the number of open cards or have lifetime limits like amex.

All the banks have good and bad and none of it should be taken personally if you're denied. Everyone has to decide whose rules they want to play within in and what works for them. I hate bofa but they have Alaska's card and those miles are worth any issues I may incur by having one of their cards.

Gonna kinda do a bragging post here....sorry, LOL.

This weekend was my friends annual Halloween party. Back in 2016, I started Contrave (it's a drug) and managed to lose 70lbs. When the fiance dumped me in Jan, I managed to drop to 75lbs loss total (I had gained about 10lbs....so it was a 15lbs loss at the time). I found out the ex suddenly got married at the end of September to the girl he started to date after me. She's 8 years younger than me (I'm 10 years older than him), but she looks 15 years older than me, LOL. I know he's not happy, he's gained a bunch of weight and everyone (my friends) was commenting how bad he looks in his "wedding" photos. He's not smiling, etc.

Anyways, yesterday I turned 43.....And it was great to put this photo on my FB to show just how far I have come! I know the ex is probably jealous AF, (he stalks my FB several times a day) so it's also nice to rub it in, LOL. Now if I could just find a flipping guy! UGH, online dating (or dating at all) really sucks! LOL.

Heads up for anyone going to Universal now through the end of 2019 - you get 10% off your qualifying merchandise purchase of $75 or more at Islands or Studios with any Amex card. You have to show the Amex coupon code in the Universal app. Not valid at locations in Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade, or for purchases of tobacco, “collectibles”, books, movies, or CDs. I know plenty of HP merch is available in the big Universal souvenir shops so that might be a way around the exclusion of the WWoHP stores.

Maybe this is old news but I am so happy to have an excuse to buy a Ravenclaw robe on my solo weekend trip in 3 weeks

I think I am going to transfer some of my Membership Rewards points to Delta. Anyone recall if there has been any transfer bonuses from MR's to Delta Skymiles relatively recently that I should hold out for? As much as I can tell the last time there was something was 2011...but that could obviously be old information since it is from a 2014 post.

The outlet store ran an awesome price one year at BF when I was at the outlets in Phoenix and I kick myself all of the time for not purchasing them since they would have shipped them to MD for me. Instead I opted for a watermelon slice that doesn’t even work.
